January 30, 2004 - Leighton Ginn of The Desert Sun caught up with Carson Daly for a Q&A session and asked the TRL host what embarrassing music he enjoys. "I'm the guy who premiered Britney Spears and *NSYNC on national television," he responded. "I don't know what's more embarrassing than that. I don't know. That's pretty good, right?" Asked if after dating Jennifer Love Hewitt and Tara Reid he'd consider dating a girl who would act, Daly responded, "(Much laughter) That's hilarious. No, I think I'm done with the actors. Unless Jennifer Garner got single, then I would take a tour, but I don't think so. I think I got it out of my system." Read more.

January 26, 2004 - A source close to Jennifer Love Hewitt tells Globe magazine that the singer and actress is deeply hurt by Nancy Sinatra's criticsm following her portrayal on 'American Dreams'. Insisting she really studied hard to prepare for the part, Love Hewitt said, "I really wanted to get her voice down. I found she kind of talk-sang the lyrics, but I wanted to be more melodic. Also, Nancy seemed to just be swaying to the beat, whereas I wanted to shake my groove thing a little bit."

January 26, 2004 - Nancy Sinatra lashed out at Jennifer Love Hewitt after her portrayal on 'American Dreams', where J.Love performed Sinatra's hit 'These Boots Are Made For Walkin'. While initially thinking Jennifer "will be fine" doing the performance, after the broadcast, Sinatra fumed: "Those were my words and now I have to eat them. She was allowed to take my image and that wonderful song straight to CAMP without looking back. Wrong approach. Wrong attitude. Wrong choreography. Wrong moves. Wrong hair. WAY wrong. No respect for me. No respect for the music. The only thing they got right was the dress. Sterotypical nonsense that's dogged me for decades." January 19, 2004 - Michael Musto of the Village Voice reports an observant traveler spotted Jennifer Love Hewitt flying with 'American Dreams' star Will Estes. Love Hewitt played Nancy Sinatra in a recent episode of the NBC program.

January 10, 2004 - Us Weekly asked several stars their New Year's resolutions. Jennifer Love Hewitt says, "Befriend all the paparazzi, so they'll stop taking random pictures of me! Send them all to an island - that or just wear a bag over my head."
