November 24, 2005 - The New York Post reports Jessica Simpson was overheard telling her mother Tina at the Accessories Council ACE awards at Cipriani the other night: "Mom, Ashlee is so stupid. She left the popcorn in the microwave and almost burned the house down." The Post added that Simpson has also told pals she's worried about her little sister's wild partying.

"We fight all the time," Simpson admitted. "That's the thing about when you love someone so much - you can hate them as much, but it makes love so much better. I am what I am and I love him no matter what. And I think that 'no matter what' is what makes you a good wife." Lachey added, "It's all about compromise. You have two people with different expectations, and you have to work through it."

The source claims that if Simpson's handlers, namely her father Joe, try to lowball him, "He'll threaten to write a tell-all book about his marriage to Jessica." A source close to the couple said, "The marriage is on life support. Right now I think it only exists as a promotional vehicle for their careers."

November 17, 2005 - Jessica Simpson, who joins her sister Ashlee on the cover of the new issue of Teen People, tells the magazine that she has dealt with all the craziness, marital rumors and other pressures in her life by going to therapy. "Yes, I have. I respect knowledge of the psyche," Jessica said. "I would be a therapist (if I weren't an entertainer)." But she does admit that the stress has taken its toll, telling Teen People, "... my body language has changed lately -- I've been hunched over a bit, and I know why. November 17, 2005 - ContactMusic.com reports that Jessica Simpson is under fire for interrupted a 10-day charity visit to Kenya for Operation Smile and taking a $1,500 safari, despite insisting she was too ill to visit local children. "Jessica got sick, like people do, and couldn't get out of bed," said a representative for the charity, which repairs facial deformities in children. But a source at the hotel Simpson was staying at insisted, "Simpson was not ill, no doctor was called out to see her." Read more.
