Forget Enterprise, Jolene Blalock crashed on to the screen of red blooded men with her appearance in the October 2001 issue of Maxim. The carefully placed hair over a nearly nude Jolene has made her one of the hottest web searches overnight.

Blalock was born and raised in San Diego on March 5, 1975, where she began her quest for acting in her school's drama class in the 6th grade. Jolene revealed, "Our drama teacher was our history teacher as well. And basically, for the kids who couldn't be cheerleaders and couldn't [do] extracurricular activities - track or whatever - just throw them in drama. They'll work something out there. I found in drama that I could do things and not have to wonder why I'm doing it, because it's there on the page and I can create this character and I don't have to question why is she doing this and is it okay." School wasn't without drama though, as Blalock admits, "I was an acidhead and a pot smoker. There was this one time some friends and I were ditching off campus at lunch. We didn't make it back in time, and school officials found us smoking weed in a van around the corner. I was so stoned that when they started taking names I said mine was April June. It didn't even dawn on me that that was just two months put together." At 18 years old and after her boyfriend cheated on her and she had nowhere to go, a friend gave Jolene a businesscard and she went off to model in Europe and Asia, but was brought back near home a few years later to do additional modeling in Los Angeles. After getting a few commercials to boot, she was encouraged to venture into acting. Blalock's acting interest had her studying under the Terri Berlin Theatrical Workshop in Los Angeles as well as stints in Toronto.

Jolene's acting roles got off to a modest start with guest appearances in several short-lived TV series including Veronica's Closet, The Love Boat: The Next Wave, and D.C. In 2000 she bumped it up a notch getting a role in the top drama C.S.I. while also appearing in a starring role in the TV mini-series Jason and the Argonauts. From there came her breakout role as a series regular in Enterprise. Cast in 2001 as the Vulcan Subcommander T'Pol , Blalock landed her first credible role. While still not having done any movie roles, her popularity and ability to adapt as a Vulcan as opposed to the stereotypical bikini-clad babe no doubt will get the actress a few chances at the big screen soon.

Besides Maxim, Jolene's other brush with the news headlines was her arrest with then boyfriend Edward Furlong, by West Hollywood Police on September 25, 2001. Jolene explained the incident saying, "I let him borrow my car. I have a '63 Buick Premiere that's my baby. The registration got lost in the post or something and the tax ran out. It ended up getting impounded when he was driving it so he got arrested. Then after work I met my assistant at a club and we were there for an hour and Ed called and I asked him to come over. When we went to leave we were bombarded by press who were chasing us to the car. We unlocked the doors, got in the car and drove off straight into an accident with some Japanese people. We were trading information but then the cops pulled up and took him away." Since then, Jolene has moved on to an unnamed boyfriend whom she describes as a Canadian living in London. No word if she's still dating him, but she gave insite on what type of guys she might want to get naked with revealing, "I like men who are very cool but also so brilliant that they are almost insane. Sean Penn, Gary Oldman, Tom Waits-men who would be flipping burgers if they hadn't found an outlet for their brilliant mind-sets. I also like men who have hands with big masculine veins that you can squish and move." She also tells Maxim what she doesn't like.. "The element of surprise. You know, seeing the goods for the first time. I can't just go around pants-checking guys, but it's really important. Check the equipment before you fall in love." And what type of date would Blalock be, "It would have to be smoking first, then sex, then vodka. Oh no. Hang on a minute. Vodka, then sex, then smoking. Isn't that the order in which they normally happen [laughs]." Somehow I don't think any guy would care which order, even if he hated smokers!

December 18, 2005 - Jolene Blalock attended the 3rd Annual "Young Hollywood" Holiday Party in West Hollywood, California on December 6th. ShootingStar has since removed the images.

January 17, 2005 - Jolene Blalock tells Playboy magazine that Farrah Fawcett has had too much plastic surgery. "Farrah Fawcett overdid it," Blalock told the February issue of the mag. "Why can she only move one side of her face? Whenever she smiles, she turns in complete profile to the side that can smile." Read more.

December 20, 2004 - Jolene Blalock is featured on Jimmy Kimmel Live's Non-Denominational All-Star Celebrity Holiday Special on Wednesday (December 22).

August 23, 2004 - Jolene Blalock is featured on the cover of the September issue of Stuff.

March 25, 2004 - Police sources tell the show 'Celebrity Justice' that 47-year-old Thomas Murphy has been sending Jolene Blalock scary love letters and making harassing phone calls, leaving messages like, "We're meant to be together." Blalock hired a security consultant and Murphy is being held at an Indianapolis hospital for mental evaluation.

September 12, 2003 - On his show on Thursday, Howard Stern brought up how Scott the Engineer is a fan of the ''Star Trek Enterprise'' series and in one of the new episodes, Jolene Blalock just about shows her whole chest. Scott came in and told Howard how flat her stomach was and how she practically showed her whole breast from the side. She was topless but covered her breasts with her arms in one shot. Howard asked Scott a little bit about the show and goofed on him in the process. Scott told Howard why Blalock's character got topless in the scene. Scott seemed to enjoy the scene very much. Howard took a call from a guy who said there was a butt crack shot in the scene as well. Scott said he must have missed that somehow. Howard made a comment about how Scott must have been ''cleaning up'' at that point.

June 25, 2003 - WENN reports Jolene Blalock was so convinced her boyfriend would agree to marry her, she arranged the ceremony for the day after she proposed to him. Blalock married Michael Rapino at the end of April, while the couple were vacationing in Jamaica. And she admits she never doubted he'd agree to become her husband - even though others weren't quite so convinced her 24 hour engagement would work out. Blalock revealed, "Little did my husband know we were all planning a surprise wedding. Everyone knew - his family, my family, the hotel, the wedding planner, everyone but him. I proposed to him the evening before on both knees and he said yes. When I let him know that the ceremony was at 6.15 the next evening, he was like 'Oh.' The owner of the bungalow we were staying in kept coming up to me and saying, 'What if he says no?' I was like, 'What do you care, you still get your check.' He said, `Would you like a taxi standing by just in case?'"

May 22, 2003 - Jolene Blalock joined Extra TV at the Hollywood and Highland entertainment complex. Asked about the sexual tension between Jolene and the Captain, Jolene confided, "You know what, I don't see that it would be in the best interest of the show or even the viewers and the audience for us to have an ongoing relationship." June 2, 2002 - Chaunce Hayden of Steppin' Out Magazine talked with Enterprise star Linda Park who talked about her relationship with co-star Jolene Blalock. Park said, "I think we have a great relationship. As the show has gone on, we've been able get closer. There are so many guys around us all the time and it's such a testosterone-based set, it's very calming to have another female there who I can look over to and say, 'Okay, good, there's another female here.' She has a very calming energy about her. There's really no competition between us, and to be honest, that even surprises me."

May 18, 2002 - Jolene Blalock was on the Howard Stern Show on Friday to talk about the TV show 'Enterprise'. Howard quizzed Jolene on who she's dating and Jolene said she's dating the CEO of Clear Channel Entertainment (which would be Brian Becker). Jolene says she's happy on the show and is tied up with it for the next couple of years. Later, Jolene was quizzed on whether her boobs were real - she said she had a boob job about 10 years ago, when she was about 17. April 19, 2002 - Maxim magazine has listed Jolene Blalock as number 10 on their 'Hot 100' for 2002. Topping the list was Jennifer Garner from Alias.

April 6, 2002 - BeThere.TV has a video clip of Jolene on the set of her Maxim photo shoot. Hot!!! The site has since shut down.

March 27, 2002 - Jolene Blalock was on KTLA recently to talk about her character in Star Trek and her Maxim photo shoot.

February 25, 2002 - Jolene was on an MTV special 'What A Guy Wants'. Jolene posed a bunch of sex related questions to David Wells, Carson Daly, Dave Chappelle, Bubba Sparxxx, and AJ Benza. Jolene also revealed she dated Steve Summers, a member of the band Sprung Monkey. The guys all had great things to say about her and that she can hang around and be one of the guys. Then they played a couple of outtakes of her screwing up her lines during her walking in part.

Febuary 21, 2002 - Ain't It Cool News and IMDB.com both list Jennifer Garner, who plays the ass kicking CIA agent in Alias, as the actress to play Elektra in the upcoming superhero flick, Daredevil.

February 21, 2002 - Rob Salem of the Toronto Star spoke with Jolene Blalock who was sporting dullish brown hair after an audition for what she revealed was Daredevil, with Ben Affleck, where she was going after the role of Elektra. TV tough-girls Jessica Alba and Jennifer Garner are her competition apparently. TheStar.com has since removed the article.
