writes "I just watched VH1's 'Driven', the Jessica Simpson episode, and
I have to say... what a load of crap! Jessica's family makes it look as
though she was "picked on" and she had low "self esteem". Jessica Simpson
was the most popular girl in our grade. She was gorgeous, snobby and stuck
up. She won homecoming queen every year! All the guys wanted her and all
the girls hated her! She was the type of girl that made high school a living
hell
for the "not so cool" types. She was so the stereotypical "popular girl"
that you see in afterschool specials. She was the kind of girl that made
me glad high school was over. She
wouldn't give ANYONE who wasn't "popular" the time of day. It's sad that
people like her can go on to be so successful!"
May 31, 2004 - The San Diego
Union Tribune reports the California state agency that disciplines doctors
has voted to revoke the license of prominent San Diego and Los Angeles
eye surgeon Dr. Glenn Kawesch, who helped clear Jessica Simpson's vision
with LASIK surgery on April 26th, and in return the star agreed to endorse
his treatment, citing his guilty plea to federal tax evasion charges as
a crime of moral turpitude. In a 34-page ruling, the Medical Board of California
said Kawesch's plea and other evidence of dishonesty are sufficient to
punish him to protect the health and welfare of patients. Simpson had earlier
said, "It's like being healed by God! I was legally blind, I couldn't see
without contacts or glasses. I couldn't see my hand in front of me. I couldn't
see the big 'E' on the (eye test) screens." Read more.

tells Us Weekly she's not bothered by news that ABC won't be picking up
her sitcom. "I have so much more going on right now that it's a good thing,"

anything got big. I don't even want to do TV, I'd rather do movies." Simpson
has 'The Dukes of Hazzard' movie in mind, wanting to play Daisy Duke. The
nixed sitcom doesn't mean an end to Jessica's relationship with ABC though,
as Simpson and her hubby Nick Lachey of 98 Degrees have reportedly been
signed up for eight more variety shows over the next two years.

May 24, 2004 - In Touch Weekly
spoke with plastic surgeon Dr. Randal Haworth after recent photos show
Jessica Simpson's breasts have become suspiciously rounder and firmer than
in previous pictures. Asked if this could be due to her bra, Haworth said,
"In general, when natural breasts are pushed together they're not as round,
and you get less defined cleavage." Haworth believes Simpson may "have
had a breast lift and possibly small implants to make them look firmer
and perkier," to prevent sagging and create cleavage.
