Easily one of the most original romantic comedy's I have seen is ages, 'Try Seventeen' manages to side-step all the cheesy cliches usually inherent in this kind of film. Great dialogue is only one of the many praises I can heap upon the script. It's witty, intelligent, original, and not afraid to take chances with the audience. But the story is all the more richer for it. It never steps where you think it will, instead surprising the viewer with some scenarios we haven't seen before." Read more.

August 7, 2002 - A fan on the LiveDaily.com message boards got to meet Elijah Wood at the Comic Book Convention that was being held in San Diego this past weekend. Justine writes, "Well, only about two or three people actually got to take a photo with Elijah and Billy because the only time they saw them was at the presentation. BUT ME, I got to go to the Green Room with Dominic and I got to meet them there! Ahhh! I got a hug and a kiss from Elijah and man, he is so NICE and has BEAUTIFUL eyes. I was so freakin' excited." July 26, 2002 - MTV News caught up with Mandy Moore, Franka Potente, and Elijah Wood on the set of 'Try Seventeen' in Vancouver (so it was taped quite awhile back). Mandy and Elijah talked about how uncomfortable their secret kissing scene was in the film, and Franka commented, "I really like him." Rumors had surfaced that Elijah had dumped Mandy for Franka. July 11, 2002 - E! Online's Ted Casablanca reports Elijah was spotted with guy and gal pals at Ralphs on Sunset in Hollywood. He wore jeans and a retro Grateful Dead jersey-style shirt and asked where he could pick up microwave mac 'n' cheese.
