June 25, 2006 - A source tells Us Weekly that when Kellie Pickler conducted red carpet interviews at the MTV Movie Awards earlier this month for 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno', the 19-year old 'American Idol' finalist tried to get Jessica Simpson's attention but was ignored. "(Kellie) waved for (Jessica) to come over, but Simpson ignored her," the source revealed. During the 'Idol' finals, Pickler was compared to Simpson because her sweet southern style and ditzy demeanor mimicked Jessica on 'Newlyweds'.

June 25, 2006 - Jay Leno joked during his Tonight Show monologue on Friday night, "Some showbiz gossip. Life & Style weekly says that Nick Lachey tried to reconcile with Jessica Simpson by offering to charter a jet and fly them to Hawaii together. But she turned him down. Yeah, she said she doesn't want to leave the country."

June 25, 2006 - What started as a client-clientele friendship nearly a decade ago has blossomed into a tremendously strong bond and friendship between Jessica Simpson and hairstylist Ken Paves. "After 8 years, we're incredibly great friends," Paves revealed to 'Extra' correspondent Dayna Devon. Asked what the favorite look he created for the singer, Paves said, "My favorite look that I've created of all time is actually the 2003 Video Music Awards for Jessica. "They definitely shared a room," a source revealed. "They went up there with a posse, and the posse left shortly thereafter." It's news that won't be welcome to Jessica Simpson. Minnillo regularly invited her to "girls' nights out" and dinners. A source revealed that "when Jess and Nick were falling apart, Jess confided to Vanessa," and Minnillo urged her to leave the former 98 Degrees singer.

June 13, 2006 - TMZ reports Jessica Simpson has offered Nick Lachey what is an "insulting" property settlement offer, banking on the assumption that Lachey does not want to press the matter in court. Multiple sources connected with the former couple revealed that although Lachey is entitled to have of their marital assets, Simpson offered less than $1.5 million to settle the division of property. June 13, 2006 - Star magazine reports that when Jessica Simpson visited Kitson boutique in Los Angeles last week, the singer/actress picked up "Team Jessica" T-shirts in a bid to keep up with sales of the "Team Nick" T-shirts. "Jess saw the stack of 'Team Nick' T-shirts was much lower than hers," a source told the magazine. "Nick's T-shirts outsell hers 40 to 1. She said, 'I'm going to wear this.' ... She was kind of sniffling, like she was going to cry." Simpson splurged $10,000 during shopping spree.
