February 20, 2001 - The New York Post reports Madonna, Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez will all receive beaded bags from handbag designer Roni Brunn in their Grammy giftbaskets.

February 18, 2001 - Shocking graphic proof that Jennifer Lopez has dumped Puffy for dancer Cris Judd is being displayed on News of the World, who report the pair were kissing all night during a party at her Hollywood home. February 18, 2001 - Jennifer Lopez was on hand at a showing of The Cell in Tokyo on Saturday. J-Lo is in Japan to promote the film which premieres March 24th.

February 18, 2001 - The New York Post reports Puffy lawyers may call Jennifer Lopez to the stand. Comb's lawyer Benjamin Brafman replied, "Will we call her to testify? I'm already getting 300 calls a week from you guys on that question."

February 18, 2001 - Jennifer Lopez is featured in a pair of autographed photo auctions on ebay. The first, item #1409856193, is bid at $9.00 and ends tomorrow. The other is a face shot, item #1409603116, which is unbid at $21.99 and ends February 21st.

February 17, 2001 - Jay Leno was joking that Jennifer Lopez cut off her romance with Puffy after she caught him downloading her songs for free on Napster. Leno also said he heard the romance was over 6 months ago but continued pretend otherwise to help him on his court case and joked, "Hey, it worked for Clinton."

February 17, 2001 - Liz Smith commended Puffy's timing for announcing their split on Valentine's Day saying, "He gained enormous public sympathy. Smart guy!" The New York Post columnist also vows to never refer to Lopez as J-Lo calling the moniker "as annoying an appellation as Prince's reign as The Artist."

February 17, 2001 - Foxnews.com's Roger Friedman is calling J.Lo a "relative failure" citing its freefall down the SoundScan/Billboard charts which currently has it at #4 having sold only 1/2 million albums. February 17, 2001 - The Toronto Sun reports Jennifer Lopez's head of security was arrested at Toronto's Pearson airport on Sunday by customs officials for having a small quantity of marijuana and hashish in his socks. Lopez and her entourage were detained for an hour while her private jet was searched. Because of the small quantity of drugs found, nobody was charged.

February 17, 2001 - The Sun is getting comments from a source close to Jennifer Lopez on news of her $800,000/hr. personal appearance fee. The source revealed, "Jennifer knows that she is a valuable asset but couldn't just do any old personal appearance. She would be flooded with offers. This way she believes she can sort out the men from the boys."

February 17, 2001 - Jay Leno joked about the Puffy - Jennifer Lopez breakup saying that they split on friendly terms, and it wasn't like he held a gun to her head. Jay also cracked that the next time J-Lo hears gunfire she'll say, "Ohh... that was our song!"

February 16, 2001 - Mitchell Fink boasted in his column today about rival Richard Johnson's admittion that Puffy and J.Lo have indeed broken up. Fink says Lopez has been with Judd for months and that "the supermarket tabloids are fighting over the rights to a photo that supposedly shows Lopez and Judd kissing - in December."

February 16, 2001 - Anthony "Wolf" Jones, bodyguard who was in the Navigator was on the stands telling what Jennifer said about what happened inside Club New York just after the shooting, "Shyne busted off. Shyne busted off in the air." Read more.

February 16, 2001 - Jennifer Lopez's appearance at MuchMusic earlier this week included some rather interesting restrictions for fans. A source told MSNBC, "We were told that we weren’t allowed to chew gum. They told us, especially the people sitting in the front row, that we were to look enthusiastic and happy at all times because if we weren’t, our seat would be given to someone who was enthusiastic and happy at all times." February 15, 2001 - UK celebrity magazine Star conducted a poll on which celebrity was the idea Valentine snog and Britney Spears winded up on top of the list for females, beating out Jennifer Lopez who was 2nd. Read more.

February 15, 2001 - Puffy's publicist, Nathalie Moar, issued a statement on Valentine's day confirming that he and Jennifer are indeed broken up. "Mr. Combs confirmed that he and his love, Jennifer Lopez, have in fact broken up. Mr. Combs is confirming this today as he wanted to put all the rumors surrounding their relationship to rest." February 15, 2001 - The New York Post reported comments from a pal of Puffy who talked about the split between he and Jennifer saying, "He is devastated and broken-hearted. He never loved anyone as much as he loved her." The pal added that Combs is apparently blaming Jen's manager, Benny Media, "Deep down she loves Puffy. This breakup is what everyone in her camp wanted. They thought it was best for her career."

February 15, 2001 - Salon.com reports Jennifer Lopez commenting on Puffy's plan to win back her heart with an appearance from Luther Vandross, "It's the most amazing thing that ever happened to me," she said. "Luther said, 'I have a present for you.' He put in his DAT recording, and sat down and took my mic and sang 'House Is Not a Home.'" 

February 14, 2001 - Jay Leno joked about J.Lo's booty in his monologue Tuesday saying, "Actually, Hannibal is so successful, the plans are under way now for a third sequel, another one. And in the third one that's coming, Hannibal meets Jennifer Lopez and cooks up a delicious rump roast."

February 14, 2001 - The New York post reports Jennifer Lopez and Britney Spears will be amongst the A-List celebrities at Allure's 10th anniversary held Thursday at the Four Seasons restaurant in New York for Fashion Week.

February 14, 2001 - Richard Johnson was on eyada.com today saying he's about to throw in the towel on the Puffy J-Lo insistance that they're still together. The New York Post Page Six scribe had initially bought the story of Benny Medina trying to break the two up.

February 13, 2001 - Jennifer Lopez didn't make Puffy's Sean John fashion show Saturday, but Combs said, "This show is dedicated to Jennifer. Thanks for showing me life."

February 13, 2001 - A mutual friend of Joanna Molloy and Puffy Combs told Joanna that Puffy has admitted that he and Jennifer have indeed broken up. Combs said he tried to get back together with Jennifer but it didn't work, Molloy reported today on eYada.com.

February 10, 2001 - Mitchell Fink is firing back at his Page Six adversary Richard Johnson saying "Pay no attention to what you may be reading elsewhere. Jennifer Lopez and dancer Cris Judd are indeed a couple." Fink added, "He's dancing with her on the show and the two are together every night. Sources inside NBC who have witnessed them at rehearsals have come to only one conclusion: that they're a happening thing."

February 10, 2001 - Fox News reports Puffy will be throwing a party for his Sean John clothing line for Fashion Week on Saturday night, about the same time Jennifer is doing SNL. Convenient excuse?

February 10, 2001 - USA Today's Jeannie Williams reports Puffy had Luther Vandross serenade her as an early Valentine surprise, since she'll be in Australia next week on the 14th. She also reports those behind the Sean John party Saturday are "moving heaven and earth to get Lopez over to the park for at least a half-hour". Unfortunately, there's no way Lopez can make it.

February 10, 2001 - Jennifer Lopez is responding to News of the World's Sue Black to allegations of Diva behavior. Lopez complains, "Any woman who isn’t afraid to speak her mind and go after what she wants gets accused of being a bitch. It’s double standards. If a man is tough and determined it’s considered cool and macho. But women have to be careful not to come on too strong." And in regards to children? "And before you ask, my biological clock is ticking like crazy! I’d love to get married and have kids, in that order." Read more.

February 9, 2001 - Jay Leno joked Jennifer Lopez must be pretty happy with the #1 album, #1 movie, and #1 boyfriend on the FBI Most Wanted list.

February 9, 2001 - The New York Post's Page Six is disputing Mitchell Fink's earlier report that Jennifer Lopez and Puffy are no longer a pair. Apparently Chris Judd is 'friends' with Lopez's manager Benny Medina and the three were together for New Years without Puffy, but no romance. The two have been separated because a source told the Post, "She is busy promoting an album and a movie and he is trying to stay out of jail." This week though as Jennifer hosts SNL, her and Puffy have been with each other every night. Another source said Medina's jealous of Puffy's control of his client as he and her Epic label have been trying to keep the two apart.

February 9, 2001 - MSNBC's Jeannette Walls quotes Jennifer Lopez's spokeswoman denying earlier reports she brought a 60 person entourage with her for her Top of the Pops appearance in the UK. The spokeswoman insists "Nonsense, her entourage is only nine."

February 9, 2001 - MTVasia.com reports Jennifer Lopez has turned down a marriage proposal from Puffy. She told Combs she's not ready for another marriage following her short lived one with Ojani Noa. This may also put any baby plans on hold as Lopez has said in the past, "I wouldn't want to have a baby out of wedlock. I'd be married first. My parents would kill me no matter how old I was."

February 9, 2001 - CDNow reports Jennifer Lopez attempted to leave the scene following their police chase after the infamous Club New York shooting. Police Sergeant Jack Konstantinidis told the jury, "I saw she was walking down the sidewalk. She said 'I'm going home, I'm going home. I said, 'No, you're not.'" Read more.

February 6, 2001 - MSNBC's Jeannette Walls reports Puffy Combs is welching on debts in the magazine Notorious he owns which ceased publication a year ago. A writer complained, "He’s indulging in all these grotesque expenditures, like releasing a hundred doves as a display of his love for J Lo. Meanwhile, people who worked for him and who are owed money by him are having trouble making the rent." Comb's spokeman says they are determining which debts are 'real' and everyone will eventually be made whole.

February 6, 2001 - The Star reports Jennifer Lopez is terrified to dump puffy. A pal reveals, "Jennifer has pleaded with Puffy to let her go but he told her, 'No can do, baby. Stay right here on my arm, make nice for the cameras and keep telling the world you're standing by your man.' Jennifer is flat out terrified to come out and say that she and Puffy are no longer a couple. He told her that dumping him would trash his image at his trial and she'd better think really hard before letting him down like that." Also worrying Lopez are Puffy's bodyguards who reportedly would "hurt anyone around him not showing 100-per-cent support during the trial."

February 4, 2001 - Entertainment Weekly is reporting that when asked to identify Jennifer Lopez, prosecution witness Leonard Howard said, "She was Mr. Combs' girlfriend." Combined with her no-show January 29th, this appears to be overwealming evidence their romance is history.

February 4, 2001 - Jennifer Lopez will be on the Late Show with David Letterman on Tuesday, with musical guests matchbox twenty.

February 4, 2001 - Jennifer Lopez was featured in MTV's Snowed In special Saturday and took part in the Celebrity Dream Date contest. The guy that won couldn't dance worth a damn and she didn't seem too impressed with him.

February 3, 2001 - Disturbing information about what a tightwad Puff Daddy is from Salon.com's Amy Reiter. Apparently Puffy has a reputation for not paying his bills, and the fateful gun shooting night he had gotten into an argument with he, Jennifer, and Shyne's waitress saying she inflated the bill. February 2, 2001 - With her album J.Lo at #1 and her movie The Wedding Planner also at #1, Jennifer Lopez has become the first person, male or female to have a movie and album in the top spot simultaneously. Barbara Streisand almost did it but was a week apart with the movie/soundtrack to The Way We Were.

February 2, 2001 - Jennifer Lopez is probably regretting earlier actions during filming of Money Train, where she complained after getting only a .38 mm revolver when Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson, were packing heftier 9 mm guns. She told People at the time, “I’m not going to carry some sissy revolver." Lopez got the bigger gun but people now are talking about it because of the current gun toting charges on Puffy.

February 1, 2001 - Liz Smith of the New York Post reports Jennifer Lopez and Jimmy Smits co-owned LA club, Conga Room, is doing great. Among the celebs attending the club have been Julia Roberts, Catherine Zeta-Jones, John Cusack, and Billy Crystal.

February 1, 2001 - Jeannette Walls of MSNBC received further details of the demanding Jennifer Lopez during her appearance on Rick Dees' radio show. Apparently the scent that led her entrace was actually Tuberose, and the staff at the station was told not to even look at Jennifer. Said an insider, "Hundreds of celebrities - major stars - have come to Rick Dees’ show, and none has ever made such ridiculous, over-the-top demands. Usually, they just ask for water or sometimes tea."
