if Frodo and Sam are lovers, and he said no. He feels that the characters
have a close relationship that "sort of transcends friends. Those
feelings are probably there, and they probably exist. I wouldn't
say that it has anything to do with homosexuality, but it is certainly
one possible interpretation. I don't think Frodo or Sam, in the way
