"I've made it a policy never, ever to talk about my private relationships, but I am in a relationship — have been for a long time," he told Britain’s Hello magazine. "I will say that Gisele is a wonderful, wonderful human being. I think that first and foremost in a relationship you have to be friends with the person." He also says his standard for women is his mom, Irmelin: "The best I can hope is to find a woman who has half the qualities that my mother has."

November 15, 2004 - Gisele Bundchen isn't shy about who should win the upcoming best-actor Oscar. Boyfriend Leonardo DiCaprio's portrayal of Howard Hughes in "The Aviator" is the best performance of his career, she said Thursday. "If they don't give him an Oscar, they've got something against him because he really did an amazing job," Bundchen told The Las Vegas Review Journal during a red-carpet appearance at the Hard Rock Hotel. Bundchen's face reddened and she spoke quickly. "I think this is ridiculous," she replied. "People are poor-spirited. Why can't I love anyone? If I do can't I be with him because he's famous? It's not my fault if I met someone with such incredible heart... I'm a Cancer, what I prize the most is family, privacy...
