December
27, 2005 - Moby is again lashing out at Eminem on his website's journal.
"Misogyny is not funny," Moby wrote on December 6th. "It is not a joke.
And it should not be treated lightly. And now we find out that a British
man who is obsessed with Eminem killed a woman with a metal baseball bat
and stuffed her body into a suitcase. Am I being 'too uptight' for not
seeing the humor in this? Should I 'relax' and see the comedy in a misogynyst
beating a woman to death? Before this British man brutally killed this
woman, he was singing Eminem songs in a karaoke bar. Maybe there's no connection.
Maybe there is. It's disgusting that we even have to ask that question.
It's disgusting that people in the media and the press have celebrated
and glamorized music and musicians who write lyrics that glorify misogyny
and homophobia. There is nothing glamorous about homophobia and misogyny.
Homophobia and misogyny are disgusting and vile and represent the worst
and most atavistic elements of the human spirit." Moby added, "Any employee
of a record company or journalist or radio programmer or MTV employee who
has promoted and celebrated misogynystic or homophobic music should be
ashamed. You have blood on your hands, and you should be deeply, deeply
troubled at the culture that you've helped to create." Read more.

Out magazine caught up with Triumph The Insult Comic Dog for a Q&A
and asked the pretend pooch what was the most misunderstood thing about
him. "That wasn't me on Eminem's video ['Ass Like That'], that was a stand-in,"
he said. "No way would I let Eminem put his hand up my ass. That thing's
been inside Mariah Carey." Read more.
November 24, 2005 - OK! magazine
caught up with 50 Cent for a Q&A and asked if he worried people would
compare his big-screen debut 'Get Rich or Die Tryin'' with Eminem's '8
Mile'. "I don't mind," he said. "'8 Mile' was a huge success for him. I
communicated with him to see what his take on... his experiences in making
the film. He gave me some good tips, advice, and information I could use.
He helps me on a lot of different levels; peole don't know. 'Cause personally,
it's easy for your head to get big when you're having some success, but
when you have good people around you, they'll keep you grounded."
November 6, 2005 - ContactMusic.com
reports that Sir Bob Geldof was upset with Emimem for ignoring requests
by U2 singer Bono to take part in Live 8 earlier this year. Geldof explained,
"Bono called me while I was in Africa and said 'he's (Eminem) not calling
me back. I've got these pictures of kids wearing Eminem and D-12 t-shirts
and we got them sent off to Eminem's office but did we hear anything? It's
sad.'" He added, "If people don't want to do anything, then it's cool,
I'm ok with that, but I wouldn't mind if they got back to us."
