October 31, 2003 -  A caller phoned into the Howard Stern show on Thursday and said that there's some controversy around Mischa Barton because Enrique Iglesias used her in his 'Addicted' video and she's shirtless and simulating sex in the video, despite being only 17 years old. Howard said they should throw him in jail with Tommy Chong. That led to Howard talking about how wrong it is that Tommy Chong is in jail for selling bongs on the web.

October 31, 2003 - Mischa Barton was on MTV's Total Request Live with her 'The O.C.' co-stars Benjamin McKenzie and Adam Brody. Qudus asked if she had any idea she'd be taking her clothes off for Enrique Iglesias' 'Addicted' video. "Yes, I did," the 17-year-old actress admitted. "We wanted it to be kint kind of racy and Peter [Berg] is a great director and he's one of my favorites. I knew he'd do something cool with it. His videos are kind of racy." Brody asked Barton what was the 28-year-old Iglesias in jail for during the video. "He wasn't inside of jail," Barton replied. A misunderstanding? "He's locked inside of his pain in pain and misfortune because he can't be with me," Barton said.

October 27, 2003 - Enrique Iglesias' video for his new single 'Addicted', the first from his forthcoming 'Seven' album, has been posted at MTV.com. The mini-movie style video features 'O.C.' actress Mischa Barton. The video has raised some eyebrows because underaged Barton (who turns 18 on January 24, 2004) is depicted gyrating topless in front of 28-year-old Enrique before making out with the singer, as he ironically imagines being incarcerated. Watch the video here.

October 22, 2003 - The Associated Press reports Enrique Iglesias and his producer are being accused of stealing a songwriter's composition for the title track of the 2001 album Escape. October 18, 2003 - Deborah Panini-Hernandez, an associate anthropology professor teaching Latino studies at Tufts University, tells USA Today Latin crossover idols such as Enrique Iglesias and Jennifer Lopez can be unfairly judged. "There tends to be a blurring of distinctions between Latinos who have been here for a long time, who are bicultural and bilingual, and more recent immigrants," she says. "Bicultural Latinos may choose to embrace Latin music, but they’ve also grown up listening to hip-hop and R&B. Jennifer Lopez is someone like that, so to accuse her of being a cultural turncoat is unfair." Leila Cobo, Latin music editor at Billboard remarked, "The mainstream talks about Latin music as if it began and ended with Ricky Martin." Read more.

"He seduced me very slowly and sexily as we watched MTV," sighed Mia, 25. "It would have spoiled the moment if we had moved to the bed, so we made love on the carpet. He undressed me as we kissed on the floor. First he took off my top, then my bra. He was a fantastic kisser." After Enrique stripped himself, she recalled, "I just looked at him and thought, ‘You're flawless'. He has a fantastic face and a great body. And he just knows how to make a woman feel good."
