reports that Jessica Simpson met her television idol at Jinky's Cafe in
Los Angeles. "Excuse me, Do you play Roxy on 'On eLive To Live'?," Simpson
asked Ilene Kristen, who nodded yes. "You're my absolute favorite! Can
I have your autograph?" Kristen signed for the happy 'Newlyweds' star.

24, 2005 - The Associated Press has a preview of the third season of the
Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson starring 'Newlyweds' on MTV, as well as
a second season of 'The Ashlee Simpson Show' on the music channel. Both
premiere on January 26th. Lois Curren, executive vice president of MTV
series entertainment, said Ashlee's reality show will "document Ashlee
as she skyrockets to the top of the music industry and is then forced to
face the other side of fame, including intense press scrutiny and live

January 24, 2005 - The National
Enquirer reports that in the wake of her 'Saturday Night Live' lip-synching
debacle and her performance at the Orange Bowl which was greeted with a
chorus of boos, Ashlee Simpson has turned to her big sister Jessica Simpson
for support. "It's all getting too much for Ashlee and she's crying on
her sister's shoulder," revealed a close source. "Jessica doesn't want
to see her sister crack under the strain of these setbacks." An insider
added, "Jessica's really worried about Ashlee, fearful she's going to crack

Vegas Review Journal reports that spies say an off-Strip hotel offered
Jessica Simpson more than $20 million guaranteed for a 30 week concert
run, with five performances per week. The deal fell through when her father
insisted on $1 million a week, and some now wonder if she regrets her father
playing hardball.
January 17, 2005 - 'Entertainment
Tonight' caught up with several celebs at the People's Choice Awards to
get their reaction to the Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston marriage split.

January 17, 2005 - Life &
Style Weekly reports that Jessica Simpson and hubby Nick Lachey renewed
their vows in October in a "super-secret ceremony" at Riverbend Church
in Austin, Texas, which was the same church where they were wed in 2002.
A rep for the couple insisted to Jeannette Walls of MSNBC.com: "Jessica
Simpson and Nick Lachey did not renew their wedding vows." The magazine
responded with: "We have several sources on this and we're standing by

January 17, 2005 - Pop stars
are a frequent occurance for Mr. Blackwell's Worst Dressed List announced
on Tuesday. Lindsay Lohan came in second behind 'Desperate Housewives'
star Nicollette Sheridan. Blackwell said of the teen queen: "When it comes
to fashion, she's in a schizophrenic frenzy!" Ashlee Simpson and Jessica
Simpson tied for third, Paris Hilton slipped to number five, and Britney

to promote her Dessert Beauty collection. on Monday (January 10), from

York Post reports that a waiter at Smith & Wollensky in South Beach
accidentally dumped a piping-hot side dish of creamed spinach on Jessica
Simpson's dress Sunday night, prompting laughter from some crew members
from her MTV show 'Newlyweds' as well as a few steakhouse staffers who
witnessed the incident. That didn't sit well with Jessica's hubby Nick
Lachey of 98 Degrees, who called over the manager and told her, "I want
those [bleeps] to apologize to my wife!" The miffed Mr. Simpson later complained
about the temperature of his filet mignon and finally refused to pay the
bill. MTV later picked up the bill, and the mishap will air it on a future
episode of 'Newlyweds'.

to The New York Post, Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey's marriage was a
big seller for the weekly celeb magazines in 2004, while interest in issues
featuring Britney Spears seemed to draw fewer buyers. It's believed that
In Touch weekly's bestseller for the year was a November 29th Jessica Simpson
cover titled "It's Over", while Us Weekly's worst-selling issue of the
year was "Britney Out of Control" back on January 19th. Read more.
January 3, 2005 - BANG Showbiz
reports that Jessica Simpson's mother used to pull the singer's legs every
night, worrying that they were too short. "My mom was so worried that because
of my long body and dwarf legs, I would grow up looking strange," Simpson
revealed. "So every night, before I went to bed, she would pull them and
stretch them so they would be in proportion with the rest of my body!"

reports that 98 Degrees star Nick Lachey had wanted to go on vacation with
wife Jessica Simpson in Paris, but had to quickly change plans after Jessica's
meddling father Joe got wind of the trip and wanted to get MTV to film
a MTV special, according to a source. Joe hoped filming 'The Newlyweds
Take A Honeymoon' in France would show how popular Jessica is in Europe.
Nick then secretly booked a vacation at Hawaii's Fairmont Kea Lani Maui,
and resisted Jessica's request to invite her sister Ashlee and boyfriend
Ryan Cabrera. "Nick held his ground, telling her, 'Baby, this is just for
us. I want you all to myself'." But midway through the vacation, Ashlee
and Ryan ended up joining them in Maui.
January 3, 2005 - Sources
tell In Touch magazine that 98 Degrees star Nick Lachey is trying to convince
wife Jessica Simpson to start a family. The singer is "planting the seeds
in Jessica's head that he is looking forward to becoming a father - in
a big way," one said. " He knows Jessica isn't exactly ready, but he wants
her to know it's on his radar and that having a baby is something that
can't be brushed under the carpet. He wants Jessica to start thinking about
it." In response to those who feel it might hamper Jessica's career, Nick
reasoned to a pal, "If we have a baby, it'll add a dimension and keep people
interested. I don't think it'll be a hindrance to Jessica's career, I think
it would endear her even more to fans."

Hollywood' correspondent Shaun Robinson caught up with Ashlee Simpson on
the set of her debut film 'Wannabe', and asked about how her sister Jessica
Simpson is looking in her Daisy Duke shorts on the set of her new film,
'Dukes of Hazzard'. "I've seen her in her real shorts and she is looking
really good, I have to tell you," Ashlee said. "She's been working out

comments are coming from Joe Simpson about his daughter Jessica. Blender
quotes the ex-minister turned music manager remarking, "Her chest is ahead
of her by 2 or 3 feet - it gets there before she does."
January 3, 2005 - When Jessica
Simpson was 12, her father Joe gave her what he called a promise ring,
vowing to be the man in her life until she got married. "I was serious
about saying to Jessica, 'You know what? I am gonna be the dad that tells
you how beautiful you are everyday, and I'm gonna be the dad that says
even when you make a mistake you're still special, and I am gonna do that
until the day you find a man who will do it and take my place so that's
what the ring was about," Joe told 'Access Hollywood' co-host Billy Bush.
