November 30, 2002 - Norm Clarke of the Las Vegas Review Journal reports an extensive shopping spree by Jennifer Lopez and fiance Ben Affleck created a Thanksgiving Day mob scene at the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. November 27, 2002 - The New York Daily News reports dance students at the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club in the Bronx got a surprise alumni visit yesterday when Jennifer Lopez dropped by. Matt Lauer arranged the reunion for the 'Today' show. J.Lo loved talking with the teens and watching them perform, but frowned at the long-ago headshot of her that the club had up. November 27, 2002 - Another example of Conan O'Brien and Jay Leno, both of NBC, not clearing their monologue jokes with each other. Jay joked during his Tonight Show monologue on Tuesday, "After three months, our good friends, Lisa Marie Presley and Nicolas Cage, filed for divorce. November 27, 2002 - Sharon Osbourne tells Access Hollywood that for her new talk show, "I want to ask Puff Daddy what it was like to fu** J. Lo." It's now probably a safe bet that neither Sean 'P. November 26, 2002 - Jennifer Lopez tells the Scottish Daily Record that all the talk of her engagement to Ben Affleck may be wearing thin on her fans. "I've said so much already and I feel like everybody is bored with it," she said. Lopez did talk about reports of a Valentine's Day wedding though. "That won't happen. I can confirm that," she revealed. The couple have to figure out which church they'll make the walk. "I would like to get married in a church, in a Catholic church," she said. November 20, 2002 - The Philadelphia Daily News is questioning the report that Jennifer Lopez's engagement ring from Ben Affleck, a reported 6.1 carat, emerald cut, pink diamond ring that, really cost Affleck $3 million. November 14, 2002 - The Sun reports Ben Affleck has hired armed former FBI and CIA agents to protect fiancée Jennifer Lopez, worried she may be a target for a Victoria Beckham style kidnap plot. "With the international situation just now and after the bombing in Bali, Ben knows anything could happen," a business pal of Ben said. "If Jennifer was kidnapped, she could be held for hundreds of millions of pounds. She is an international superstar — everyone knows they are worth a fortune. Earlier tonight on 'Primetime Live,' Jennifer 'Lord of the Engagement Rings' Lopez announced her engagement to our good friend Ben Affleck. That's kind of funny, getting engaged again. November 13, 2002 - The New York Post reports Jennifer Lopez, who's been criticized for ignoring her hometown roots, will return to her old Bronx neighborhood for a concert airing on the Today Show on December 6th. November 12, 2002 - Jay Leno had jokes for Jennifer Lopez in his Tonight Show monologue on Monday. Jay cracked, "And folks, it's hard to believe it's that time of year already. Time to start shopping for a Jennifer Lopez wedding present. Is it that time of year already? Oh, my gosh. As I'm sure you heard, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are engaged. November 12, 2002 - Entertainment Tonight caught up with Diane Sawyer before her interview on a special edition of ABC's Primetime Thursday, airing Wednesday. Asked when Lopez and Ben Affleck they plan on getting married, Sawyer said, "Well, she said only that it will be quite awhile and they want to take their time. She wants to do it right, and she has a whole idea of how it should be and that means that they are going to take some time. November 9, 2002 - Associated Press reports Glow Industries, a Los Angeles-based company, which sells scented products, including a perfume called Glow, and whom filed suit in August against Jennifer Lopez's over her perfume Glow by J.Lo, went to court Thursday seeking a preliminary injunction stopping Lopez and fragrance partner Coty Inc. from using the name until the matter is resolved. November 8, 2002 - The exes in Jennifer Lopez's past still hold a place in her heart. The 32-year-old tells Harper's Bazaar in an exclusive interview that her first husband, Ojani Noa is "a sweetheart." Noa even manages her Pasadena restaurant, Madre's. Of Cris Judd, who she wed September 2001, she says, "I think Cris and I will be friends forever," adding, "he's a gem." Lopez had trouble hiding her irritation when asked about her ex-beau Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs. Describing her relationship with Combs as "old news". On new boyfriend Ben Affleck, she only said, "I feel good about it." Lopez revealed the kind of man she is attracted to is "somebody who challenges me but at the same time has a soft heart. That's supersexy to me."

"She refuses to give the romance her blessing," revealed a source. "And she shudders to think he might actually make Jennifer Lopez his wife." The source says Chris feels J.Lo will never live up to Ben's former girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow because she has "No class." November 7, 2002 - Globe magazine reports Jennifer Lopez spotted a white pup limping along the road on 3 legs after she visited her family in Brooklyn. Lopez stopped her car, jumped out, and picked up the dog and then took it to a local animal shelter. The staff fixed him up and put him up for adoption. No word if he's been claimed.

November 7, 2002 - WENN reports Ralph Fiennes and Jennifer Lopez had to change the title of their new movie three times - because it sounded like a porn movie. The film, now entitled 'Maid In Manhattan', was originally called 'The Chambermaid' but both stars were worried when people asked them just how raunchy their scenes together would be. Fiennes says, "Originally it was 'The Chambermaid' but everyone thought it was either a period piece or a porn film. Then it was called 'Uptown Girl' which everybody hated." November 7, 2002 - Lloyd Grove of the Washington Post reports Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were spotted Sunday morning in Washington DC and were "walking briskly in the direction of the Lincoln Memorial." Takoma Park resident Sabrina Eaton e-mailed. "About 20 minutes later... I saw the gooey pair again, sitting on one of the top memorial steps, gazing at the view. They held hands as they walked... They had their arms around each other."

"I never said that I was unhappy with my son seeing Jennifer," Chris insisted. "She is a lovely girl, very sweet and warm and, frankly, I have never seen Ben happier. I first met her in the summer on a film set with Ben and thought she was absolutely lovely. I certainly have no reason to be concerned."

November 4, 2002 - Farrah Weinstein of the New York Post visited the Bronx neighborhood Jennifer Lopez grew up in and recently taped an interview with Diane Sawyer at, and the residents say "J.Ho" is anything but 'Jenny From The Block.' For the cameras, she visited the Holy Family Catholic school she attended as a child, stopped across the street at the yellow house where she used to dance for her parents in the living room and stopped in at the Crossbronx pizza shop on the corner. Bodyguards shoved excited kids out of her way, residents said, leaving one tiny fan in tears. "The kids were cursing at J.Lo because she wouldn't acknowledge them," says Emily Estevez. Instead, it is about a 5 karat pink stone from Winston that rumored fiance Ben Affleck bought, shelling out more than $1.1 million.
