and Boy George are out slamming Eminem, with Boy George saying, "I worry
that if Hitler or Pol Pot made a good dance record, people would probably
buy that as well. Where do you draw the line? It's almost a given that
if you're going to rap, you have to be mysogynistic and homophobic, so
in that respect it's not particularly clever." As far as Ice, he says of
Slim, "To pick on the Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync is lame -- they're the
easiest targets in the world. Why don't you crack on someone that can say
something back -- like me?"

31, 2000 - Worldpop reports that The Realest predicts Eminem will join
murdered rappers Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G. as hip-hop acts who
come to a tragic end. Ironically, the originally Death Row backed artist
now is under Dr. Dre's Aftermath Records, though this CD will be out under
Death Row.
October 31, 2000 - Eminem
will perform at Manchester's Evening News Arena on February 8th and then
follows up at the London Arena on February 9th.
October 29, 2000 - The UK
Sun is warning parents of the arrival soon of Eminem, where he will play
the Manchester Evening News Arena on the 8th and the London Arena on the
9th, with more shows expected to be added. They report his concert in Toronto
went on as scheduled and he had a chainsaw in hand, as pictured.
October 29, 2000 - Eminem
was selected for the My VH1 Music Awards as a finalist for the categories
of Most Entertaining Public Feud (vs. Everyone) and Coolest Fan Website
(no, not this one) in an interactive music awards show which will air live
on VH1, November 30th at 9:00 PM (ET) from the Shrine Auditorium in Los
Angeles. You can vote at VH1.com until the moment of the award being announced.

told the Toronto crowd Thursday, "They said if I was to perform 'Kill You'
tonight," he said, "then they were gonna arrest me. Well, guess what? I
already played it. So I don't know if you are all aware of the sh** that's

is featured here pictured shirtless in an autographed ebay auction. The

Free Press reports
that Eminem's wife plead guilty to disorderly conduct in the club incident.
The judge had harsh words for Kim, who is still living with Eminem in his
new home but is separated from Eminem.

October 25, 2000 - Chumbawamba
is sampling anti-Napster artists Eminem, Metallica, and Madonna on a remixed
song available on their website. The track is called Pass It Along [MP3
Mix]. Vocalist Dunstan Bruce said of the sampled artists, "When Metallica's
Lars Ulrich said that he was objecting to his art being traded like a commodity,
he was lying. What Ulrich was objecting was his art NOT being traded like
a commodity from which he could reap the lion's share of the profits. If
Ulrich, Madonna and Eminem had never sold any records and were worried
about entering a poverty-stricken old age, then their determination to
stop their music being passed around would be understandable. But what
we're seeing is some of the richest pop stars in the world making the biggest
stink about not being able to screw every last penny from their adoring

October 23, 2000 - Eminem
is in trouble with the law again, this time over a Canadian law which Code
forbids "communicating statements, other than in private conversation,
that willfully promote hatred against any identifiable group." A woman
has filed a formal complaint against the rapper which may end in Eminem's
upcoming performance being cancelled and music stores to pull his CDs.
October 23, 2000 - The Sun
reports that Eminem had a bodyguard watch outside his toilet when he was
at Duke's diner in New York, causing an onlooker to wonder, "I don't know
why he had to take a minder with him. I can only imagine it's because he's
a bit of a tiddler."
October 23, 2000 - Well after
checking in with the Daily News, I get word back that they're still working
on the Peaches story, so we may be seeing additional news on this confusing
situation.
October 23, 2000 - Howard
Stern and Robin Quivers attended the Anger Management Tour show in New
York over the weekend and the two talked about how much Eminem swears.
A guy that was also with them, Ross, yelled out to Eminem that he isn't
much of a role model, though Howard pointed out he was drunk when he yelled
it so he didn't have much room to talk.
October 22, 2000 - Well Peaches
was mentioned by a major publication today in terms of dating Eminem. The
New York Daily News today mentioned, "Word is the foulmouthed platinum
rapper has been seeing a teenage Staten Island pop singer who calls herself
Peaches."
October 22, 2000 - If you've
been watching the World Series, you've probably noticed that whenever the
Yankees Chuck Knoblauch bats, the song they play to introduce him is Eminem's
The Way I Am.
October 22, 2000 - Eminem
was spoofed on Saturday Night Live last night as a cast member played the
part of Em, with Dana Carvey's Church Lady singing, "Will the real church
lady please stand up?" and of Eminem, "I'm Slim Shady I'm headed for Hades."
October 21, 2000 - Eminem
and Dr. Dre debuted at #19 in Entertainment Weekly Power Issue. They said
of the pair "The Dre-produced The Marshall Mathers LP is the best solo
debut in SoundScan's history, positioning the bombastic blond as a lightening
rod for criticism and teen adulation."
October 20, 2000 - Everlast
is firing back at Eminem after being dissed by the rapper in a B-side of
a new D-12 single. Everlast says, "Everybody's trying to fan the flames
now. He made his song; I've got a little something for him on record."
Adding, "Controversy and beef are all he's got to hold on to. I'm going
to respond in my hip-hop fashion; commercially and all that, I'm not too
worried about it. Honestly, homeboy is beneath me, as far as I'm concerned."
He also seems to want to have Em settle his dispute physically by adding,
"If Shorty wants to come and handle me, he can do it with his hands."
October 20, 2000 - Eminem
took a shot at *NSYNC for the opening of the Anger Management Tour by covering
their "Tearing Up My Heart" song with a new version "Tearing Up My Ass".
The vulgar parody featured the members of D-12 'exaggerating' *NSYNC's
dance steps sexually.
October 20, 2000 - Eminem
picked up an award for Virgin Megastores Best Album with his The Marshall
Mathers LP. The ceremony was held at The Arches in Bishopsgate in London
on Thursday.
October 20, 2000 - Death
Row Records' Suge Knight in Controversy Magazine speaks of Eminem, saying
"He is funny....But he better be careful because he's a white boy who says
'Ni****' a little too often. He's gonna say it around the wrong person
who is going to take it to heart and bring his white ass down. I like the
guy but he needs to be careful."
October 18, 2000 - Eminem
was upset at his birthday party at Solar because everyone there he didn't
know, according to Ivy Supersonic who attended the event. He was surrounded
by a bunch of strippers, so he had the bar cleared out for him.
October 18, 2000 - Worldpop
reports that Eminem will take a shot at Everlast in a song titled I Remember
in a B-side of their recent single Sh** on You. Em says of Whitey Ford,
"Back in '94, like right before Miss Everlast was Whitey Ford/When House
Of Pain was out of fame, destined to never jump around again/Kid Rock and
Limp Bizkit came along/Now nobody wants to hear your old ass sing no more/I
was right there laughing when I heard the news/I just wish the cardiac
would have murdered you /I wasn't trying to steal your light or nothing/But
you're a homosexual white rapping Irish/Now you look ridiculous."

made it to #243 on the Powerlist 300, a collection of the most influential
people in Britain, compiled by The Observer newspaper and Channel 4 television
station. Eminem beat out Britney Spears who was #250, though British Prime
Minister Tony Blair topped everyone.
October 17, 2000 - Openly
gay actor and comedian Scott Thompson has recorded a parody of Eminem's
Stan addressing Em's anti-gay lyrics in a satirical way. Check it out here.

York Post reports that Eminem was seen buying Nyquil with his bodyguard
at 2:30 a.m. across the street from the Soho Grand in New York.

Stone reports that Em has been unable to work a plea bargain and could
face jail time, as his lawyer Brian Legghio exclaimed, "It appears Eminem

appearance in court yesterday yielded another pre-trial court date scheduled
for December 18th, so it appears likely his case won't be heard until 2001.

a dangerous weapon after an incident last June are scheduled for today.

legend Boy George is out with high praise for Eminem that he probably doesn't
want. Worldpop reports the Culture Club singer saying, "He's very pretty.
Maybe that's why he's so paranoid. Any attractive man will be paranoid
about his sexuality. It would be good if he was pro-gay and pro-female,
but I think he's just intending to be as obnoxious as possible and sell
as many records as he can."

October 8, 2000 - The third-annual
"100 Hollywood Most" list, featured in the November issue of Movieline
magazine lists Eminem as "Most Horrifying Possible Future Actor."
October 8, 2000 - Eminem
was on SNL last night performing Stan with Dodi alongside as well as The
Real Slim Shady. Slim appeared during the news skit when impersonating
old time rappers were talking about him, criticising his lyrics, which
prompted Em to say he'd stop the negative lyrics and rap like them, wavin
hands in the air like they just don't care.... Not much of an acting role,
but a start. GLAAD had wanted a PSA to run about slain gay teenager Matthew
Shepard, but it never happened. Em censored himself for the live performance
to keep NBC execs happy.
October 5, 2000 - Compliments
from critics, something that might not site well with Eminem... But Teen
Hollywood is reporting that Stan is bringing praise because he encourages
the Stan character to seek counselling. KROQ spokeswoman Lisa Worden admitted,
"I think the song is definitely different, it sends a message I haven't
heard in other songs he's written."

poll asking who deserves to be dissed by Eminem has Britney on top currently

album in Norway, thus achieving gold status.
