September 27, 2001 - Jessica Alba tells Glamour magazine in its October issue about her Dark Angel training saying, "I got obsessed with it. A lot of girls have eating disorders, and I did, too. I got too thin. ... Now I'm concentrating on being normal." Alba says she still works out but because she's filming 14 hours, she can't do much.

September 19, 2001 - Dark Angel director James Cameron is talking a movie for the series telling Cinescape.com, "I think if we have continued success with the series, there is a good possibility that we might want to make a film from it." Read more.

September 16, 2001 - US Weekly profiled TV couples including Jessica Alba and Michael Weatherly in this weeks issue. They quote Dark Angel cocreator James Cameron saying, "There was definitely a chemistry, so it was not a huge surprise to me when their relationship manifested itself."

September 12, 2001 - Due to the terrorist acts against the United States on Tuesday, the Emmy Awards scheduled for Sunday have been postponed "out of respect for the victims, their families and all fellow citizens," Jim Chabin, president of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, told the BBC.

September 9, 2001 - Jessica Alba will be a presenter at the 53rd annual Primetime Emmy Awards which will be telecast from Shrine Auditorium on CBS September 16th.

September 9, 2001 - Jessica Alba will be on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Monday, September 17th. Jay's other guests will be Emeril Lagasse and musical guest Alien Ant Farm.

September 8, 2001 - The Star reports Jessa Alba has been on a diet since the age of 12. Jessica says "Everyone in my family is overweight. I wanted to be healthier, so I started cooking for myself when I was 12." Alba talked about what she does to stay thin admitting, "I don't eat desserts or red meat. I stick to egg-white omelets, poultry, fish, vegetables, salads and fruit."

September 3, 2001 - In an abstracts.net poll asking if you think Jessica and Michael's engagement hurts her popularity amongst fans, 45.2% said yes while 54.8% said no. There were 1021 total votes cast.

September 2, 2001 - The Star reports Jessica Alba narrowly avoided death as a safety harness began twisting uncontrollably around her body during shooting on the Dark Angel set. Alba admits, "It was so scary. It was literally squeezing me to death." Jessica's screams were drowned out by a fan blowing air on her during the scene.
