March 29, 2001 - Jennifer Lopez graces the cover of this week's Star where the tabloid reveals she's begging Puffy to take her back following his acquittal. Puffy's mother Janice Combs is said to be furious with Lopez and has told Puffy, "If you get back with that girl, I'll never talk to you again! She's nothing but a snake in the grass and she's no friend of you."

March 28, 2001 - The New York Daily News reports Puffy was in Hollywood for reasons other than hunting down Jennifer Lopez, "I came out to get away from New York. I came to sell the house I have here and to do some business. That's the only reason." Later though, Puffy did approach Jennifer and Cris Judd at the Vanity Fair party, where Judd apparently was uncomfortable to be greeted by Combs. Puffy explained afterwards, "I just wanted to be a gentleman and clear the air."

March 28, 2001 - Jay Leno again brought up Jennifer Lopez in his monologue Monday saying, "Did you see that see-through thing? I don't think she wanted to shock anyone. I think she wanted to prove she wasn't having any concealed weapons. You know? Well, she finally figured out a way to get people to stop looking at her butt. in fact, that was the toughest job at the oscars. Seat filler for Jennifer Lopez -- took three people."

March 28, 2001 - An onlooker tells the Sun his account of the Puffy, J-Lo, Chris Judd meeting at the Vanity Fair party explaining, "When Puff arrived in the building the whole place went silent. I think everyone thought he was going to go up and punch Cris. I think even Cris thought that. Puff went up with this menacing look on his face and prowled around Jen and Cris for a while and then just smiled and said hello. The whole place instantly relaxed, thank goodness. Maybe Puff's not as tough as people think."

March 27, 2001 - Politically Incorrect's Bill Maher joked about Jennifer Lopez on the special Sunday post-Oscar show saying, "Biggest upset? Probably Marcia Gay Harden won for Pollock for Best Supporting Actress. And Jennifer Lopez won for Least Supported Actress. I didn't know if you saw that -- she had quite a dress on there. You could see everything, her breasts, her nipples, you could see everything, her Smith & Wesson. You could see everything." Maher later added, "But not a good night for African-Americans. Again, not only no major nominations but not one decent shot of Jennifer Lopez's ass."

She got into a heated argument with someone about their valet parking... Former Lopez boyfriend Sean Combs walked around the party looking uncomfortable and irritated."

March 27, 2001 - During an online chat with E! Online's Ted Casablanca, he was asked "Now that Puffy has been found innocent, will J.Lo be making a return visit?" Ted Replied, "You must be joking. This girl is on the rise something fierce. She doesn't need any bullet-ridden baggage at the moment."

March 27, 2001 - MTVasia.com reports Craig David insists on keeping Jennifer Lopez waiting for a possible duet explaining, "All the artists like Jennifer saying they would love to do stuff with me is so flattering. But I want to earn the right to do something with her. When the time is right Craig David will be duetting big time!"

March 26, 2001 - Entertainment Weekly reports Warner Bros. is developing a remake of Viva Las Vegas with Ricky Martin and Jennifer Lopez in mind to play the roles of Elvis and Ann Margret respectively.

The paper also reports Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds asked her whether her and Puffy still converse during the Tribute to Style event Sunday and she said "we're mute, we don't talk."

March 24, 2001 - Peoplenews.com reports Jennifer Lopez was seen cuddling and holding hands with boyfriend Cris Judd on the set of Enough, which seems to have crushed hopes she and Puffy would reconcile. A source revealed, "They seemed really happy and couldn’t wait to sit together and chat. It certainly doesn’t look like anyone is likely to come between them any time soon - she’s even taking him to work with her!"

March 23, 2001 - Jennifer Lopez danced to the music of former lover Marc Anthony at Jaguar's Tribute to Style gala on Sunday.

March 22, 2001 - The New York Post reports Christian Dior denies Jennifer Lopez was in their East 57th Street store being a diva, or even being at the store as the paper had earlier reported. Courtney Moss, a rep for the store revealed Jennifer "has always been a pleasure to deal with and we very much appreciate the relationship we have developed with her." Damage control?

March 21, 2001 - The New York Daily News reports immediately following his not guilty verdict, Puffy is determined to win back Jennifer Lopez. An inside source revealed, "He still cares deeply about her. They spoke through his trial. She was one of the first people to call him after the verdict. He sent her flowers and a small gift to thank her for her support." And despite disliking Puffy's temper and displays of public affection, the source added, "I think she probably wants Puffy back."

March 21, 2001 - Jay Leno took a few more shots at J-Lo in his monologue Monday saying, "As you know, Jennifer Lopez was not called as a witness [in the Puffy trial]. Duh. That's every guy's nightmare, isn't it -- to have your ex-girlfriend testify against you? 'And then for my birthday, he just gave me some crappy flowers!'" Jay later added a comment about those effected by the stock market selloff saying, "A lot of celebrities were affected. He's devastated."
