straight into a live concert with Eminem at Gig On The Green in Glasgow,

asked by an Australian reporter if he was looking forward to leaving the
country on his way to Japan. Slim responded, "I'm looking forward to getting
you out of my face. You (media) are aggravating me." Eminem then flipped
off the media as he walked away.

reports Eminem declared war on the prime minister of Australia over the

Prime Minister John Howard bashed Eminem saying, "I don't like his music.
I don't like his lyrics. I don't like the allusions to violence that are
involved in his performance."

5'9" talked to Vibe about Slim's help in launching his career saying, "I'll

World reports Eminem took up fishing while on tour in Australia where he
reportedly told pals, "It's different and it's cool. When I go fishing
I can take time out and think about things."

poll asking if you thought Eminem's diss of Limp Bizkit in 'Girls'
is a PR nightmare for Interscope, the label for both bands, 24.1% said
yes, while 50.5% said no, and 25.4% labeled it a publicity stunt, with
390 total votes.
July 27, 2001 - Eminem told
fans at his performance last night at the Rod Laver Arena, "I want to buy
a house and move here, but I don't think your Prime Minister would like

July 22, 2001 - Hilary Rosen,
president of the Recording Industry Association of America was asked to
read out some violent, sexually graphic lyrics from Eminem's Kill You by
the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Telecommunications and the

picture of Eminem flipping the bird is up for bids on ebay. The photo,
item 1448573425, is unbid at $21.99 and the auction ends today.
July 21, 2001 - The New York
Daily News reports the Eminem-Mariah Carey meeting last weekend may have
ended her 3 year romance with Luis Miguel. Write Mitchell Fink says, "There
is little doubt in my mind that the pop diva and the artist formerly known
as Marshall Mathers 3rd have struck up a relationship that goes beyond
business."
July 21, 2001 - D12's Swift
says the decision to tone down Purple Hills was theirs alone. "The controversy
over the song is kind of crazy because it ain't nothing but music. It's
not anything that'll make anybody go out and do something wrong. It's just
music. We're trying to bring the fun back out of rap. They're taking it
too seriously."
July 20, 2001 - The Star
reports Kary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are upset with their mother because
she refuses to let them go see Eminem in concert. She says the rapper is
a 'horrible influence' while the twins tell mom, "We never get to have
any fun!"

Eminem was forced by British safety officers to agree to use a toy chainsaw
instead of a real one as the officers feared it could fly out of his hands.

Eminem will headline the inaugural Reading USA festival in Camden, New
Jersey on September 8th at the Tweeter Center. Also on the bill will be

the "white powdery substance" police found on in the police car Kim Mathers
was in were dope. Michigan police charged Kim with drug possesion though
her lawyer told the Detroit News, "The drugs were not hers."

Daily News reports Mariah Carey and Eminem met up at her apartment in New
York last weekend, though Em's rep insists the two are "just friends."
Mariah's rep Cindi Berger said "They are working on a potential deal involving

Daily News reports a parent of a Tourette's sufferer isn't laughing at
Eminem blaming his nasty lyrics on the syndrome. Drew Nieporent revealed,
"Hugh Grant and Eminem are mimicking what they think the disorder is. Outbursts
of profanity happen in less than 10% of the cases, but that's what's been
popularized."
July 14, 2001 - Eminem is
quoted in US Weekly's loose talk section on being a responsible parent
saying, "Of course you don't want your kids [swearing]. But remember how
fun it was to cuss when you were in the first grade?"

was arrested July 8th in suburban Detroit and could face cocaine possesion

those behind the Eminem film are looking for an actress to star as Slim's

Australian Prime Minister John Howard blasted Eminem's lyrics which he
said were demeaning to women saying, "You cannot have these constantly
gratuitous exhortations to violence and not expect some impact, some consequence,
some spin-off." Eminem will hold a press conference in Australia July 26th

Hannes Niggenaber told the Scottish Daily Record that Eminem is serving
as a positive influence to children saying, Kids need rebellion. If they
don't dare to rebel themselves, they let bad boys like Eminem do it. Parents
want their kids to idolise scientists or sports stars, but kids laugh at
that idea and look for role models who fit in with their own state of mind,
idols who they can look up to."
