Restivo of ABCNews.com looks at the growing trend of women getting butt
implants to look more like Jennifer Lopez and look good in thongs or hip
hugging pants. The $10,000 procedure is not without risk though. Dr. Ed
Luce commented, "The principle risks are that the implants don't do well

27, 2002 - Star reports Jennifer Lopez was burning mad after walking in
on Cris Judd and friends doing catcalls and whistling to the television
while watching a Shakira video. J.Lo kicked out Judd's pals and left Cris
in the doghouse for the night.
January 26, 2002 - The Mirror
reports Jennifer Lopez has been banned from ever dining at The Ivy restaurant
in London after a series of phone calls changing her dining time and the
number in her party for herself and entourage at the restaurant. When three
of her bodyguards burst into the restaurant demanding they be allowed to
"security sweep" the entire place, the manager told them to leave and when
J.Lo's assistant later cancelled altogether, the manager told the assitant

Pearlman of the Chicago Sun Times reports Jim Caviezel revealed a story
Jennifer Lopez had told him regarding one of his earlier films during the
time the two were filming 'Angel Eyes'. Jim said, "Jennifer told me years
ago she was really into watching me in 'The Thin Red Line' to the point
where Puffy, whom she was dating at the time, said, 'Let's go. Right now.'
She never got to see the end of the movie."
January 26, 2002 - US Weekly
has more news on the former couple Jennifer Lopez and Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs
ignoring each other at the ICM Golden Globes after-party. A source revealed,
"She was holding court with a full table that included Mel Gibson, her
husband, and Jennifer Connelly, while [Combs] kept walking around, purposely
ignoring her and trying to act really social with people like Kate Beckinsdale.
Their ignoring each other was what was most noticeable."
January 24, 2002 - Jim Caviezel,
who starred with Jennifer Lopez in "Angel Eyes," tells the New York Post
why he insisted on having Jennifer Lopez keep her clothes on during their
love scenes in that film admitting, "I just said, 'Look, put a top on her.
I'm gonna keep my shorts on, she's gonna keep hers on. Get the camera and
shoot around it.' And that's out of devotion, love and respect to my wife."
January 23, 2002 - The New
York Daily News reports Jennifer Lopez and her husband Cris Judd kept their
distance with Sean 'P.Diddy' Combs at the Golden Globe Awards after-party
at Ago, put on by ICM.
January 22, 2002 - The New
York Daily News reports Jennifer Lopez, Alicia Keys, Destiny's Child, Wyclef
Jean, Eve, Nelly, Shaggy, Fred Durst, Erykah Badu, Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs,
and Madonna are amongst those who have been invited to perform at the Artists
Against AIDS Worldwide concert in Johannesburg. No date has been set for
the show, but organizers plan on broadcasting it around the world when

January 22, 2002 - Well anyone
that watched the Globes last night must have been cringing at the debacle
that was Jennifer Lopez's breakout hit, 'Waiting For Tonight' transformed
into some cheesy promotional gimmic to open the Golden Globe Awards Sunday.
Rosie O'Donnell agreed doing a sarcastic impression of the 'Waiting For
The Globes' song where she thought while watching it that it would end
up being part of a joke, but it wasn't.

January 21, 2002 - In an
abstracts.net poll asking 'Do you think Jennifer Lopez's resurgence is
because of her music or Ja Rule's influence?', 33.8% said all J.Lo, 32%
said Ja Rule's rescue, and 34.3% said team effort, with 1182 total votes
cast.
January 21, 2002 - Dido won
two awards at the NRJ Awards in Cannes on Saturday, with Jennifer Lopez
getting best female artist. Other winners included Britney Spears, who
also performed 'Slave 4 U' at the show, while Michael Jackson was presented
best male star by Spears. Geri Halliwell got best song of the year for

Lopez and Ja Rule recently recorded a remix of "Ain't It Funny" to follow
their hit remix of "I'm Real." They also made a video for it that will
debut on MTV's "TRL" on Tuesday, January 22, and on on BET on January 23
at 6PM.

Jennifer Lopez has admitted to wanting to star in a 'Bodyguard' type role
that fellow diva Whitney Houston played. J.Lo said, "I'd like to do a film
with the impact of Whitney Houston in The Bodyguard or Bette Midler in
The Rose. Making Selena was an incredible experience for me, but I'd love
to do a film which has me singing the music. It has to be the right role,
maybe something that would surprise people and wouldn't look like I'm just
playing myself in the that role. I just want to keep growing as an artist."
January 19, 2002 - IRN reports
eccentric American UFO scientist Dr Henrick Shenkle is claiming that the
famous behind of pop singer Jennifer Lopez was the creation of aliens.
Shenkle says aliens abducted the singer and inserted implants into her
shapely bum, while erasing the procedure from Jennifer's memory. The 'Doctor'
has been studying the roundness of the singer's backside for two and a
half years.

reports a spokeswoman for Top Of The Pops revealed that Britney Spears
was no diva during her appearance on the show, unlike Jennifer Lopez. The
spokeswoman said, "Britney has made no outlandish demands and she only

in Entertainment and topping the list was Jennifer Lopez.

reports Jennifer Lopez has garnered a cameo role on the upcoming 'Men In
Black' sequel. The diva will reportedly be in a 'very funny' scene at the
end of the film. As earlier reported, Michael Jackson is also getting a
cameo in the film.
January 17, 2002 - The Sun
has photos of Jennifer Lopez exposing her underwear upon exiting a SUV.
Hubby Cris was unable to shield the photographers from the bonus un-coverage.
An onlooker remarked, "She looked pretty unhappy but there were quite a

was on the Howard Stern show Wednesday morning and the rap mogul talked
about Death Row, some of his rap rivals, the J.Lo sex tape, and what's
up with his own sex life. Suge said he's seen the Jennifer Lopez sex tape
and that it makes the Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee tape look like Rated
PG material.

of Stuff magazine have dubbed Britney Spears as the "Sexiest Woman in the
World," where the pop princess beat out Latin diva Jennifer Lopez, who
nabbed the #2 spot. The mag said of Britney, "Spears is so hot she may
be a bigger threat to the environment than global warming." Shakira also
appeared in the top 10 grabbed the #9 spot. Further back was Mandy Moore
at #67.
January 15, 2002 - Britain's
Star reports Mariah Carey has refused to do a duet with rival Jennifer
Lopez. Mariah said of the idea, "I'd rather share the stage with a pig
– a duet with Jennifer and me ain't gonna happen."

Lopez talked with US Weekly about her key to keeping trim where the Latin
diva revealed, "I'll have egg whites in the morning, carbs for lunch, and
a salad for dinner." When she indulges, Lopez likes "Cookies with coffee,

Jennifer Lopez's hubby Cris Judd has been hired by J.Lo to direct her new
music video for It's Alright and the couple is reportedly writing a comedy
film for Jennifer to star in and Cris to direct.

engine Overture.com. For the month, the term 'Jennifer Lopez' got a huge
370,564 searches, a little over three times the number for her rival Mariah

January 11, 2002 - Kid Rock
was on with Craig Kilborn Thursday where he talked about the new album,
Pamela Anderson, his recording studio, and his trip with Jennifer Lopez
to entertain the troops. Kid Rock said J.Lo was nice to him but "Everybody's
nice to me." Craig asked why and Kid Rock didn't know causing Kilborn to
wonder, "She didn't feel protected or she wanted to be safe? She's seeing
the troops. She's safe enough, right?" Kid Rock agreed saying, "I was going
to say sh -- where can you be safer than on a United States Air Force base?"

reports Jennifer Lopez's husband Cris Judd had a Chanel jacket stolen from
him while he watched J.Lo during her Top Of The Pops set last month. Seems
everyone was keeping an eye on Jennifer as Lopez's huge security staff
of 22 couldn't catch the thief either.

to the New York Post, a gray '96 Audi with 'JLO' personalized plates has
been sighted near the home of Sean 'P.Diddy' Combs... Now if you thought
for a minute Jennifer Lopez would drive a '96 Audi, think again, as the
car is registered to John L. Oliver, 64, of East Hampton.
January 4, 2002 - Billboard
reports Jennifer Lopez's Epic label is prepping a live DVD featuring a
full version of the "Jennifer Lopez: Live in Puerto Rico" concert last
September which will also include a 20-minute behind-the-scenes documentary.
So far the only details on the remix are that they'll include the two tracks

earlier this week, Star has photos of Jennifer Lopez walking arm-in-arm
with her 'Gigli' co-star Ben Affleck and talk of their on-set flirting
has sources turning to the tabloid. Said one source, "Cris [Judd] already
worries that J.Lo could leave him for a bigger name. The last thing he
would want to see is her getting cozy with a big star. Here she is hanging
around on movie sets with huge stars like Ben Affleck, and Cris knows that
he is only a dancer. He can't help but feel insecure."

January 2, 2002 - MTV aired
their USO special yesterday and while Ja Rule and Kid Rock each made appearances
and performances at night clubs at Rammstein, Jennifer Lopez only showed
up as a judge for a talent competition. As well, just as gossip reports
revealed, Lopez interacted little with members of the service during her
stay. They did show more footage of Jennifer Lopez performing though to
make up for the lost time.
January 1, 2002 - Star reports
Ben Affleck is setting his sights on Jennifer Lopez as the married actress
is filming 'Gigli' with Affleck in West Hollywood. The Star has photos
of the pair walking arm in arm and whispering into each other's ears.
