September 26, 2001 - Enrique Iglesias and the others who performed on the America: A Tribute to Heroes telethon last Friday will be featured in a CD that will be out in a matter of weeks, according to the New York Daily News' Mitchell Fink. While a price for the album hasn't been set, both the artists and the record companies manufacturing and distribution have waived any of their fees and 100% of the proceeds will benefit the September 11th Telethon Fund. Insiders predict the album will clear 10-15 million copies.

September 25, 2001 - Enrique Iglesias' Hero single is featured on a new commercial for the Jeep Liberty, which they show driving up the Statue of Liberty as his song plays in the background.

September 25, 2001 - Enrique Iglesias will be on MTV's TRL today, and performing, so be sure to tune in.

September 23, 2001 - Enrique Iglesias is scheduled to be on The View on Monday (tomorrow). Their other guest is John Lithgow.

September 23, 2001 - Univision carried on the theme of Enrique and Jennifer Love Hewitt perhaps being more than friends after filming the video for Hero. The site says the publicists still insist the two are "Just friends." A friend though revealed, "Jennifer is crazy about Enrique." So far, the only public photos are of the two hugging, so Univision admits it's difficult to tell what their relationship truly is.

September 22, 2001 - Univision reports Enrique Iglesias took advantage of a recent trip to Mexico City to complain about the press prying into his personal life including his relationship with Miss Universe Alicia Machado and his relationship with father Julio Iglesias.

September 21, 2001 - Enrique Iglesias has officially been added to the multi-network telethon occuring Friday starting at 9 PM, according to his official website. Enrique also will be appearing on The View September 24.

September 21, 2001 - The Star reports romance heated up on the set of Enrique Iglesias' new video shoot for Hero with his video co-star Jennifer Love Hewitt. A pal told the tabloid, "they're not going to rush into marriage, but their absolutely perfect together." Spies say the two were all over each other and during a meal break at the Merv Griffin resort in Palm Springs, the two excused themselves and went to Enrique's room.

September 20, 2001 - Entertainment Tonight reported Wednesday that Mariah Carey has been added to the still incomplete list of people to perform in AMERICA: A Tribute to Heroes on Friday from 9-11PM, a telethon to raise funds and raise the spirits of all who have been touched by the horrific tragedy that has struck America. There are also reports that Enrique Iglesias is on the bill but nothing confirmed yet. Read more.

September 19, 2001 - Enrique Iglesias is promoting his new single in Mexico and later he'll be promoting in Toronto and New York City. Disappointingly, Enrique has made no comments regarding the terrorist activities in the United States (on his official site anyways) even though two promotional news items have been released since then, one of which even mentions the prime target city, NYC. There are rumors on the official site message board though his appearances have been postponed.. Stay tuned.

September 13, 2001 - Stations around the country have been playing a remix version of Enrique Iglesias' new song Hero in dedication to the several heroes yesterday who lost their lives after evil terrorists attacked yesterday in the United States.

September 12, 2001 - Perhaps a good indication of the poor relationship between Enrique and his father Julio Iglesias, as photos from the LARAS Person of the Year event where Julio was honored show no signs of his son at the Beverly Hills event. Check out photos here.

August 30, 2001 - Thanks enriquesgirl. "It was revealed on a New York Radio station today that Jennifer Love Hewitt will be Enrique's love interest in the video for his new single Hero, which will be delivered to MTV tomorrow."

August 28, 2001 - Thanks enriquesgirl. Enrique's new CD is set to be released October 22nd in Japan, October 29th in Europe and the rest of Asia, and November 6th in the US.

August 25, 2001 - According to the Offical Website, Enrique will appear on the Rosie O' Donnel show on September 25th and the Jay Leno show on November 24th.

August 20, 2001 - Thanks scooby. "Enrique's new single 'Hero' to hit airwaves in the 1st week of Sept. The single will go on sale mid-September in the US. The new album tentatively called Escape to be released in the US on Tues Nov 6. "
