May 30, 2002 - Star magazine reports Ron Mucci, who worked for Jennifer Lopez's Madre's restaurant in Pasadena is going after the star for $376.91 in unpaid wages after he was canned for being too ugly. Before the restaurant opened on April 12, J.Lo gave the place an inspection and rolled her eyes at the staff. "She told the managers we were all ugly," Mucci revealed. "If she wanted gorgeous models and out-of-work actors, she should've opened in Beverly Hills." Lopez was so cheap, according to Mucci, that she forced staffers to buy their own uniforms. "Some of her workers are downright poor, so forcing them to shell out $100 before they'd worked a day was downright rotten."

May 30, 2002 - Star magazine reports Jennifer Lopez and Cris Judd have been celebrating their marriage with three-month anniversary parties to toast their togetherness. The pair apparently couldn't wait to mark the tradionally yearly occasion.

May 30, 2002 - The Mirror reports Jennifer Lopez claims her being labeled a diva is because she works harder than anyone else. Lopez said, "It's a shame to call somebody a diva simply because they work harder than everybody else. But I'm not complaining. I can handle it."

May 28, 2002 - Dan DeLuca of Knight Ridder Newspapers spoke with Jennifer Lopez who was promoting her film 'Enough' and insisted that she does still get along with her ex-boyfriend Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs. Lopez said, "We two-way each other all the time. Just watching him run his businesses, I learned so much. It was great being with him for that reason. He's such a hard worker." May 28, 2002 - Jennifer Lopez's new movie, "Enough", debuted at number five at the box office with a weekend gross of $17.5 million. It played in 2623 theaters. Topping the weekend numbers was 'Star Wars: Episode II -- Attack of the Clones', raking in $61.2 million for the four days beginning May 24. Read more.

May 26, 2002 - Amy Amatangelo of the Boston Herald reviewed Jennifer Lopez's new film 'Enough', giving it two out of four stars. Amy said Lopez gave a "perfectly perfunctory performance" but on the downside added, "As bizarre as this may sound, Lopez is somewhat reminiscent of a latter-day Barbra Streisand. She seems more concerned with her appearance than her performance. Even when Slim is being beaten up by her husband, she has time to reapply her lip gloss. Often sporting her trademark sunglasses and hip casual attire, Lopez doesn't look much different here than she did in 'The Wedding Planner' or the 'I'm Real' video." Read more.

May 26, 2002 - Ron Dicker of The Hartford Courant chatted with Jennifer Lopez's 'Enough' co-star Noah Wyle, who admitted to falling into the J.Lo is a diva hype. "I had let the rumors seep in," he said. "I went to J-Lo's house with Michael [Apted]. I thought she'd come sweeping down the balcony and bite my head off." May 26, 2002 - Ingrid Randoja of Now Toronto was on hand at Jennifer Lopez's press conference recently at the Essex House Hotel in New York. J.lo talked about her final fight scene with 'Enough' co-star Billy Campbell saying, "I definitely knew everything I was doing in that scene. I learned it completely. And it's convincing. May 25, 2002 - Jack Mathews of the New York Daily News has given a very critical review of Jennifer Lopez's new film 'Enough', giving it only a 1 star rating. Mathews said, "Lopez is fit and agile in her fight sequence, but on the performance front, she's badly upstaged by newcomer Tessa Allen, the 5-year-old who plays her daughter, Gracie. In the middle section, when Slim and Gracie are on the run, the child's confusion and terror give the film its only moments of emotional truth." Read more.

May 25, 2002 - IMDB.com reports Jennifer Lopez's grandmother chewed out her 'Enough' co-star Billy Campbell for beating J.Lo's character in the film. Lopez explained, "She saw it, she was at the premiere, and she saw the movie and I was like, you know, 'Buela, how did you like it?' And she was like, 'I liked the end, I liked the end.' And I said, 'What about the beginning, ' and she was like 'Hm.' So later on, I see Billy Campbell, who plays the husband, and he said, 'Your grandmother beat on me.' She said, 'I no like you.' Because she doesn't speak any English. 'I no like' is very, very bad."

May 25, 2002 - Following reports that Jennifer Lopez had expressed interest in working with ex-boyfriend Sean 'P. Lopez explained the plot of the movie saying, "This has been a tough movie, because we're dealing with physical abuse -- it's hard. With physical abuse comes emotional abuse. So, there's a lot going on in your head. I had to explore what that's like and how it destroys you and takes time to recover ... I didn't skimp on those issues." May 24, 2002 - Well the test audiences at 'Enough' had a good chuckle out of Billy Campbell's character giving Jennifer Lopez the brush off in a shower scene, but Campbell himself had a different reaction. Billy told TV Guide, "I didn't chuckle, I was disappointed with the shower scene. I thought, 'Wow, I'm gonna do a movie with J.Lo and be her husband.' And then I'm turning her away from the shower?!" A pal revealed, "It's been eating away at Cris for weeks. I think he hates that J.Lo has been spending so much time with Ojani and he's burning up." The pal added, "It looks like J.Lo is quickly losing interest in Cris and in return he's getting angrier and more resentful of her every day."

Jennifer also talked about shooting the video, her new film 'Enough' which opens Friday. J.Lo revealed that she got fired at a jeans store in her younger days because she danced too much. Gonzalez said, "'Enough' is about as authentic a portrait of such terror as 'Beautiful Mind' was an accurate representation of insanity. May 21, 2002 - Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs told the New York Daily News that he wants to "speak to" producer Irv Gotti, who co-wrote the Jennifer Lopez hit 'Ain't It Funny'. Gotti spoke to Elle magazine and told them that the song, which features Lopez calling an ex-boyfriend a "fool" and "kinda lame" was inspired by Puffy. May 16, 2002 - Jeffrey Wells of Reel.com snuck in to see the Jennifer Lopez starring 'Enough' at its preview showing last Saturday, where he speculated that Columbia Pictures may have allowed a sneak peak of the film thinking the film can sell itself. Wells wasn't convinced but said, "'Enough' may be good enough to bring in some decent coin. As revenge thrillers go, it's clearly a second-rate, difficult-to-swallow chain-puller, but the combined efforts of screenwriter Nicholas Kazan and director Michael Apted lend a faint whiff of class. May 12, 2002 - Jean Godden of the Seattle Times reports Jennifer Lopez has been house hunting on Seattle's Queen Anne Hill. An unnamed local realtor confirmed the report saying the diva had been looking at a large house, listed at $5 million, on top of the hill, and has an interest in another home on Queen Anne's South Slope. Of course the Miami Herald reported just yesterday that J.Lo had plunked down $9.5 million on a home in Miami Beach. Read more.

May 9, 2002 - The Enquirer reports Jennifer Lopez enraged hubby Cris Judd at the opening of her new restaurant Madre's in Pasadena. Lopez said, "This is my first solo project without any help from anybody around me!" This comment threw Cris in a rage, since he's a gourmet cook he had helped plan the menu and the design. After confronting his diva wife, J.Lo snapped, "You don't like it... LEAVE!" Judd then stormed out of the party, checked into a hotel in Beverly Hills, and stayed there for two days.

May 4, 2002 - Globe magazine reports Jennifer Lopez's husband Cris Judd was upset when Lopez hired her ex-husband Ojani Noa to run her new restaurant Madre's. A pal revealed, "Cris wasn't too keen on the idea at first, but since Jennifer wears the pants in the family, he didn't have much say in the matter. What J.Lo wants, J.Lo gets."

May 2, 2002 - The Guardian reports Jennifer Lopez likes to walk around her home in the nude, in a habit that began in her childhood. "I grew up like that with my mom and sisters. I'll be sitting at breakfast and everyone around will be dressed except me," she revealed.

May 1, 2002 - Jennifer Lopez tells interviewer Sean Daly that she may stop using her J.Lo nickname soon. While saying it was "fun", Lopez added, "But I think people will get back to [calling me] Jennifer eventually. Once the next album comes out, it's Jennifer Lopez again."
