April 28, 2004 - In Touch Weekly reports that when Jennifer Lopez joined boyfriend Marc Anthony for a night of partying in the VIP section of Miami's Opium Garden club, they left only to find J.Lo's 7 Series BMW being inspected by a police officer. The cop was ready to tow the car for being illegally parked, but a source says, "Jennifer turned on the charm, and the officer sent her off with a warning." On their next visit to the club, they skipped the parking hassle and had a chauffeur drop them off.

April 28, 2004 - According to satirical website The Borowitz Report, in his most vehement defense of the war in Iraq to date, Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld told reporters today, "Iraq is not ‘Gigli'." Mr. Rumsfeld made his remark just hours after Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (D-Mass) compared Iraq and the ill-fated Jennifer Lopez-Ben Affleck vehicle from the well of the U.S. Senate. "For one thing, 'Gigli' was out of theaters after two weeks, and the war in Iraq will be with us for years and years and years and years," Mr. Rumsfeld said. Read more.

April 28, 2004 - The New York Daily News reports Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are still trying to keep their romance on the down-low. Anthony arrived at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala ahead of his girlfriend - walking in with Lopez's stylist, Andrea Liberman. April 25, 2004 - The Chicago Sun-Times reports Jennifer Lopez continued her tradition of bringing her romance out in the public following boyfriend Marc Anthony to the premiere of 'Man On Fire'. "For some reason, when it comes to her men, Jennifer can't go too long ...keeping them under wraps," a friend of the diva remarked. Though they arrived separately, spies say the couple were seen smooching in the back of the theater, leading more than one wag to quip, "some people were watching them more than the movie!" April 25, 2004 - In Touch Weekly magazine reports that less than three months into their relationship, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are having major troubles. "There was a bit of screaming on the phone," an insider revealed. "She was upset, yelled and then cried." Insiders say the couple was pushed to a boiling point on Easter weekend when J.Lo felt she was being cut out of the picture when Marc organized a trip to church with his kids. For now, the couple seemed to have patched up their differences. Meanwhile, Lopez is still wearing the 6.1 carat engagement ring given to her by Ben Affleck.

"I don't want to brag or anything, but, uh, I was okay," Jen said. As for her real-life role: "I had to keep reminding myself that I was playing myself and not try to be somebody else. April 21, 2004 - The New York Daily News reports despite Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez's staggered arrivals to the premiere of 'Man on Fire' in Los Angeles on Sunday (April 18), Lopez and Anthony left together, skipping the official after-party to have dinner elsewhere. "They were all over each other," a spy revealed. Neither of them would take press questions about their personal lives while on the red carpet. In a new Glamour magazine expose on the singer and actress' beauty secrets, J.Lo reveals she's far from happy about her scrawny ankles. She says, "I don't love my ankles. They're too skinny!" But Lopez does know how to shimmer with style - it's all about moisturising. She explains, "I moisturise my body and face whenever I get out of the shower, at night before bed and in the morning. Plus, I get at least eight hours of sleep a night. I don't like the way my body feels otherwise." April 21, 2004 - Jennifer Lopez arrived as a guest for the premiere of the drama film 'Man on Fire' in Los Angeles on Sunday (April 18). Lopez's current boyfriend, singer Marc Anthony appears in the film which stars Denzel Washington as a bodyguard hired to protect a young girl in Mexico City from kidnappers. "I find it very strange, the notion of, 'I'm going to stop asking for ridiculous perks, and I want you to applaud me. She's just like everyone else? Well, great. We're all regular people." April 19, 2004 - A very good pal of Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs tells The New York Post that when he was dating Jennifer Lopez, Puffy wasn't the only one being cheating. Lopez was still sneaking off with ex-lover Marc Anthony. "Look, Puffy cheated on her all the time, but she wasn't exactly faithful, either," the pal revealed. "Let me tell you, we all fell in love," said show star Eric McCormack of Lopez's appearance. "Jen, if you're [out there], we all fell in love." Megan Mullally added, "You read stuff about people, about the entourage -- the 800 hundred people -- and she's not like that at all. She had people with her, but she's a very nice person. The next day, Lopez was back in Los Angeles at the NBC sitcom's Studio City set with her old flame, singer Marc Anthony. J.Lo will play herself in 'Oh, No, You Didn't,' the last episode of the sitcom's sixth season, centering on Karen Walker's (Megan Mullally) wedding to Lyle Finster (John Cleese).

April 8, 2004 - The New York Daily News reports Jennifer Lopez's mother Guadalupe beat astronomical odds Saturday night when she played a dollar 'Wheel of Fortune' slot machine at the ritzy Atlantic City Borgata - and hit a $2.4 million payout. "It was divine intervention," Guadalupe declared after her $3 investment generated a more than 800,000-fold dividend. An insider said Lopez wants her bras and panties to be the "Victoria's Secret of the department store."
