"Jennifer's Miami digs were her ultimate bachelorette pad," an insider said. "But now that she's going to be a stepmom - as well as hopefully a mother herself - she's transforming the place from a party pad to a family home."

July 26, 2004 - Recently, Jennifer Lopez shot the September cover of Marie Claire at famed artist Hunt Slonem's 100-room studio in the West Village, and even though the shoot ended up taking all day she was "extremely hardworking and respectful," Slonem tells The New York Post.

"She is totally making every attept to remove physical stress from her daily life," one friend said. "She's lounding around and doing it with a smile." The wife of Marc Anthony is also "reading a lot about nutrition" and has hired an interior designer to develop a baby suite in her $9.5 million Miami mansion. "She wants the baby suite to be simple yet luxurious, and with amazing technology. Let's just say, she plans on having her eyes on the baby no matter where she is."

Asked if he talked with Jennifer Lopez often, or double dated, Damon responded, "I haven't spoken to her. But I haven't -- I didn't speak to them much when they were together. I was off a lot and they were off a lot. I mean, I -- she was really, really nice, I have to say. I mean, I don't know, it's such a weird thing seeing people you know and seeing them in that -- you know, seeing the kind of public side of that. July 19, 2004 - People magazine's Senior Editor Julie Dam spoke with 'Extra' about their report suggesting Jennifer Lopez may be pregnant. "A friend of Jennifer and Marc's says she's told her close family members -- her dad, her mom, and her sister -- that she is expecting," Dam said. But others close to Jennifer, like her personal trainer, aren't so sure. "He just says that she still has a flat stomach," Dam said. "And there's still no signs of a baby." July 12, 2004 - The New York Post reports that on Saturday (July 3), a Mercedes Maybach pulled up in front of Downtown Cipriani and an attractive, casually dressed woman with a long brunette ponytail got out with a similarly attired man. A passerby called out, "Oh my God, J.Lo you are so gorgeous!" The woman in question smiled and looked directly at the fan. "Thank you," she said. "But my name isn't J.Lo. It's Beyonce."

July 12, 2004 - Britney Spears' shopping trip escalates into a paparazzi mob scene. Courteney Cox pleads with the press to leave her newborn daughter alone. And Jennifer Lopez refuses to confirm that she tied the knot with crooner Marc Anthony. With celebrities feeling assaulted day in and day out by the paparazzi, the tabloids and even the mainstream media, they're building walls and trying to restrict access to their personal lives so they can maintain some semblance of privacy. "A celebrity is like an elected official," Us Weekly editor Janice Min told USA Today. "If you're getting paid $20 million a movie, you have to rely on public goodwill to stay in office. July 12, 2004 - Sky News reports that Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs has written a track and produced another for ex-lover Jennifer Lopez's next album. "I love and admire him," J.Lo told a source. "He is a musical genius and I have no problems in working with him." The album is expected out February '05.

July 12, 2004 - According to Jennifer Lopez's official site news from July 6th, the singer, despite Page Six's gossip, recorded a cover of Dean Martin's 'Sway' and it will be used as the end title for her new movie, 'Shall We Dance'. Marc Anthony only produced this track which has an English and Spanish version and which will be available as a single later on this year.

July 12, 2004 - Univision television, which has many close ties to Dayanara Torres, Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez, is confirming The New York Post's scoop that Lopez is pregnant. "Her friends and family members have told us she is pregnant," a Univision exec said, offering Page Six to fly down to Miami to talk about their exclusive on the 'Christina' show, but the Richard Johnson and crew had to decline. A rep for Lopez remarked, "I'm told she's not."

"Until now, they've been in fantasy island," a friend said. Amongst the concerns are the fact that she makes significantly more money, both were on the rebound, Marc's a well known ladies' man and J.Lo has broken hearts of her own as well, and they have very busy lives. A friend of Jennifer insisted the newlyweds are determined to beat the odds. "They have big things ahead of them, like where to live and how to raise their kids," the friend said. "This is something she's been waiting for her entire life - planning a family."

July 6, 2004 - Us Weekly reports Jennifer Lopez recently purchased a staggering 10,000 hangers from the Great American Hanger Company for her homes in Beverly Hills and Miami Beach. A pal said, "[They] both love clothes, so I'm not surprised." J.Lo also is planning to have a whirlpool added to their Miami Beach home, which she bought two years ago for $9.5 million, and she has already purchased some custom drapes, "to ensure more privacy," according to an interior design source.

July 6, 2004 - Australian syndicated DJ's Kyle and Jackie O recently caught up with Ben Affleck on an airplane phone to promote his film 'Jersey Girl'. Ben also talked about Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony getting married, how they don't have a "Bennifer" catchy nickname, being single, and working with Christina Applegate on his upcoming film 'Surviving Christmas'. July 2, 2004 - According to The New York Post, Jennifer Lopez's ex-husband Ojani Noa revealed during the upcoming WE channel special 'Young, Sexy & Spoiled' that the diva would run to the bathroom and pretend to throw up to get out of having sex with him. Noa said the other sign their marriage was doomed was when "people saw her with Puffy in Miami and that began the whole controversy with her cheating behind my back, and it upset me a lot." July 2, 2004 - The New York Post reports Jennifer Lopez spent three days in January recording a duet with Marc Anthony for the soundtrack of her new film 'Shall We Dance', but the song is being shelved because Miramax doesn't want the couple's marriage to divert attention from the movie. "Her engagement to Ben Affleck didn't help 'Gigli' or 'Jersey Girl,' and her marriage to Marc Anthony isn't going to help 'Shall We Dance'," an insider explained. Read more.
