February 28, 2003 - The Sun reports Jennifer Lopez demanded everyone left a London cinema floor at the premiere of her film 'Maid in Manhattan' so she could use the ladies room in total privacy. "There are lots of ladies toilets on the first floor but Jennifer wanted them all to herself," an onlooker explained. "Anyone who needed the loo was told to use the toilets three floors up. They had to wait in a long queue and some guests missed the start of the film." Read more.

February 22, 2003 - IMDB.com reports Jennifer Lopez angrily stormed out of a surprise lunchtime meeting with fiance Ben Affleck because she felt sure she'd wandered into a clinch between her man and his new Christina Applegate. Affleck was rehearsing a scene for new movie 'Surviving Christmas' with the former 'Married... With Children' star when he started chatting to her about her role in celebrity burlesque revue The Pussycat Dolls. But just as Applegate was giving Ben a taste of her sexy dance act, Lopez walked in on the couple, and promptly marched off. Set sources claim Affleck ran after his wife-to-be and managed to calm her down before the couple disappeared to spend some quality time together in the actor's trailer.

February 22, 2003 - Billboard Bulletin reports that Los Angeles singer Debra Laws is suing Sony Music Entertainment and Epic Records, alleging multiple counts of invasion of privacy. She says her name, voice, "signature lyrics," and melody from her 1980 album 'Very Special' appear without her consent on the Jennifer Lopez / LL Cool J duet 'All I Have'. The track is a #1 hit and appears on both Jennifer Lopez's 'This Is Me... Then' and LL Cool J's '10'. The suit seeks unspecified damages. No comment from Epic on the lawsuit.

February 20, 2003 - Blender magazine spoke with Robbie Williams to weigh in on their Rock Goddesses selections, and the British singer was able to get digs in at Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, and Christina Aguilera. On Mariah, he said to the interviewer suggesting the two singles hook up, "You're carrying the McBonkers torch to the stadium of mad." And on Aguilera's makeover: "She's dirty and needs a wash." February 20, 2003 - While Jennifer Lopez has moved on to fiance Ben Affleck, her ex-husband Cris Judd isn't ready to enter the dating arena yet. February 20, 2003 - Jim Farber of the New York Daily News reports that LL Cool J's album got a lifesaving boost from Jennifer Lopez after Epic allowed Def Jam to use the smash hit 'All I Have' on LL's latest album '10'. The disc had been at a lowly #84 before getting the J.Lo boost this week to rocket to the #9 spot - selling 66,101 units, up from 11,189. For her part, Lopez didn't get much of a boost from the track, having already had a top 10 selling album since its release. Read more.

February 14, 2003 - The New York Daily News reports an insider tells them Jennifer Lopez has had to scratch plans for a three-night concert run in New York because she's pregnant with fiance Ben Affleck's child. Reps for the couple denied this latest report, noting that J.Lo is due to start filming in April on 'An Unfinished Life' with Robert Redford.

February 14, 2003 - 50 Cent chatted with MuchMusic about his much publicized public feud with Ja Rule and Murder Inc. "When I was coming up as an artist after I got shot and I came back to Columbia Records," said 50 Cent. "I did a record with Jennifer Lopez and Irv went out his way calling people (saying) 'Yo if you do records with 50 Cent I won't do records with you, I won't do this film' like his influence would be large enough to stop me from actually existing in the music business."

February 14, 2003 - Ben Affleck appeared on Live with Regis and Kelly on Thursday where Regis Philbin grilled him about his engagement to Jennifer Lopez. "You're involved with the hottest woman, you're the sexiest man alive, she's got to be the sexiest woman alive and you're in love," said Regis. However, Ben jokingly turned the tables on Philbin. February 12, 2003 - After already being behind the sacking of Ben Affleck's former publicist Odessa Whitmore, who also happens to be fiance to Matt Damon, Jennifer Lopez was also behind the ouster of her replacement, Annelise Levy. Seems as with Whitmore, J.Lo was furious that Levy was living in Affleck's mansion in Los Angeles. "Lopez gave her the heave-ho simply because she's a woman," blabbed a source. Affleck's publicist countered, "Levy left on her own terms to work for actress Naomi Watts."

February 12, 2003 - Variety reports Robert Redford is to star opposite Jennifer Lopez in Lasse Hallstrom's 'An Unfinished Life'. Lopez plays a single mother who, due to hard times, is forced to move in with Redford, her estranged father-in-law. Filming on the Miramax/Revolution production begins in April.

February 12, 2003 - The New York Post reports Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez plans a combined bachelor/bachelorette party at Crazy Horse Too strip club in Las Vegas for 100 close pals, at least according to one of the club's owners. February 11, 2003 - Britney Spears' big screen debut 'Crossroads' collected eight nominations for this year's Razzies, which honor the year's worst films, while Madonna's 'Swept Away' received seven, both including worst actress and worst film. February 11, 2003 - Chris Booker of Entertainment Tonight caught up with Ben Affleck and asked him about how he and fiance Jennifer Lopez will manage to get married with both having such busy schedules. Ben told Chris, who happens to date J.Lo's sister Lynda, "I'm working through July. It also wasn't the kind of thing where we got engaged, and said, 'Oh, that means that we have to get married like right away.' I think both of us anticipated that that was the more traditional version of it, you know the old school kind of stages of like, Okay, you date, and then say, Okay, we're going to commit to, like, take this relationship to another level. For instance, Mariah Carey came on my show. We had a face to face and she brought champagne and Chinese food we talked for two hours. She didn't walk out or get upset of nothing like that. February 7, 2003 - Ben Affleck gets razzed by Michael Clark Duncan, his 'Armageddon' co-star, about dating Jennifer Lopez. "I tease him about it every day," he tells the BBC. "I mean, come on! You walk into a grocery store and there’s one of your friends walking out of a pizza place with Jennifer Lopez. It’s just funny to read that he’s even going with her. I’m like, ‘I didn’t know he had that much charisma.’ I just see him as a goofy guy." Duncan also says that a wedding date has been set, but adds, "I know some things but I’m not gonna talk about it. "The characters are similar to the Mel Gibson and Danny Glover characters in those films." Movie bosses are hoping for multiple sequels in the movie to be titled 'Double Or Nothing'.

February 4, 2003 - Extra TV has a video clip of their first ever interview with Jennifer Lopez, from back in 1995. At that time, Jennifer's trainer was whipping her into shape for a film with Jack Nicholson called 'Blood & Wine' and another with Wesley Snipes, called 'Money Train.' Even early on, she showed the dedication it takes to succeed, both at the gym and in Hollywood. She said, "People always say: have something to fall back on. I don't have something to fall back on. Ben admitted, "It was crazy cold. I have never been so cold in my life. I mean, I'm from Boston. I know what cold is, but that was beyond anything I've ever felt. When I was out there on Michigan Avenue shooting that scene, I was so cold I thought I was going to vomit!" February 3, 2003 - Well despite an earlier comment to Movieline dissing Madonna's acting ability, Jennifer Lopez tells NY Rock that the Material Girl is her biggest influence on the other side of the spectrum -- musically. "For my era growing up, [she] was the quintessential performer, and a push-the-envelope type of person," J.Lo said. And is Lopez the type to push the envelope? "No, I don't think that I'm a push-the-envelope type of person," she admits. "But I think Madonna was so visionary. And in her shows, she was so expressive. February 1, 2003 - Us Weekly reports that when Jennifer Lopez ate with two friends at the Ben Pao restaurant in Chicago, she feasted on sesame chicken and ginger ale, but had a hard time sleeping that night because according to a source, "her party had only tipped 20 percent." The next day, one of her dinner companions "came back to Ben Pao and left her server an extra $100 and said, 'Jennifer was talking about it all night. February 1, 2003 - Star magazine reports Jennifer Lopez's dreams of a Valentine's Day church wedding have been shattered after her first ex-husband Ojani Noa has refused to annul their marriage which, in the eyes of the Catholic church, means they are still seen as man and wife. "Jennifer has done me no favours," Ojani said. " She screwed me out of a decent divorce settlement, then fired me as the manager of her restaurant. I owe her nothing." Read more.

February 1, 2003 - Popbitch.com reports that during video shoots and concerts, Jennifer Lopez will refer to herself as "The Management" if she is asked to do something she doesn't want to do. J.Lo will say: "The Management doesn't think that would be appropriate." Meanwhile, they report that Lopez wants to get back with Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs, and are constantly on the phone to one another. But since "The Management" doesn't want that known, as it won't do her career any further good, she's sticking with Ben Affleck.

February 1, 2003 - The Chicago Sun-Times reports that it is official -- the Chicago plug has been pulled on the Ben Affleck film 'Surviving Christmas' because of cold weather. The set was shut down on Wednesday, and at the Edgebrook neighborhood where the film had been shot and Ben and Jennifer Lopez had been spotted... all that was left were old Christmas decorations. Presumably the filming will resume in sunny Los Angeles.
