31, 2001 - The New York Daily News reports Curtis Hanson, of L.A. Confidential
and Wonder Boys fame, just signed to direct the Eminem movie. A start date
has yet to be scheduled.

New Eminem single out on the net called Girls... Em now is slamming Fred
Durst of Limp Bizkit as well as Everlast and Dilated Peoples. Em mentions

reports Australian authorities are considering whether or not to allow
Eminem to enter the country to tour, with Em's character being a factor.

for Eminem as GQ's Man of the Year at GQ.com, though you'll have to fill
out a bunch of personal questions... they are giving away a $10k wardrobe
and trip to NY though.

featured via satellite to accept his World Music Award for World's Best
Selling Rap Artist on the replay of the awards show that aired Monday night.
Em said he would've been there but Prince Albert didn't want him there.

again showing a softer side as Peoplenews.com reports he loves the UK show
Pet Rescue as a source at Polydor revealed, "He watched a lot of
TV when he was in the UK and Pet Rescue really caught his eye. He can't

oddsmaker Benjamin Echstein, CEO of America's Line, gave odds on Eminem
droping esctasy at 4-5, taking pills at 1-9, smoking pot at 10-1 saying
"E is reportedly his drug of choice. Echstein gives 1-20 odds he'll violate
his probation but says odds he'll get caught are 7-5.

Tribe, as he's an old friend with the Tribe's frontman Fidel Garcia.

World reports a friend says before Kim decided to give all of Eminem's
possessions in her home to charity she "wanted to burn it all."
May 22, 2001 - The Enquirer's
Mike Walker reports Eminem, Snoop, and Dr. Dre fear for their lives now
that Suge Knight is out of jail since they are filming The Wash in the
streets of LA, where they are easy targets. The beefed-up security for
the film is costing $250,000!

Eminem, Puff Daddy, Dr Dre, Q-Tip, Snoop Dogg, top record producers and
label executives are expected to attend a rap summit June 12 and 13 to
discuss the image of violence and controversy that surrounds hip-hop.

court agency in Michigan has recommended that Eminem pay $142,480 a year

shoulders with world diplomacy Wednesday as rap singers, politicians and
music industry leaders gathered at U.N. headquarters to dispel the notion
that hiphop is all sex, drugs and violence. KRS-One told the gathering,

Eminen and his hometown crew D12 have designated June 19 as Devil's Night,
as the group's debut album will be released. Em's publicist, Dennis Dennehy,
told MTV "It's Eminem to the sixth power."

Sunday Sport reports Eminem recently hooked up with a British fan he met
in Las Vegas. After Em invited her to a club called Baby's, the pair hit
it off and went to his room, where Mathers made his move. Beba Watson then
revealed, "It was fast, furious and fantastic. Eminem may be one of the
world's top stage acts, but his performance between the sheets is pretty
damn goo too."

Kim recently gave all of Eminem's clothes to a charity shop.
May 13, 2001 - Boy George
is commenting to Detour magazine on Eminem calling him the "Great White
Dope" and declares, "I hate the fact that I find him sexually attractive."

Clown Posse's road manager, William B. Dail, was arrested and released
on bond after allegedly choking a man who waved an Eminem T-shirt in front
of the band on Tuesday in Omaha, Nebraska. Read more.

World reports Eminem has received death threats after two bullets with
his name written on them were found outside an LA hotel where he was staying.

Night Live's Weekend Update; "Marshall Mathers II, the father of rapper
Eminem, said this week that he wants to reunite with his son after 25 years.
Eminem's dad said he's desperate to rebuild their relationship and has
left a checking account number where he can be reached."
May 4, 2001 - The Sun reports
the odd moment where Eminem was announced as a winner at the World Music
Awards, which led to the announcement "He can't be here. We filmed his
acceptance in New York this afternoon but it didn't get here in time -
so we'll put it in later for the TV."
May 4, 2001 - Eminem won
World's Best Selling Rap Artist at the World Music Awards in Monaco on
Wednesday in Monaco.
May 4, 2001 - Inside Edition
talked to Eminem's father Marshall Mathers II who says, "I don't think
it's ever too late to begin a relationship and I would love nothing more
than to at least be on open terms with him." Mathers says he hasn't seen
his son in over 25 years.
May 3, 2001 - The New York
Post's Liz Smith reports Beyonce Knowles is insisting that she's not dating
Eminem. Her rep, Yvette Schure, added "This is a Christian girl who wouldn't
lie about anything. She does not have a boyfriend at the moment. She is
only 19 years old. She is just a normal kid who would never date anyone
in the industry. I have to equate this with other nasty 'made up' stories
about her, such as that she was somewhere in a nightclub quaffing champagne.
She never went to that club and she doesn't drink! She has never tasted
champagne."
May 3, 2001 - Eminem told
the BBC "Sometimes I do think, like what if I push the limit on something?
What if there's a crazy fan who wants to shoot me while I'm on stage or
something, you know what I mean?"
May 2, 2001 - The Los Angeles
Times surveyed "22 of the most powerful executives in the record business"
for comments on the future of top current musicians, including Eminem.
An executive said of Slim, "He's arguably the most profound lyricist I've
heard. 'Stan' is a brilliant record. My feeling is his fan base will grow
with him. People are interested in knowing what he's going to think three
years from now and five years from now. He doesn't just have a hit, but
a point of view that is interesting and unique." Read more.
May 2, 2001 - In regards
to the stale semi-nude photo of Eminem appearing in Cosmo originally featured
in Rolling Stone, Eminem recently told Glue magazine, a Los Angeles alternative
publication, that folks would be disappointed in his genitalia because
it's "...small and funny-shaped." Em also admitted in the article that
he attended a few drag shows back in the early 1990s.
May 2, 2001 - Peoplenews.com
reports Eminem will appear in a new film entitled The Wash along with Dr.
Dre and Snoop Dogg. The film is a comedy set at a car wash, which will
be written and directed by DJ Pooh.
