Child's fourth album 'Destiny Fulfilled', which moved over 496,000 copies

November 22, 2004 - Curvy
Eminem fan Kimberly Lee spoke with News of the World about her bedroom
romp with the rapper after meeting him at a Hollywood bash thrown by his
friend Kid Rock. "Eminem had a huge suite and we started kissing on the
white sofa in the living room," Lee revealed. "He soon started touching
me and he gently peeled off my black halter-neck top leaving me in only
a short black skirt. As I sat there topless, he began to kiss and caress
my boobs. Then I took down his baggy jeans and showed him the time of his
life. That's when he started doing his little sex commentaries—as though
they were rap songs. Then after 20 minutes or so, Eminem turned his full
attention on me...and I'm telling you now, he knew exactly what he was
doing. There is nothing you can teach Eminem on how to satisfy a woman."

November 22, 2004 - On Tuesday's
'Total Request Live', Eminem blasted the violence that occured the previous
night at the Vibe Awards in Santa Monica, California. "The whole concept
behind 'Toy Soldiers' was to put an end to basically what we saw last night,
which disgusted me," he said, referring to a track on his just released
'Encore' album. "It's like when LL (Cool J) and Kool Moe Dee were feuding,
it didn't have to come to this. This was stupid. Before it comes to this,
let's stop it right now in hip-hop." Read more.
November 22, 2004 - Roger
Friedman of FoxNews.com is turning his nose up on news that Eminem's latest
album 'Encore' sold "only" around 737,000 copies in its first few days

by his anti-Bush rhetoric, the parody of Michael Jackson, and lip-synching
'Mosh' on 'Saturday Night Live'. Read more.

November 15, 2004 - The Sun
reports Radio 1's DJ Tim Westwood believes Eminem has more influence than
any politician after his new album 'Encore' topped the UK charts after
only two days of sales, which set a record. "Eminem is as important and
influential as any politician — maybe more so because he has the ear of
the hip-hop generation," he said. "If you want to access today’s youth
it's through hip-hop. The people he is speaking to are the youth who wouldn't
normally vote. If he ever went into politics he would be excellent."
November 15, 2004 - Rolling
Stone caught up with Eminem for a Q&A and asked him about Paris Hilton
appearing in his 'Just Lose It' video, who many think would be someone
he'd be dissing instead. Em explained, "Well, when I was on MTV with La
La it kinda slipped out. La La said, 'How did you manage to get Paris?'
I said: 'Well, I love Paris. I love her almost as much as she loves herself.'
Then I was like, 'Damn, that was fu**ed up.' I try not to attack people
who haven't attacked me first. As far as the image she portrays right now,
as far as the way my girls look at her, do I want them to grow up to be
like that? No. But for a video, for entertainment, that's a different thing.
The song is about goin' to the club and losin' it, and you get so drunk
you say the wrong thing. And we needed somebody to punch me, slap me and
pull my hair. Our first candidate was Jessica Alba. We couldn't get Jessica,
and Paris happened to be in town." Read more.
November 15, 2004 - Dan Aquilante
of the New York Post reviewed Eminem's new album 'Encore', claiming the
latest CD from the world's top selling rapper "doesn't disappoint." Aquilante
writes, "This disc is a clear continuation of his Grammy-grabbing 'The
Eminem Show'; that's why it's called 'Encore.' Vented rage, violence as
the solution and broken-home whines and poses are the heart and soul of
this record... His raps are guilty pleasures. He's ironic, witty and a
prankster at heart. Humor boils under his deadpan gangsta smirk and hard
words." Read more.
November 15, 2004 - Anonymous
writes "As late as August, Game thought he had it — Dr. Dre's last-ever
recorded rap verse. While working on Game's debut LP, Dr. Dre got in the
booth and rapped on a track; shortly afterward, he told the young artist,
"That's it." No more Dre raps. Earlier this year, Dre announced he had
given up on his long-awaited 'Detox' album to focus on producing the wealth
of talent signed to his Aftermath imprint, which includes 50 Cent, Game,
Busta Rhymes, Eminem and Eve. Now Dre's plans have apparently been revamped,
which is hinted at on Eminem's 'Encore'. Read more."

November 15, 2004 - Jim Farber
of the New York Daily News reviewed Eminem's new album 'Encore', claiming
the album shows the rapper "often acts levelheaded, analytical, even contrite.
At least by his standards." Farber added, "On 'Encore,' he can be maddening,
self-involved, repetitive and still prone to blaming others. But in his
most inspired moments, Eminem focuses his frustration, not just on the
usual critics and celebrities but, at last, on himself." Read more.

November 8, 2004 - Damon
Hodge of Las Vegas Weekly weighed in on Eminem's controversial new single
'Mosh', claiming its video "nearly out-Fahrenheits 'Fahrenheit 9/11'."
He writes, "'Mosh' keeps the spirit of rap activism, Eminem's global popularity
allowing him to reach more people than Chuck D ever could, and his don't-give-a-f--k
attitude lets him push the envelope further than Chuck ever did with all
his Black Panther-tinged elocution." Read more.

Two books. It was reading month or something."

it. This is a very, very serious issue for us." Read more.
November 8, 2004 - The New
York Daily News reports Eminem guzzled six Yoohoo sodas during his Sirius
radio appearance last week. The rapper declined to diss 'Saturday Night

later he apparently lip-synched 'Mosh' himself.
November 8, 2004 - The New
York Post spoke with Eminem's rep after it appeared the rapper was lip-synching
his anti-Bush track 'Mosh' on 'Satuday Night Live'. The rep insisted Eminem
was merely trying to "duplicate the sound on his album. He had a vocal
track on for double vocal effect [on the first song], to make it more powerful.
Lots of hip-hop artists do that. Tupac [Shakur] did it."
November 8, 2004 - Eminem's
performance of 'Mosh' on 'Saturday Night Live' appeared to be lip-synched,
even thogh his second performance of 'Just Lose It' was live. The sound
matched the radio friendly recorded version, there were no verbal miscues,
and Em said nothing after the performance - leading many to believe his
mic was off. The most apparent clue was when he lowered his mic and words
were still being rapped. Watch a clip from that portion of the "performance"
here.
November 1, 2004 - In an

I do have insecurities." He added, "I've dated a few famous women and gone
down that route, thinking that would work, and they end up being crazier
than I am."

November 1, 2004 - After
his court scare on assault and gun possession charges, Eminem tells the
December issue of Vanity Fair he was scared straight. "Nothing woke me
up more than standing in front of a judge, and my life is in his hands,"
he said. The rapper said that because of that, he will never leave Detroit.
"This is all I've ever known, all I ever want to know," Eminem explained.
"I've seen the world, I've explored the world, I've traveled it, I've played
in places; it's great to visit — this is where I want to live. I don't
want to go to L.A. and get caught up in the party scene. All I ever wanted
to do was to make enough money from music to be able to support myself
and make a living, and have a future for my daughter. That was my plan
from the beginning. It, getting this big — I never planned it."
