that despite not commenting on marriage plans, Gisele Bundchen is wearing
a diamon ring and she's been shopping for a wedding dress at Barneys in
Beverly Hills.

26, 2001 - The News of the World reports friends of Leo DiCaprio have been
told he and Gisele will get hitched, "Leo admitted to me before he left
that they were engaged and would wed this summer, probably in Venice, Italy.
He’s travelled to the city over the weekends while in Italy and he loves
the place." Gisele also told a friend, "I’m very much in love with Leo,
of course I’ve accepted his proposal of marriage. I would be an absolute
fool not to!"

poll asking if Gisele switch to a shorter hairstyle, 78.7% said no while
21.3% said yes, with 842 total votes cast.
March 18, 2001 - Gisele Bundchen
made good on her promise to not hit the catwalk again by not showing for
Galliano's show for Dior earlier this week in Paris.
March 13, 2001 - On Gisele's
Victoria's Secret ad it has a voice asking Gisele, "I hear curves are back
in" and she replies "I never heard they were ever out" or something to
that effect.
March 11, 2001 - Here are
two photos of Gisele in what may be her last runway show for the Dolce
& Gabbana Fall-Winter 2001-2002 fashion show in Milan last weekend.
Gisele says she isn't giving up modeling but the runway shows.

from Gisele in Italian daily Corriere della as she complains, "I'm very
tired of going from one stylist to another, running here and there -- your
cellphone's always ringing and someone's always fussing over you with a
blow-dryer."

Corriere della Sera reports Gisele has announced she'll be giving up the
catwalk after this weekend's Milan fashion show. Gisele may next pursue
acting.

reports that Veja had quoted Gisele saying that she in addition to calling
DiCaprio her fiance, she said he got down on one knee last month to propose,
giving her a diamond and platinum engagement ring.
March 1, 2001 - USA Today's
Jeannie Williams reports insiders say rumors that Leo and Gisele are engaged
are incorrect, though she says DiCaprio won't talk about his romantic life.

was at a Carnival parade from a VIP box at the Sambadrome stadium in Rio
