November 19, 2003 - The Las Vegas Sun reports on Saturday, despite goading from several of her friends, actress Jaime Pressly refuses to bowl during a party in the bachelor suite at the Hard Rock Hotel (the suite does have a lane). Later in the day she participated in a fashion show at The Joint at the Hard Rock to celebrate the new Love Jones lingerie store at the hotel.

October 12, 2003 - The New Yorker magazine's new movie issue devotes a long profile to Jaime Pressly. She uses the interview to suggest that Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Hudson became famous partly because of their famous mothers. And don't get her started on Brittany Murphy. "I'm very different from her," Pressly said. "I'm boisterous, and I voice my opinion. I have a brain." She quickly backtracks that Murphy is "intelligent." But she adds, "I just mean that I am somebody who doesn't sit back and put up with a bunch of bullsh**."
