November 29, 2004 - Now that Jessica Simpson has landed a big movie role on the big screen version of 'The Dukes Of Hazzard', the singer wants to become a big-time actress. "I would love to be a movie star -- a Julia Roberts or a Reese Witherspoon," Simpson told 'Access Hollywood' host Billy Bush. "I mean I adore those women so much and they are so inspirational and great role models." Read more.

November 29, 2004 - Anonymous writes "Despite an extremely busy movie schedule, Jessica Simpson has still find time to record her followup to, 'In This Skin.' Jessica, who is currently fliming her debut flim role in, 'The Dukes Of Hazard,' has found time in between takes to record her next album. There is a recording studio in her trailer so it is easy for her to record while away from home. Jessica has reportedly been working with Rick Wake, the man behind the hit, 'With You.' Jessica has also been working with Max Martin. Max has given Jessica two songs including a song called, 'Setting The Record Straight,' which is supposedly her fight song to the media. The other song, which is described as a rock lullaby, is called, 'Storm Clouds.' The album is due fall 2005."

November 22, 2004 - In Touch magazine reports that while Nick Lachey celebrated his 31st birthday in Las Vegas with Jessica Simpson and the MTV cameras rolled, things looked lovey dovey for the couple, but not so when they were turned off. "They looked indifferent and a little glum," an onlooker who saw the couple several times over the weekend earlier this month revelaed. Another witness added, "It was a very tense weekend. Jessica was snappy and short-tempered with Nick every time that I saw her. Things just seemed very on edge." But Jessica's dad Joe claims there are no problems. "They are as much in love today as they were the first day they got married," he insisted.

November 22, 2004 - The New York Daily News reports 'American Idol' season two runner-up Clay Aiken says that he probably shouldn't have taken his mother to the American Music Awards in 2003. "The show was crass," he said. "Dave Grohl made vulgar jokes. Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie said the F-word. Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson alluded to their sex life any chance they could. My mother... was not enjoying what she would later call a 'smutty little program.' ... If I could have left, grabbed my mom, and hightailed it to a Cracker Barrel, I probably would have." Read more.

November 22, 2004 - MTV News reports that in a movie adaptation of Beverly Brandt's book 'Room Service', Jessica Simpson has been signed up to play Katya Morgan, a Paris Hilton type who's always getting into trouble — until she gets the news of her father's death. In short order, the character goes from luxuriating in a villa to cleaning toilets and making beds to pay off her bill in the Scottsdale, Arizona, hotel where she stayed during her father's funeral. November 22, 2004 - Jay Leno joked during his Tonight Show monologue on Thursday night, "The New York Post reported Jessica Simpson was in tears after the American Music Awards the other night because she lost a a diamond ring, possibly her engagement ring. She lost it. Luckily, Jennifer Lopez was there to console her, saying, 'Don't worry, you can always get more of those'."

November 15, 2004 - Nick Lachey defended his wife Jessica Simpson and their marriage exclusively to 'Access Hollywood' after reports have repeatedly surface claiming the 'Newlyweds' pair are heading for divorce. "No, it's not on the rocks. I don't know where they get these stories from," said Lachey. The 98 Degrees singer added, "They're clearly just trying to sell magazines. They've told us that 'You guys sell magazines for us.' And they know there's no truth in what they're writing but they continue to write it. November 15, 2004 - Star magazine reports that while Nick Lachey was watching a striptease show from Jessica Jaymes several weeks ago for Sean Sullivan's bachelor party, the 98 Degrees singer's wife Jessica Simpson was enjoying a 'Puppetry of the Penis' show with Sullivan's now wife, Jennifer. Simpson howled and giggled as two naked men twisted their privates into "fruit bats" and "turtles."

November 15, 2004 - A California-based cosmetics company has filed suit against Jessica Simpson, alleging that Simpson, her cosmetic company Dessert Beauty Inc. and cosmetic retailing giant Sephora owe nearly $200,000 for products manufactured and sold to Dessert. November 15, 2004 - Tabby Soignier of the LSU Reveille ran into Jessica Simpson in Baton Rouge at a local Wal-Mart. Simpson was with her buddy/personal assistant Casey, and wasn't keen on doing an interview since she was just shopping. Simpson told Soignier: "Oh, well I'm really busy buying stuff for the house here." Asked if she was moving to the area, Jessica responded, "Yeah, to shoot the 'Dukes of Hazard'." November 15, 2004 - The Las Vegas Review Journal reports Jessica Simpson was spotted without hubby Nick Lachey shopping Sunday at Taryn Rose and Chrome Hearts in the Phase III Forum Shops at Caesars. Meanwhile Lachey, who turns 31 Tuesday, was onstage for a happy birthday serenade from 1,200 guests on Saturday during Beacher's Madhouse in The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel. Earlier at Simon's Kitchen & Bar, Nick's birthday group, including Simpson and her father, Joe, dined family style with sea bass, meatloaf, bone-in steak, macaroni and cheese, blue tuna tartare, minicrabcakes, cotton candy and banana bread muffins.

November 8, 2004 - The People reports that a leaked memo from makers MTV describes former Steps star Lisa Scott-Lee as a British 'Newlyweds' version of Jessica Simpson for the singer's upcoming reality show alongside former Hear'Say hubby Johnny Shentall. "It will be a classic, compelling show in the 'Osbournes' / 'Newlyweds' mold, as these stars and their loved ones expose real emotions and relationships," MTV bosses claimed. "There will be laughter. There will be highs and lows." 

November 8, 2004 - The Las Vegas Review Journal reports Nick Lachey was spotted having a birthday dinner celebration at AJ's Steakhouse in the Hard Rock Hotel on Friday before joining wife Jessica Simpson after dinner for some bowling in the Penthouse suite. Lachey was joined at dinner by his 98 Degrees bandmate Justin Jeffre, Jessica's dad Joe Simpson and Jamie-Lynn Discala's hubby A.J.

November 8, 2004 - Jessica Simpson tells People magazine that her relationship with 98 Degrees singer Nick Lachey is "better than it's ever been." She says they are "absolutely not breaking up." Simpson added, "What married couple doesn't (argue)? You don't want to marry somebody who's just like you. So there are always going to be conflicts. That's what compromise is all about. It means that we're communicating."

November 8, 2004 - New York-based manufacturing firm Andrew Sports Club announced a reported $10 million licensing deal with Jessica Simpson, The New York Daily News reports. Under JS Brand Management, Sports Club CEO Andrew Kirpalani says his company will develop, market and distribute a junior sportswear line, kids' clothes, dresses, hats, watches, jewelry and undies under the Jessica Simpson and Sweet Kisses brand names. November 1, 2004 - The New York Post reports spoke with porn star Jessica Jaymes after reports in Star magazine claimed 98 Degrees star Nick Lachey had cheated on wife Jessica Simpson with Jaymes. "I was hired to perform at a bachelor party," Jaymes revealed. "And yes, Nick Lachey was there. I did a girl-on-girl show with another porn star, whose name I don't know. We brought over a lot of really cool vibrators and whipped cream and gear and stuff. There were toys used and naughty actions going on. Everyone had a really good time. That's really all I'm allowed to say." Read more.

November 1, 2004 - A seller on eBay attempted to sell the personally signed gas can Jessica Simpson used when she ran out of gas and was rescued by the paparazzi in Beverly Hills while shopping. The gas can was shown in a photo as featured in In Touch Magazine and on the TV show 'Extra'. Unfortunately for the seller, there was no interest in the plastic fuel holder at the opening bid of $199.95. So far it hasn't been re-listed. Check it out here.
