December 31, 2002 - The Las Vegas Review Journal reports there are rumors that the New Year's Eve VIP crowd at the Hard Rock Hotel, where the Red Hot Chili Peppers are performing, will include Christina Aguilera, Josh Hartnett and supermodel Heidi Klum. Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis has been linked to Klum, and the pair reportedly were checking out diamond rings recently on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.

December 14, 2002 - The Enquirer reports Heidi Klum's separation to Ric Pipino caught pals by surprise. "There's been no hint of any trouble in their relationship at all. The news really came as a shock." Klum's spokeswoman Desiree Gruber told the tabloid, "The split is amicable. They will both continue to live in New York City and will stay good friends. There are currently no plans to divorce."

December 14, 2002 - Globe magazine reports jealousy was behind the split of Heidi Klum and Ric Pipino. An insider revealed, "People would tell Ric that Heidi had come on to Kylie MacLachlan, Chris Noth, Matthew Modine, Hugh Grant, James Caan - even Donald Trump! So called friends would call to tell him Heidi was close with just about every hunk she posed with." Eventually all the talk got to Ric. "She's insecure," another pal revealed. "Heidi needs to know that every man she meets is drooling over her. She encourages this by being a terrible flirt." A pal said, "Toward the end, Ric didn't even want to look at pictures of Heidi in the Victoria's Secret catalog. And he'd had it with men slapping him on the back and telling him what a lucky dog he was."

December 4, 2002 - The New York Daily News reports Heidi Klum and Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis were spotted kissing in a cafe on Sydney's Bondi Beach. Klum later wrapped her long legs around Kiedis' silver Harley-Davidson motorcycle and toured the city. This less than a week after Klum announced the end of her marriage to hair stylist Ric Pipino. "Heidi and Ric hadn't lived together in months," says Heidi's pal. "She met Anthony just a few weeks ago." While Kiedis and his band tour Down Under, Klum is in Venice to shoot a Victoria's Secret campaign.
