29, 2006 - 7 Action News reports a man named Miad J. says he was punched
in the face by rapper Eminem early Thursday. He says he was hit 4 or 5
times while using the men's room at a local strip club. Witnesses say Eminem
was at the Cheetah's strip club on 8 Mile Road in Detroit Wednesday night,
accompanied by an entourage. Read more.

50 Cent were videotaped leaving the Detroit funeral of slain fellow rapper
Proof. Em and 50 left via the rear of the Fellowship Chapel, on Detroit's
West Outer Drive after attending the four-hour-long funeral service to
commemorate the death of Proof, who was fatally shot last week. Watch footage

Free Press reports that a capacity crowd of about 2,000 people filled Fellowship
Chapel on Wednesday to mourn D12 rapper Proof. People waited in lines that
wrapped around the church to get into the scheduled 11 a.m. service, which
started about 45 minutes late to accommodate the crowd's entry. Among those
in attendance were Eminem, 50 Cent, Obie Trice, D12 members Bizarre, Kuniva,
Kon Artis and Swift, and Eminem's manager Paul Rosenberg. Visibly worn
out, Eminem broke down in tears when speaking. "He taught me how to be
a leader," Eminem said. "I'm sure everybody who has ever met him, even
just once, can testify to the fact that he illuminated a room when he walked
in it. I believe that Proof loved people and people loved him. He was a
magnet. He lured you in. You wanted to learn about him, follow his swagger.
Without Proof, there would be no Eminem, no Slim Shady, no D12." Read more.

Eminem has moved to patch things up with his dying mother Debbie Nelson,
by footing her medical bills. "The nightmare Debbie has been going through
with her cancer has put everything in perspective," a friend said. Em has
agreed to foot the $380,000 bill for his mother's medical treatment. The
insider added, "She is very weak and knows the prognosis is bleak. She
is desperate to build bridges with her son and put things right before
