Post reports Josh Hartnett and Leo DiCaprio are amongst the a-list actors
vying for the role to play drug-addled jazz legend Chet Baker in a biopic
based on James Gavin's "Deep in a Dream: The Long Night of Chet Baker."

1, 2002 - Variety reports the WB has picked up broadcast rights to "40
Days and 40 Nights," starring Josh Hartnett for $4 million-$5 million
to get three runs of the movie over three years beginning December 1, 2004.

reports Christina Ricci admits to having a mad crush on Josh Hartnett,
so much so that she once fantasized that she was sent to jail and Josh
was the prison guard assigned to escort her to the shower for security
reasons. At first he reached out his hand to me," said Ricci. "I thought
he liked me. But then he told me he only wanted to be friends."

Post reports Josh Hartnett's girlfriend Ellen Fenster, rejected a $3,000
platinum and diamond necklace in the estate jewelry department at ABC Carpet
& Home saying it was too expensive. "She totally shot him down. Apparently
she doesn't want him spending the money on her," said a source. Later Josh
went to the Eziba shop and bought matching Moroccan necklace and earrings
which were more modestly priced.

and a little girl and boy came running over. I had my hat pulled down low,
and the girl stared at me for a minute, then said, 'Are you really him?'
I crouched won and whispered into her ear, 'Yeah, I'm really him! But it's
a secret!' 'OK', she said, then turned and screamed, 'Mom! Dad! It's Heath
Ledger' Of course my buddies loved that."
