Ted Casablanca reports that one of Jennifer's 'Friends' that was watching
her rented Beverly Hills house held a party there without her knowledge,
and they had the nerve to try on her wardrobe as well.

are in magazines doesn't mean we're not people."
August 30, 2000 - Apparently
Jennifer and Puffy aren't the party animals they're painted out to be,
as Entertaindom.com reports in the past 8 month's Puffy's only taken Jennifer
to two parties, one her birthday (as we reported).
August 28, 2000 - People
magazine talks about Jennifer Lopez and her body, as well as other actresses,
saying "Adrienne Ressler, a body-image specialist for the Renfrew Center,
a treatment facility for eating disorders in Coconut Creek, Fla., finds
those choices encouraging. Crawford, Berry and Lopez all have 'very curvaceous,
womanly bodies,' she points out. 'They may be beautiful ideals, but they
have breasts and hips. They look like real women.'" 15% of respondants
said they wanted to look like Jennifer, 3rd to Halle Berry (18%) and Cindy
Crawford (21%).

scenes in films.

Lopez seems to really like The Cell, as she tells Launch.com "When I first
sat there and watched the finished product from beginning to end, I was
really blown away," she said. "When I was watching it, and it was moving
along, and the story's there, I was, like, 'This is good!' Then I thought
to myself halfway through, when I'm watching these incredible visual images
and stuff, I was like, 'This is like something I've never seen before.'
So I was really, really impressed with what Tarsem had done with the film,
and the way the story was. I was actually really happy. I really like it."

York Post suggests maybe so, asking Which Upper East Side plastic surgeon
indiscreetly brags to prospective patients that he is responsible for improving
the voluptuous curves of a sultry Latina starlet who evidently had a bit
too much upholstery in her seat and thighs?

comments on Jennifer Lopez from last week's chat with Jonathan Foreman
on Yahoo! Chat: "she does wear some very outrageous Versace-esque outfits"
in The Cell. About the movie? "It's not very frightening, and you've definitely
seen the story before. But visually it's cool in a operatic/music video/fashion
shoot kind of way"

Lopez commented to the NY Post about images in The Cell that made her look
like the Virgin Mary "The costume design was based on a Brazilian sea goddess.
It had nothing to do with the Catholic religion at all. There are no crosses
or anything like that. It's just a white robe with red on it."

Lopez isn't too concerned about what she'll wear to the MTV VMA's, as she
told TV Guide "I don't do that type of thing until a couple days before."

choose a couple of things and then that day I choose what I'm going to

so far has been getting mixed reviews, as we know Howard Stern gave it
a good review, the Seattle Times gave it 3 stars, but Entertainment Weekly's
Lisa Schwarzbaum says "The surreal Jennifer Lopez thriller is incoherent"
and "The Cell's visual allure can't save the movie." Also, the Post gave
it two stars.
August 17, 2000 - Jennifer
Lopez was on the Today show today interviewed by Matt Lauer, who was in
LA covering the DNC. Jennifer had to do the interview at 4:30 am. She addressed
Puffy's arrest by saying that in her business you are victim to however
the media portrays you.
August 17, 2000 - Vince Vaughn
commented to Ted Casablanca on how it was to work with Jennifer in The
Cell, saying "She's so cool, I know people like to talk trash about her,
but I really like her. She's so much fun to hang out with. I really mean
that."
August 16, 2000 - Howard
saw The Cell last night and told listeners he loved it. He thinks it will
be a big hit and was impressed with Tarsem Singh's first movie, as well
as it's NIN look (he's directed music videos in the pastl).
August 16, 2000 - FHM chimed
in on The Cell as well, saying "If it lives up to the hype, The Cell should
be a perfect brew of a piss your bed so you don't have to walk in the dark
suspense thriller."
August 16, 2000 - Worldpop
reports that Jennifer Lopez clips out the most outrageous claims so that
she can show her future children. Among them, the $1 billion booty insurance,
and that she won't sleep on linens with a thread count of less than 250
per inch.
August 16, 2000 - If you
think Salma Hayek and Jennifer Lopez have an icy relationship now, word
now comes from Variety that Jennifer has been approached by United Artists
to play the Mexican painter Frida Kahlo in another movie about her,
this one besides the Miramax version of the same biopic.

Lopez is talking about babies and would definitely put marriage and children
over her career. She told MTV "They're both important to me because I love
what I do at the moment, but having a family is the ultimate to me. I think
about it now that I'm getting to a certain age and things are going okay."

Lopez postponed her radio interview on Seattle's KNDD. The DJs were bitching
about it and didn't like her publicist who said it was a scheduling conflict.
They were debating on whether to take her call afterwards when and if she
calls later in the week.

Paula Froelich commenting on Jennifer and Puffy getting married in a recent
Yahoo chat "I don't know, they seem pretty happy the way they are now and
he's got a lot of other things to take care before and if he gets married
like the charges against him." And of her relationship with Puffy's ex,
Kim Porter? "Kim Porter is absolutely not jealous of Jennifer, she is the
one who broke up with Puffy not the other way around. She is a successful
model and a mother which pretty much keeps her busy."
August 15, 2000 - Star magazine
is dropping the bombshell this week that Jennifer Lopez has been living
with a benign brain tumor located in her pituitary gland. Her doctors have
been frequently checking it but so far there's been no change. Friends
say that Lopez is "worried the tumor will grow and she'll have to go under
the knife, that probably terrifies her the most."

quote from Jennifer Lopez "Beauty and sexiness aren't about who you are
on the outside ... All that goes away. Everybody gets wrinkled; everybody's

reports more news on Jennifer's new album, as she says ''It's the same
kind of music. It's gonna be pop with an R&B base and a Latin flavor
to it,'' Lopez says. ''That's who I am, and that's the kind of music that
I make." She also hopes it will be a better album than On The 6, which
critics panned as mediocre.
August 13, 2000 - Glamour
reports that Jennifer Lopez's parents wanted her to become a lawyer, but
she said of the offer "I don't think I would have been very happy, I'd
have been in front of the jury, singing." As for her fame, she admitted,
"I never bargained for the loss of privacy - how much impact that has on
you. It just became such a weird thing to know that other people know about
your life. I went through a period where I was very scared and I didn't
want to leave my house."
August 13, 2000 - Apparently
The Cell is very grisly, as the Post's Page Six reports "that it makes
"Silence of the Lambs" look like "Bambi." In one scene psycho killer Vincent
D'Onofrio disembowels a victim and plays the intestines like a harp. Lopez
reportedly told a journalist "There were days when I'd think, 'Are we going
to get away with this stuff?'"
August 12, 2000 - Carlos
Santana commenting recently on his willingness to perform: "I'd like to
do something with Emilio Estefan and his wife Gloria, Ricky Martin, Jennifer
Lopez, Marc Anthony -- and do something that would bring more attention
to the Latin community."
August 12, 2000 - MTV reports
that Jennifer is halfway done with her second album and that she hopes
to have it released by October. She's also hoping that Puffy will be in
a couple of the tracks.
August 11, 2000 - Jennifer
Lopez was on Letterman last night and of course they talked about the dress.
Jenn says her dad originally asked why should wore it and was upset but
later said "Wow this is the biggest thing ever!" after all the attention.
She was definitely surprised by the birthday celebration she had, she told
Dave. She didn't say much about the shooting, saying "I'm not supposed
to talk about it because it's a legal thing... I'll get in trouble." She
did thank Dave for caring though.

reports 'Lil Kim and Jennifer are definitely not close. "I don't care for
her" was 'Lil Kim's response about Lopez. She called Jennifer a 'gold digger'.
Apparently 'Lil Kim is friends with Puffy's former love Kim Porter, whom
Puffy knocked up in '98. Lopez responded by saying "I hadn't heard anything
about it."
August 9, 2000 - Cindy Adams
reports on why Jennifer Lopez thinks there is a need for semi-nude scenes
in The Cell, saying I don't know about you, but I always walk around semi-naked
at home in underwear."
August 9, 2000 - Liz Smith
reports the director of The Cell, Tarsem, was more than pleased with Jennifer's
job in the role, saying "The role required someone comfortable with breaking
down walls, a willingness to experiment on every level!"
August 9, 2000 - The Star
magazine reports that the cop that Jennifer Lopez's character is modeled
on was shot twice in the arm in a showdown with gang members on the Santa
Monica pier, which was on live TV. Christina Corea underwent 10 hours of
surgery and says "I can't open my fingers." Jennifer was said to have been
very upset to hear the news.

reports Jennifer Lopez is quoted defending her Grammy dress recently, saying
"Hey, I liked the dress. I didn't think it was a big deal. Underneath,
it's like a bathing suit -- green with a full panty. There was no danger
of the dress falling off, believe me."

Lopez will be a guest on Late Night with David Letterman this coming Thursday,

of Cristal waiting for them in the VIP room of One 51 because the club
was so crowded they couldn't make their way up, though did say hello to
Faith Evans and Bozak.
