September 30, 2003 - Local
radio jock Russ of 97.3 KISS-FM tells the Boston Herald yesterday he doesn't
think Savannah "can stand much more of the Ben and J. Lo hype." But that
didn't stop the station from running a "Ben and Jen Shotgun Wedding" promotion
this weekend: Be the correct caller and you can win a copy of Jennifer
Lopez and Ben Affleck's marriage license and Ben's gun permit -- bogus
copies anyways. Winners get to pick out a CD from the list of recordings
Ben bought during his $800 sweep through the local Best Buy the other day,
including the latest from Beyonce Knowles and Christina Aguilera. Read
more.
September
30, 2003 - Director Kevin Smith revealed the latest on the Ben Affleck
and Jennifer Lopez wedding saga last Thursday to Entertainment Tonight.
"They were never apart," Smith said. "It was pretty funny just reading
everything going like, 'Wow, they're broken up? I was just with them the
other day.' But, you know, that's the press. I certainly don't have any
fears about their relationship." Read more, and check out a video clip
with Smith here.
September 30, 2003 - The
Sun has photos of Ben Affleck giving Jennifer Lopez a ride on his motorcycle
where both wore helmets covering their faces. "They didn’t want their faces
to be seen and so they hid behind the visors of the helmets," an onlooker

on to Ben. Clearly their wedding is back on." Check out the pictures, including
one of Ben flipping off the photographer, here.

didn't actually have the nod. All providers of goods and services were
required to sign confidentiality agreements, and weren't even allowed to
talk to on another. Read more.
September 28, 2003 - The

himself as Ben, who said, "I'm looking for a loaded Dodge Ram off-road,
four-wheel drive pickup truck. Do you have any on the lot?" Stanley did
have one on the lot, and later in the day, a Range Rover pulled in followed
by a small army of photographers. Stanley admitted, "It was nerve-wracking

Letterman joked during his Late Show monologue on Wednesday night, "This

the artic ice shelf breaking up?! Their wedding was called off over the
weekend. Then yesterday they were spotted together in Georgia getting a
license for a gun. J.Lo said they got the license because she was afraid

"J.Lo is putting her all into this pose and her acting could win an Oscar.
She is trying to show how in love they are, with her eyes closed as she
tilts her head up to him. But Ben clearly could not care – and this look
is his speciality. Although he is holding her, it is not a tender embrace

Lopez and Ben Affleck in an online chat with readers on Tuesday. She said,
"Thanks for asking. It has been a very upsetting couple of weeks, and I
know the entire music industry is holding its breath to see how J.Lo will
artistically express her heartbreak and humiliation. I frankly think several
years of Buddha-like silence would be the best remedy -- for us, if not
for her. On the other hand, a vicious, nasty cat-clawed punk anthem about
Ben's emotional and physical shortcomings could be an interesting detour
for J.Lo. But the only way I'd listen to it is if she could get Cyndi Lauper
to sing it for her." Read more.

As for their post-cancellation dinner at The Ivy, Friedman says their mutual

interest that has become so weird and intense. He adds that it a business
meal, not a romantic encounter. Read more.

love to just lay back and do nothing, but we don't want to be lulled into
a false sense of security." Read more.

22, so there's an age gap."
September 15, 2003 - The

co-anchor Rene Syler on the surprise wedding postponement of Jennifer Lopez
and Ben Affleck. "I think it was the media frenzy, but like any normal
bride-to-be, there were other things that were making Jennifer Lopez nervous,"
Fuller said. "Apparently, there was a problem with her dress fitting, a
problem with her mom's dress, a problem with the invitations, some family
feuding going on. So I think that these other factors possibly contributed."

September 14, 2003 - On Wednesday
night's Countdown, host Keith Olbermann touched on Jennifer Lopez and Ben
Affleck postponing their wedding for what they claim is because of intense
media attention. Olbermann says Countdown’s top three other possible reasons
are: No. 3, the dressmaker needs more time to take out the gown in the
rear end. No. 2, they’ve actually moved the ceremony to a secret location
no one will ever find, a theater that is still showing 'Gigli.' And No.
1, Affleck? I thought you said I was marrying...

a friend of the couple revealed. "And when she found out he had hightailed
it to a Connecticut casino after visiting his mom, she was furious. She's
still very, very mad at him for playing around with strippers a few weeks
ago." J.Lo believes Ben's habit is a big waste of money. "When she hears
about Ben wagering huge sums of money on a single poker hand, she thinks
that's flushing money down the toilet," the friend said. "She wants him
to grow up and act his age." Read more.

Ben Affleck, as the Boston Herald reports the Montecito Fire Department
told us yesterday the station house had received a fax from the county
saying "the event" was indeed off and to keep the roads around the church
and Sotto Il Monte estate open this weekend. "That will make the residents
happy," said a firehouse spy. "They were all bent out of shape about the
road closings. They all think they're very important and can't understand
why they would close the roads for Ben and J. Lo when they don't even live
here." Ben's PR guy, Ken Sunshine, also said talk of a fake-out by the
couple probably isn't the case. "I would say that's a great reason to conclude
that it's not a ruse," he said. "I have no idea how (guest expenses) will
be dealt with - it's all still new - but it will absolutely be dealt with."

That crate guy – he already shipped himself to Santa Barbara." He added,
"Ben and J. Lo say they are upset with all the media attention they are
getting. They should be pleased. This is the first thing they’ve done together
to draw a crowd! J.Lo has been married so many times that she now has bouquet
elbow."
September 12, 2003 - The
Sun reports that voodoo psychic Merle Gonzalez refused to say Thursday

I am friends with Jennifer Lopez. But I cannot discuss my relationship
with her," she said. One of Gonzalez's neighbors added, "Apparently she
can go into a trance for up to five hours at a time and really look into
people’s pasts and predict the future. I just thought she was a little
mad. I'm surprised that a millionaire celebrity would visit someone like
that." Read more, including a photo of Gonzalez, here.

the dog was scratching and barking and whining the whole time," a source
revealed. "This dog apparently had no food or water and wasn't walked for
three days. The neighbors complained about the noise, and management got

They just felt with all the media pressure and attention, they would be

to Merle Gonzalez, a follower of the Caribbean quasi-religion Santeria,
