in a sushi bar in Miami. After eating, the couple headed to Enrique's boat

23, 2002 - Enrique Iglesias updated fans on his official website Thursday
telling them, "Hey Everyone- I can't believe how supportive you guys have
been these past couple of weeks. It amazes me how much you guys have done
and it means a lot. I've been busy in NY the past few days doing some shows
for TV (which I recommend all of you to watch!!!). I also did an interview
with YM magazine that will be out on news stands very soon. I'll be in

York Daily news reports that despite talk linking him to Anna Kournikova,
Enrique Iglesias asked Sports Illustrated cover model Yamilla Diaz to his
dressing room during the taping of their MTV 'Fashionably Loud' special
broadcast later tonight. No word on whether she accepted.
February 22, 2002 - Hello
Magazine profiled the breakout success of Enrique Iglesias over the last
few years and father Julio gave his thoughts on his son's success. Julio
said, "I tell him to slow down in life. He’s just bought himself a plane
like mine. It took me 25 years to get one and he’s got himself one in two

Iglesias chatted with MTV's Carson Daly on Total Request Live earlier today
before a rabid female audience. Enrique talked about his 'Escape' video
with Anna, switching from ballad to uptempo from 'Hero' to 'Escape', his
thoughts on the big Lance Bass of *NSYNC news, and performing at Fashionably

York Post reports the Supermodels at Tuesday night's "Fashionably Loud"
special hosted by Molly Sims were forced to endure hormonally-charged S.I.
advertisers, MTV teenyboppers, and performer for the night, Enrique Iglesias
as they walked the catwalk. The models had been fed wine throughout the
day and had to walk the runway without tripping or being handled by Iglesias,
who tried to dance with many of the beauties as they walked past. The Post
revealed Melissa Keller "gave as good as she got, straddling a prone Iglesias
and shimmying over him like a stripper at Scores." Read more.

reports Westlife look likely to bump Enrique Iglesias out of the top spot
in the singles chart to mark their 10th number 1. The boy band’s World
Of Our Own has shifted 19,999 copies, nearly 8,000 more than the Kylie’s
In Your Eyes, midweek figures have revealed. This must mean Enrique was
at best third in the charts.

TV spoke with Carrie Stevens who talked about her romances with KISS drummer
Eric Carr and later Enrique Iglesias. Stevens dated Enrique for three years
beginning the same time she got the cover of Playboy. Stevens explained
their relationship ended at the 2000 Super Bowl where she admitted, "It
was a Super Bowl party and all these playmates were throwing themselves
at him. I got jealous. Neither one of us tried. We let it go." Read more.

of Enrique Iglesias have had trouble on the singer's official site message
board the last few days as the forum has been plagued by disappearing posts
and errors. Ravenslea updated fans explaining, "Robyn has e-mailed Fullerene
and The Firm to let them know about the problems with the forum. As today
is a public holiday in the US, it is unlikely that this problem will be
fixed until Tuesday morning."

Iglesias maintained his stranglehold on the #1 positions on both the album
charts (Escape) and the singles charts (Hero) as he beat out a strong challenge
from S Club 7 with 'You'.

spoke with Westlife's Shane Filan who didn't seem to worried about beating
Kylie Minogue and her debut 'In Your Eyes' when they square off with Westlife
releasing 'World Of Our Own'. Filan said, "We are great fans of Kylie and
are looking forward to meeting her at the Brits. But we reckon we will
sell more singles than her." Of his real competition, he cautioned, "Our
real problem may be with Enrique Iglesias who is still so strong at the

Ireland reports U2, The Corrs, and Enrique Iglesias have been added to
the 2002 Meteor Ireland Music Awards which will take place March 4 at the
Point Theatre. The acts join Westlife and Samantha Mumba on the bill. This

York Post added more credence to reports that Anna Kournikova has dumped
Sergei Fedorov in favor of her 'Escape' video co-star, Enrique Iglesias.
The paper said the pair "were spotted canoodling their way down Fifth Avenue
the other day, shopping at several stores along the way."
February 15, 2002 - Rolling
Stone spoke with Enrique Iglesias about feeling that some have that the
use of his huge hit 'Hero' already being used to sell Jeeps may dilute
the post 9-11 meaning for people. Enrique explained, "Ahhh, it's OK. I
don't really care about it," adding, "They asked me to do more [endorsements]
but I said no. It does change the meaning. And to a point, it's too much."

reports Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova are reportedly hot and heavy
after Anna broke up with her hockey star boyfriend Sergei Federov last
month. The couple recently dined at posh Barney's restaurant in New York.
An onlooker told the the Sun, "They were real cosy in the back corner and
then left together. Once outside they window-shopped for an hour or so
on Fifth Avenue with their arms around one another's waists. They were
kissing on the street as they walked to a car that was waiting for them."

talked about working with Anna Kournikova on 'Escape', how he lies about

meeting Enrique after the taping of the Rosie O'Donnell earlier today.
saycheese said, "I went straight up to him and dragged my cousin with me.
I said hi and he said hey! You are the only one here? I said yeah I have
you all to myself. He then said with a smile because you are my girl! Then
he said wait a minute you look familiar. Then we spoke where we met. He
asked if I'm going to his concert at radio city. I said yeah. He asked

and his sex life, but downplayed rumors that both of those subjects recently
crossed. Enrique said, "There was this chemistry between us, I was attracted
to her and would love to go out with her, of course, but she is taken."
Meanwhile, he admitted of his own love life, "It is hard to find someone
who really loves you.It is so tough. You see more of sex than love. At
25 (Enrique is actually 26), I get enough sex, but I do want to be loved.
I have been in love but I used to fall in love a lot easier when I was

Stone spoke with Enrique Iglesias about his new video for Escape which
features Anna Kournikova. Enrique revealed the process for selecting the
tennis star saying, "Instead of a model, we thought 'Lets do it with somebody
that nobody expects.'" As for the spicy finished product and whether he
and Anna are an item, Enrique revealed, "I'm not dating her, but I'm definitely
attracted to her."

revealed his moodiness in the morning. Enrique said of his road manager
who had woken him up the day of the interview, "I swore at him and told

Enrique was portrayed as grumpy about doing interviews telling reporters,

Hinckley of the New York Daily News looked at how songs that might be considered
important have been eliminated from that distinction because the artist
sells themselves out to use the tunes to sell a product. Included on the
list was Enrique Iglesias' 'Hero', as Hinckley wrote, "Responding to a
column here about Sept. 11 songs, a reader calling himself Char Rao says
that after the WTC attack, he was betting that the pop song we would adopt
as our national musical statement would be Enrique Iglesias' 'Hero.' Then
he woke up one day to see that Chrysler had beaten us to it, renting 'Hero'
for the TV ad where a Jeep Liberty drives up the side of the Empire State
