spawned the careers of Eminem, Proof and Slum Village, is being resurrected.
But the reopening, by Detroit entrepreneur Kevin "Hustle Simmons" Brown,
has triggered a battle itself, as Brown does not have the blessing of the

15, 2005 - Reports suggesting that Eminem had written a letter to Mariah
Carey wanting to call a truce and become friends are untrue, according
to the rapper's rep. "He's not a guy who plays nice like that," Slim's
flack told Jeannette Walls of MSNBC.com.

Star reports that Eminem has written to Mariah Carey, apologizing to the
singer and offering to put their differences aside. "Em wrote to Mariah
saying he wanted to call a truce," a source revealed. "And she has always
believed in peace and love so was really happy about it. Facing up to the
past and writing to people who have been closest to you is one of the steps
people take in rehab."

Sean of Sky News reports that Eminem has axed his Greatest Hits album because
the Detroit rapper is worried fans will think he's retiring. Meanwhile,
Slim plans to make two of his own movies in a new deal with Universal Pictures,
but there's trouble finding a decent script. "Every script I get sucks,"
Em complained. "At least this way I know I will want to appear in my own
movies."
