Eminem's edited version of The Real Slim Shady causing a radio station
to be fined. The show will include Russell Simmons, Henry Rollins and a
slew of other musicians and pundits.

one year of probation Thursday on a weapons charge from his run-in with

Daily News quotes MTV spokeswoman Jeannie Kedas on deciding to play the

provided us with an acceptable version for our air."

Truth reports Eminem's publicist has called reports the rapper and Samantha

Daily News reports MTV won't be playing the Purple Pills video after the
network wasn't happy with changes made to the video. The paper also says
the D12 release party Tuesday at Swirl was 'rather sedate.' You can check

June 22, 2001 - Em apparently
didn't stay at the D12 release party long as the New York Post reports
he was surrounded by a mob of bodyguards, at Serena's new Tuesday night
hip-hop party hosted by model Tyson Beckford.
June 20, 2001 - News of the
World reports Eminem has ended a short relationship with Beyonce and has
now moved on to 18 year old Samantha Mumba. The site also has a picture

Eminem claims that he can’t help swearing because he has Tourette’s syndrome.
"I want to say bird or bee, but suddenly I hear words like f*** or sh**
or I’ll strangle your mother coming out of my mouth. I’m actually a really

D12's debut album will include a public service announcement saying that

Interscope ordered Eminem to revise the lyrics and title on the D12 song
Purple Pills to Purple Hills, yet drug campaigners are furious that fans

June 14, 2001 - Music legend
Paul McCartney commented on Eminem during his Larry King interview earlier
this week saying of rap music, "I like it. I don't really listen to a lot
of it. I like some of Eminem's stuff, because it's kind of clever."
June 14, 2001 - Brian Grazer
talked to Access Hollywood yesterday regarding the Eminem movie he'll be
producing saying, "Right now, it's untitled. It's sort of Saturday Night
Fever today. It's not a bio-pic or anything. But it deals with Eminem,
or that character in Detroit, really living hard."
June 14, 2001 - Melissa Etheridge
talked to Rolling Stone for July's issue and when asked about her controversial
support of Eminem she said, "I drew a lot of fire from some of my community,
my little sexual community, for that. But it's just real clear to me that
I am an artist and an American and a homosexual, and even though I certainly
don't like and am fearful of some of the things in his lyrics, I will never
say that he cannot say it, ever. That would just be hypocritical of me,
to stand up and say, 'Let me be who I am and say what I want, but you can't.'
That's not my job." Etheridge added, "I think he's a great artist. I think
he's troubled."

June 13, 2001 - Further fallout
from the FCC $7,000 fine against KKMG in Colorado as Kathleen Kirby, a
lawyer representing the station said, "Everybody's been put on notice that
'The Real Slim Shady' clean version is indecent. If they play it and a
listener complains, they're in even more trouble." Read more.
June 12, 2001 - News of the
World reports Eminem is kicking his alcohol habit in an effort to stay
sober so that he can give his new label, Shady Records, his full
attention.
June 11, 2001 - The New York
Daily News reports Mariah Carey, Eminem, Eve, Nelly and Run DMC hung out
together at NV/289 on Wednesday in New York. The group danced and drank
Veueve Clicquot until the club closed at dawn.
June 10, 2001 - Debbie Mathers-Nelson,
formerly Debbie Mathers-Briggs, tells the Detroit Free Press she was hoodwinked
into accepting a $25,000 settlement saying, "My lawyer pressured me into
this. I tried to fire Mr. Gibson twice, and he wouldn't accept it. He refused
to withdraw."
June 10, 2001 - Fashion designer
Betsey Johnson, a breast-cancer survivor, keeps herself in shape by exercising

gave his opinion to Sonicnet on the Grammys saying, "I think they should
get a new board to handle the hip-hop. They should get some hip-hop people
to handle the hip-hop board. They probably have the same people that handle

the Billboard [charts] and see who's at the top. 'OK, Will Smith, Eminem.'"

featured in a sketch art poster up for bids on ebay. The 17.5x22.5 inch
print is unbid at $9.99 and the auction ends today.
June 9, 2001 - Eminem is
blasting Britney Spears in a sexually charged song entitled Ain't Nuttin
But Music, which is featured in the new D12 album. The lyrics can be found

June 8, 2001 - Eminem and
D-12 was on 106&park where an unnamed member of D12 sarcastically said
"Christina is my homie, ma dog!" and later after playing Lady Marmalade
Eminem said, "Christina Aguilera, b****." Em also took shots at Fred Durtz
and Dj Lethal.

the Eminem movie based on his life will be titled Fight Song.
June 7, 2001 A Colorado radio
station was fined $7,000 for airing the radio edit of Eminem's The Real
Slim Shady. KKMG's parent company, Citadel Communications, claimed that
it wasn't violating FCC rules, according to the notice issued by the agency.

denied a request by Eminem's mother to collect more money for settling

Eminem's grandmother Betty Kresin has told her Eminem has his heart set

from touring the UK this summer.

reviewed the D12 Devil's Night album. Neek says, "Overall, this is a cool
album. I mean I'm far from an Eminem fan, but he proves consistency with

June 2, 2001 - The New York
Post reports Mariah Carey and Eminem were seen together at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday
night having drinks at the Church Bar in the Tribeca Grand Hotel before
going to her home nearby. Her rep Cindi Berger told the Post, "Mariah has
worked with every rapper in the business and showed Eminem the video [Loverboy]
which debuts June 8."

June 1, 2001 - A support
recommendation filed by the Macomb County Friend of the Court is being
contested by both Kim and Eminem, both arguing about the financial figure.
Kim's lawyer said, "The sum recommended for child support and the percentage
allocation recommended for health care expenses are, by reason of the parties'
singularly disparate incomes and holdings, inadequate and inequitable."
