February 21, 2006 - The New York Post reports David LaChapelle is still so furious at Jessica and Ashlee Simpson for pulling out of a Rolling Stone photo shoot last year that he's sent them a bill for $10,000 over the cancellation. But a source says the sisters and their father/manager Joe have no plans on paying the tab. "When [father] Joe saw the bill, he just laughed - the nerve of this guy! The shoot didn't go off because of him," the insider remarked.

February 21, 2006 - The New York Daily News reports that when 'American Idol' judge Simon Cowell was the fill-in co-host for Regis Philbin opposite Kelly Ripa on Friday, the music guru was talking about the lost whippet when he held up a photo of Jessica Simpson. "It looks a little bit like that, but with a collar," Cowell said. Ripa pasted a shocked grin on her face. "Joke, joke, Jessica," Cowell backtracked. "Jessica, you do not look like a whippet. At all. But your sister! ..." At which point Ripa advised, "You need to resuscitate your image."

February 21, 2006 - KISS 108 FM DJ Matt Siegel was emphatic that Jessica Simpson cheated on her then husband Nick Lachey with Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine after the station's KISS Concert 2004 on May 22nd at the Tweter Center near Boston. "Without a shadow of a doubt, confirmed, seen, double-checked, Jessica Simpson and [Levine]... 100 percent hooked up at the after party of KISS Concert 2004. Guaranteed. Hooked up. Biblical sense. Done." Photographer Andrew Sweeney added, "They were backstage flirting. He was touching her hand. And then they just leaned in and started going at it, making out. Not horribly, like teenage making out, but like adults, little kisses." The station's entertainment reporter Billy Costa added, "The word is they were pretty touchy-feely, and then someone spotted her going into his room." So why didn't it leak out in 2004? "She was married, and the people who saw it kept it confidential," said KISS roducer Barbara Sharnak. At the time of the show, Lachey was in Fiji with his brother Drew.

February 5, 2006 - The Associated Press reports Pizza Hut is showcasing the Muppets for an ad in Super Bowl XL after winning over viewers last year with an airborne Miss Piggy. The ad also features singer Jessica Simpson, who also appeared alongside the Jim Henson characters two years ago. Miss Piggy and Simpson will wear matching outfits. "The Muppets bring a wink and a smile to it," says Tom James, chief marketing officer for Pizza Hut. "It's pizza after all   it's not something that serious. It's about fun and enjoyment."
