Out magazine interviewed Jessica Simpson, who says she was betrayed by
the Rolling Stone writer Vanessa Grigoriadis who "was nice to my face and
then stabbed me in the back" with a cover story that probed her musical
career and her marriage to Nick Lachey. "She made half the stuff up," Simpson
complained. "It reminded me of my younger days, when girls would hate me
because they wanted to be in my shoes... She said that Nick is a father

Marriage Problems', explained, "Nick's bound to feel resentment that her
career is skyrocketing and his is in the doldrums. I think this is similar

Company wants every guy to be treated like a movie star this holiday season

Jessica Simpson and celebrity stylist Philip Bloch have teamed up to provide
the inside scoop on the best a man can get for the holidays. The 2003 Holiday
"It List" is the official guide to the best grooming, fashion, culture
and electronic gifts that every guy, metrosexual, gadget geek and sports
fan is hoping for this holiday season. The development of the "It List"
was inspired by the hot new racing car red Gillette MACH3Turbo Champion
razor, which Simpson says makes a perfect stocking stuffer. Jessica Simpson
and Phillip Bloch expanded the list by identifying the other hot holiday
gifts for guys this year. "I'm a major shop-a-holic, especially when it
comes to buying gifts for the men in my life," said Jessica Simpson, who
also stars in MTV's hit reality show The Newlyweds. "I have been searching
high and low for the perfect gifts for my husband, dad and friends, and

December 15, 2003 - Rashod
D. Ollison of The Baltimore Sun weighed in on some of the worst music from

Clay Aiken, Mandy Moore, Jessica Simpson, and Nick Lachey of 98 Degrees.
On Moore's 'Coverage', he remarked, "The result isn't awful, but the project
is completely unnecessary because Moore, who is in no way a stylist, does
nothing fresh with the evergreens." As for Simpson's 'In This Skin', he
says, "She's not a bad singer, by the way. Her material just goes nowhere."

December 10, 2003 - Darryl
Morden of the Hollywood Reporter reviewed the KIIS FM Jingle Ball concert
the other night, praising Jessica Simpson while sneering at the performance
of the show's headliner, Britney Spears. Morden writes, "Spears' three-song
closing set was completely anticlimactic -- cold, detached and perfunctory.
And although she wore a headset mic, it didn't even appear as if she was
singing most of the time, her voice bolstered by multitracks in the background
as she ran through the same old synchro-choreography and Sodom & Gomorrah
writhing from past years with her coed troupe of dancers." As for Simpson,
he remarked, "Who'd have thought the most artistry would come from Jessica
Simpson? The maybe-Gracie Allen of the 21st century, with faux Farrah Fawcett
'70s hair, turned in an acoustic set accompanied by just two guitar players
and a percussionist, her vocals reined for some actual subtlety." Read

minutes. Read more.

to Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie on 'The Simple Life', premiering Tuesday

Morrow of The Knoxville News Sentinel writes, "She makes Jessica Simpson
look like a Mensa candidate." Bill Frost of Salt Lake City Weekly writes,
"Jessica Simpson is going to have to seriously step up her pinhead game
next season on Newlyweds." Alisha Davis of CNN Headline News writes, "Let's
just say that Jessica Simpson won't be the butt of all those dumb blond
jokes after this series premieres."
