17, 2004 - According to Elijah Wood, Kylie Minogue missed out on a part
in 'Lord of the Rings' because director Peter Jackson thought she was too
small to play the part of elf queen Galadriel. The part instead went to
Cate Blanchett, who at 5' 9" is nine inches taller. "Kylie Minogue auditioned
for Galadriel," Wood told talk show host Graham Norton. "I think Peter
Jackson still has her on tape. She is probably a bit too short for an elf."
