August 31, 2002 - Carson Daly gave some of his highlights from the MTV Video Music Awards on Thursday during Total Request Live on Friday. "All in all, great show," Carson said. "Jimmy Fallon, excellent job. Bruce Springsteen kicked off the show. Sheryl Crow was great. Eminem was easily the best. I sat right here and I was telling everybody in the studio audience when Jimmy Fallon was making fun of Enrique, he was right in front of me when he put on the big mole and I thought 'Oh, God. Enrique and Anna Kournikova.' He was playing a little grab ass. [Laughter] Actually a lot. Who could blame him? Joe was right here and he did the fat joke about eating one of the Olsen Twins and I looked over, great sport about it. He was laughing. And I think everybody took it in stride. It was a good time."

August 31, 2002 - The New York Daily News reports Enrique Iglesias and Michelle Branch sat together for hours Wednesday night at the Tribeca Rooftop and left together at the end of the party. "They were hugging all night," a witness blabbed. Anna Kournikova turned up at the party with Enrique later that night though, and reps say he and Branch "share the same manager" and they're "just friends."

August 29, 2002 - Frito-Lay announced Wednesday the launch of a television advertisement featuring Enrique Iglesias to support the release of the new Doritos flavor, Doritos Salsa. The 30-second commercial, Iglesias' first, will premiere at a special event on August 28th in New York and will then break nationwide the following evening during the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards. August 28, 2002 - WENN reports Enrique Iglesias has reacted to news that he made it to #92 on the Mirror's list of the 100 most irritating people. "Ninety-two's not bad," he said. "When you become famous, you become an irritation. If everybody loved me, sh**, I'd be in heaven. There's always going to be as many people that love me and hate me."

August 28, 2002 - WENN quotes Enrique Iglesias sounding off about photographers and fashion. "I hate photo shoots. "There is enough land for a tennis court but Enrique has not decided whether he should put one in yet."

August 10, 2002 - The Ru Report says that Enrique Iglesias will be one of those being honored on Sunday at the 'Una Noche de Esperanza (A Night of Hope)' leadership awards dinner and art auction at Hollywood's House of Blues. The seventh annual fundraiser is presented by AltaMed Health Services, with proceeds benefitting AltaMed, which operates the largest HIV/AIDS medical care program for the under-insured public, with special focus on Latinos living in California.

August 8, 2002 - The Las Vegas Review Journal reports Anna Kournikova and pop singer Enrique Iglesias were spotted making out and dancing on the tables at Light, the Bellagio hotel's hot spot, on Sunday. Saturday they were spotted canoodling in rumjungle at Mandalay Bay. Both continue to deny they are a couple.
