May 31, 2002 - A fan
on Enrique Iglesias' official site message board posted her photos she
took arm-in-arm with Enrique Iglesias outside his hotel stop in Berlin
on Tuesday. The fan explained she waited outside the hotel for hours, where
it rained part of the time, which is why she looked "like ... that." Check

May 26, 2002 - Ananova reports
MTV Romania will be available to 1.4 million households due to MTV's deal
with Romanian cable TV broadcaster Music Television Systems. The station
will launch with an exclusive concert by Enrique Iglesias from the Romanian

May 26, 2002 - Maureen Coleman
of the Belfast Telegraph is still glowing over her recent interview with
Enrique Iglesias. When Enrique told Coleman he loved Belfast so much he
was thinking about living there, she told offered him a spare room. Coleman
gushed, "I bet he's thinking about it!" A male friend of hers happened
to run into Iglesias and handed her a copy of the newspaper containing
the article by Coleman about Enrique. Enrique said, "I'll take this with
me and read it in the car." Of course with that news she's hoping Enrique

from Enrique Iglesias' official site states: "It’s been confirmed. On June

May 25, 2002 - Enrique Iglesias
posted a new message to his fans on his official website on Thursday. Enrique
said,"Hi Guys. Today is a day off for me so I wanted to send you a message.
I'm in Italy right now and I have a show here tomorrow. The crowds have
been so amazing, thank you to all of you guys that have been able to come

May 23, 2002 - Enrique Iglesias
chatted with Sugar magazine in their June issue, addressing whether he's
concerned girls are only interested in him because of his fame. Enrique
replied, "Yeah. People always react differently to famous people and it's
hard to find a girl who loves you for what you are, not who you are. But
I don't trust people easily and I think I can tell whether someone's genuine

May 23, 2002 - It appears
concern that Enrique Iglesias would cancel his show in Beirut, Lebanon
on June 9th is unnecessary, as The Daily Star Lebanon reports Enrique himself
said on Monday that he is looking forward to performing there next month.
Enrique is expected to hold a news conference before his June 9 concert
at the Forum de Beyrouth where he'll sign autographs for about 50 fans.

of the Belfast Telegraph reviewed Enrique Iglesias' show at the Odyssey
Arena last night saying, "From the moment Enrique Iglesias stepped onto
the stage at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast last night, it was obvious this
was going to be a show strictly for the ladies. Those poor men who did
come along to accompany their wives or girlfriends could only look on helplessly
on as the Spanish singing sensation whipped the packed arena into near

his being featured on CNN's People in the News over the weekend, Enrique
Iglesias chatted with CNN.com's 'The Music Room', where he was asked whether
he considers himself more a Latin or U.S. artist. Enrique replied, "Well,
I was so much influenced by Anglo pop musically, but I mean my background
is Spanish. And even a little bit of Asian, because my mom is part Asian.
I feel that I'm Spanish, but at the same time I feel like I grew up in
America because I moved to America when I was 8 years old. I think I have

show that Enrique arrived nearly an hour late for only to leave the country
quickly after the performance in the RDS. Enrique quickly sped off to London

chatted with Enrique Iglesias after his show at the Odyssey Arena in Ireland.
Enrique gushed, "The reception was absolutely amazing, I enjoyed every
minute of it. I love this place. I kinda knew what to expect in Belfast
but even so, it's been just fantastic. I hope to be back again in November,

tells The Mirror on the final night of his sell-out three-night run at
the Royal Albert Hall that he loves the women of London. "London women
are beautiful - gorgeous - and I love it here," he said.
May 19, 2002 - Fans on Enrique
Iglesias' official message board again were bickering about an apparently
cancellation of another Enrique concert stop in Beirut, Lebanon. bissi781
wrote, "He's losing many fans this way... Doesnt this scare you? what if
he just cancels the concert you're going to?" aida_jallad said while the
website doesn't indicate the concert is happening, there still are TV and

May 18, 2002 - Enrique Iglesias
was on Britain's C4 Popword recently where he talked about the possibility
of him posing nude. Enrique said, "I would consider posing nude for $50,000
but not less. No, that's not true - I'd pose for free. Nah, I wouldn't
pose for free." He later said, "Of course it would have to be artistic.
But I still wouldn't be able to do it." In explaining his reluctance, Enrique
said, "Once I was this close (indicates a very small distance with his
fingers) to doing it, but I didn't have the guts to pull my pants down.
You know, there isn't a lot to see."
May 18, 2002 - Enrique Iglesias
opened up about his father Julio in an interview with Night and Day magazine.
The younger Iglesias said of his father, "I'm sure at some stage we will
spend more time together but now is not the time. Because we don't see
each other often, people say we hate each other. That's not true. As an
artist and a parent, my father is the best. He has the biggest heart and
that is what counts. My father taught me my work ethic. When you grow up
in that environment, with a famous parent, you see children who are spoiled.
I cannot stand that. I don't want people like that around me. My father

cancelled his just rescheduled Glasgow show and stated via the show's SECC
venue, "I am very sorry to have to cancel this show and disappoint so many
of my wonderful Scottish fans, but regrettably there is no alternative

has dominated discussion on Enrique's official message board, with some
American fans attacking UK fans for being so negative about it, and Scottish
fans arguing with England fans, claiming the British get preferential treatment.

Enrique Iglesias is again sounding off on photographers that have tried
to invade his privacy. Enrique says, "When you’re really trying to keep
your life private and you have somebody on top of you, somebody just watching
or somebody trying to take a picture, that kind of bothers me. I work every

of Filth2go.com reports that during shooting of his new video, 'Don’t Turn
Off the Lights', Enrique Iglesias chatted with some gay male fans on the
set asking them what they'd like to see in his new video. Since one of
the man's fantasies was seeing Enrique in head-to-toe leather, Iglesias
embraced the idea and included it as a 'dream sequence' in his new video.
May 14, 2002 - Enrique Iglesias'
management provided fan site Enrique Divine the following update: "The
video for 'Don't Turn Off The Lights' has been moved up to 6 weeks from
now on MTV in the US. The 'Love To See You Cry' video is still in the building
process and should be released soon as well but no international target
street date as of yet. The new Spanish album (which the title is yet to

May 14, 2002 - LFI has photos
of Enrique Iglesias and Sophie Ellis-Bextor getting together in London's
Hyde Park for the official announcement of the Prince's Trust 'Party in
the Park' on July 7th in which they will both appear. No doubt rumors of
the two being an item will emerge in the British press as the pop pair
look ready to kiss in one of the snaps - and are arm-in-arm in the others.

show in Birmingham last night. Ruth White praised, "Enrique's throat was
a little croaky but that still didn't stop him from giving his all to a
packed audience. He had plenty to drink thru the evening and I think it

Iglesias posted some candid shots of Enrique Iglesias as he was leaving
the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on April 18th. The singer was swarmed for

May 8, 20002 - Star magazine
reports a scene in Enrique Iglesias' latest video 'Don't Turn Off The Lights'
features the singer in a gay leather bar. During shooting for the video,
Enrique quizzed the tough biker guys in the club asking if they liked his
music, whether it was played in gay bars, and if they found him attractive.
The biker extras answered yes on all counts, causing Enrique to gush over
his cellphone to a pal, "Can you believe it - I've got a gay following!"
May 7, 2002 - A fan on Enrique
Iglesias' official message board just checked in following Enrique's concert
last night in Glasgow. Enrique was able to overcome his throat infection
and apologized to the audience. Mad4enrique writes, "He looked really sorry
but we all gave him a big 'aawwww' when he appologised and blamed his hectic

spoke with fans outside of Glasgow SECC on Sunday night after news of Enrique
Iglesias' concert had been cancelled due to a throat infection. Shona Summers
fumed, "We are all devastated. To cancel the gig at such short notice is
simply shocking. We came through from Edinburgh on a Bank Holiday weekend
to see one of our favourite stars only to be given a slap in the face.

talked with Popworld magazine about his rumored relationship with Anna
Kournikova, which he explained, "I wish!" Enrique added, "She's crazy,
but in a cool way. I heard rumours that I would not kiss her because she
had a cold sore, but that's not true." He also touched on not being very
popular in high school, and his "mad fans" who take their love for him

May 7, 2002 - The Sun reports
Enrique Iglesias has flown in a voice doctor Ron Anderson after a bad throat
forced him to cancel his show in Glasgow. Enrique went ahead with Monday
night's show after receiving treatment from the specialist. His spokesman
said, "He was gutted to let fans down but his throat was swelling up."
May 7, 2002 - Fans had mixed
reaction after Enrique Iglesias cancelled his concert in Glasgow, Scotland
at the last minute tonight due to illness. Most fans were already at the
Clyde Auditorium prepared to watch the show when it was announced that
Enrique wouldn't be playing due to an illness. Many didn't believe the
announcement and stuck around until it was clear that he wasn't going to
perform. Afterwards, SECC released a statement explaining, "The concert
has been concelled due to illness. All tickets will be valid for Saturday
18th May, if anyone cannot attend on that date, they will be given a full

May 4, 2002 - Ananova reports
Enrique Iglesias was caught lip-synching at his performance in Austria,
causing the crowd of 15,000 to boo the singer. A rep for the resort insisted
that Iglesias was lip-synching because the thin air made it difficult to
breathe. As usual, Enrique arrived to the show an hour late as the rep

checked in with fans on his official website on Thursday. Enrique said,
"I know that it's been awhile but I wanted to thank you guys for helping
me retire 'Escape' at Number One on TRL! You guys are the best fans ever
and I don't know what I'd do without you. Right now I'm in Europe starting
the next leg of my tour. I'm having a great time. I hope that I get to

May 3, 2002 - Enrique Iglesias
visited London's Capital FM recently where he fielded questions e-mailed
in by fans. Amongst the questions where what he planned on doing for his
birthday May 8th. Enrique replied, "I'm going to be singing in Manchester
and I've got another concert the next day, so if I celebrate too hard,
the next day I won't be able to sing! I'm going to be taking it easy and

May 1, 2002 - Will and Lisa
of Enrique Iglesias fan site Enrique Divine spoke to Sergio of Enrique's
management in Miami who revealed that the video for 'Don't Turn Off The
Lights' will premiere on mtv us in the next "week or two". He also revealed
there will be no soundtrack for 'Once Upon a Time in Mexico' or singles
from Enrique released for the movie, which he has a supporting role in.
Sergio was mum on the Ja Rule project, saying details were "top secret."

May 1, 2002 - A fan on Enrique
Iglesias' official site message board shared her experience of meeting
Enrique Iglesias during his stop in Holland on Monday. Apparently he was
on a television show and she was in the audience and got to ask a question.
Lenia writes, "I asked what the most beautiful thing in life is. He answered
friends, family.. and so on. Then it was daphna's turn [another member
of the message board]. She asked: 'Would you marry me???' and Enrique was
so surprised! he answered with a mysterious 'maybe.'" Later, she got to
meet Enrique after her mother told the singer she had left a book of fan
messages for him. She adds, "I waved at him and he stepped out of all the
fans, right towards me. He put his arm around me, kissed me, and said thank
you for the book and you sang very nice! OMG!! I can't believe it. It was
