for rapper Eminem on pay per search engine Overture.com continued to run
strong in the month of February despite his relative low profile ahead
of the release of 'The Eminem Show' likely a few months from now, to be
followed by the release of his debut film role, '8 Mile'. Searches for
his name 'Eminem' topped 145,000, while his real name only got 1,813 and
'Slim Shady' got 9,478. His most searched for song lyric was for 'Stan',
while the most popular misspelling was 'Eminen'. For a complete list of

31, 2002 - Eminem and his record label Interscope Records have been sued
by French composer Jacques Loussier who claims the rapper stole parts of
"Pulsion" one of his track 'Kill You' that appears on 'The Marshall Mathers

March 31, 2002 - Sir Elton
John was on Last Call with Carson Daly on Friday when he explained his
decision to peform with Eminem at the Grammy awards in 2001. Elton reasoned,
"Because I loved the record and I looked for him -- and everyone was giving
him -- for being, saying the lyrics are homophobic. I looked at him, I
said, 'You're not a hateful guy at all.' And I really loved the album.
And I thought -- it was a shocking album. I loved it. It's like, I was
talking to you earlier about watching a video last night by System of a
Down, and I just hadn't seen anything that, kind of, wow! For a long time.
And when you see that thing, it stays with you and it's very powerful.
And Eminem I found very powerful. And I defended him and I got a lot of
crap for it because I'm a gay man, blah, blah, blah. But you know what?
And I met him and we rehearsed, and I knew he was a sweetheart. And --
you know, he's -- for me it was a privilege to actually do something with
someone like that."

poster on the GroupieCentral.com message boards shared a run-in she had
with Eminem and D12 about a year ago. lonchick writes, "We were invited
to join D12 in the penthouse to smoke more weeds and stuff. Our aim was
to know what was Marshall Mathers like and not shagging him although we
had opportunities to do it, but we refused, as we were enjoying ourself
with them all, smoking and just letting time go by..." Who knows if her

reports Eminem and ex Spice Girl Geri Halliwell have been meeting up regularly
for cosy lunches and dinners after meeting by the pool of the Sunset Marquis
Hotel in Los Angeles when both stayed there. A friend of the former Ginger
Spice said, "You wouldn’t expect them to have much in common — certainly
in terms of their lifestyles. But their relationship seems to work. Geri
is having a great time. She and Eminem have been out together a few times,
bowling and for meals. Who knows whether it will lead to romance?" One
of Slim's memorable lyrics was, "I can’t figure out which Spice Girl I

reports Eminem is embarrassed after being spotted getting a facial at Ole
Henriksen Face/Body salon in Los Angeles, only to have it reported in US
Weekly. A source said, "He's freaked out now, being so masculine and all."
The source didn't have much sympathy for Slim adding, "If he didn't want
to be seen, then he shouldn't have arrived with a ton of cars and security."

reports Eminem, Mark Wahlberg, and Ray Liotta all were spotted getting
facials on the same day at the Ole Henriksen Face/Body salon in Los Angeles.
March 10, 2002 - According
to Trickology.com on Thursday, Eminem called into Hot 97 to say that his
new album 'The Eminem Show' is "angry." It's now coming out May 28 and
his movie is supposed to be out in September. So indeed, if this is true,
the disc has been delayed at least a month.
March 5, 2002 - MTV News
reports Eminem's D12 pal Proof is giving details on the rapper's new LP,
'The Eminem Show.' Proof said, "It's not that angry, and it shouldn't be,
'cause he'd be fake.' If he's still talking the same sh**, what would be
the maturity in it? If he's talking [about how] he's broke or wants to
kill everybody, [that won't work anymore.] He's happy now. The muthafu**er
