talked to Entertainment Weekly about Pop saying, "We took it to where we
think music is going. It's more futuristic. It's like R&B twice as
fast. It's like house-dance meets R&B." EW also reports *NSYNC turned
down a Michael Jackson request to donate the song 'Gone' to his long-awaited
album instead of Celebrity.

29, 2001 - Justin Timberlake is featured here in an autographed photo auction
on ebay. The 8x10 photo, item #1427338521, is unbid at $19.99 and the auction
ends May 5th.

reports Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears plan on getting married when
they turned 25.
April 22, 2001 - *NSYNC appeared
on the Nickelodean Kid's Choice Awards to taunt show host Rosie O'Donnell
into sliming them, and after penetrating their 'force field' she eventually
did.
April 21, 2001 - The Star
reports *NSYNC gave free tickets to 10 high-school girls who had bought
fake tickets to their last show to a Beverly Hills charity event the band
performed in. Celebs were shelling out $10-25 thousand for tables at the
show.
April 20, 2001 - PBS Frontline
did a special this week on The Merchants of Cool and focused on MTV and
TRL, quoting New York Times music critic Ann Powers as saying, "For the
Backstreet Boys, for *NSYNC--whose image is all tied up with whether they're
number one versus even number two, when number two is seen as a failure
for an artist--that's a lot about TRL. The whole idea that you can sell
so many millions of albums and still be considered kind of a flop, well,
that's very much of this era and I think Total Request Live has completely
intensified that." PBS will re-air the eye-opening special May 1st.

previewed for an appearance on Access Hollywood on Friday.
April 20, 2001 - Jane magazine
reports *NSYNC's price for a personal appearance is at a hefty $1 million.
April 19, 2001 - The Smoking
Gun uncovered
the baby gift list for Joey Fatone and Kelly Baldwin, which will be provided
by JC Penney. Smoking Gun’s William Bastone told MSNBC later, "Something
tells me that if Britney and Justin have a kid, he or she won’t be outfitted
by Penney’s. Does Donatella Versace do an infant line?"
April 19, 2001 - *NSYNC recently
were in Los Angeles to do a cover shoot for Rolling Stone as the band will
appear in the magazine when Celebrity is released late June.

"Brach's candy company introduces *NSYNC Hot Hits, a brand new fruit snake.
The candy comes in the shapes of musical notes, the *NSYNC logo, and juice-filled
hearts, each sporting one of the group members names."
April 18, 2001 - MTV reports
*NSYNC and Britney Spears will join Michael Jackson for a massive concert
tribute at New York's Madison Square Garden on September 7th. The taped-nose
one admitted, "I am very excited to celebrate my 30th anniversary as a
solo artist with such a distinguished array of talent, friends and fans."

April 17, 2001 - Justin and

Britain's Sunday People fell for the fictional internal Jive memo composed

April 15, 2001 - *NSYNC appeared
via satellite on an MTV at Your House special this weekend and judged lip-synchers
who sang clips from various *NSYNC songs. Later, O-Town showed up in Indiana
where the show took place and there were no words shared with the two rival
groups.
April 14, 2001 - Chris Kirkpatrick
told MTV News' Chris Connelly at the Blockbuster Entertainment Awards that
they are playing songs off the new album before it is released because,

reports Justin Timberlake was spotted arriving at Jackson's famous Neverland
Valley ranch recently (this time minus Britney) to discuss a collaboration.

April 11, 2001 - Lance Bass
talked about *NSYNC's upcoming album Celebrity during a Much Music appearance
where he revealed the first single release is likely to be an up tempo

April 11, 2001 - MTV's Ray
Munns was on the Big Show with Adam Paul where he said that he'd rather
be in *NSYNC than 98 Degrees because he wasn't buff enough to be in 98
Degrees. Ray also said Justin Timberlake was his favorite 'lead singer'
and talked about meeting him at the VMAs and how they hit it off. Hear

April 11, 2001- Jacob from
O-Town is threatening *NSYNC for comments Lance Bass made about the group.
Jacob says, "I think it's really bold of him to open his mouth and start
shooting off about us because he knows where we came from and we're working
with the same people that put *NSYNC together." Read more.

York Post's Liz Smith reports Justin Timberlake received a seven-figure
contract to write his first novel, Crossover Dribble. The book should be
out spring 2002.

Mike Walker was on Howard Stern today and his fake headline was "Britney

Four Seasons hotel to have some fun. Justin was whispering sweet-nothings
in her ear when Brit's phone rang. Her answering machine picked up and
it was her mother asking if the anti-fungal cream had worked. Britney then
said 'No wonder I'm still a virgin!'"
April 6, 2001 - *NSYNC has
rescheduled or cancelled some of their shows for their upcoming tour now
set to kick-off Friday, May 18 at Alltel Pavilion in Jacksonville Florida.

Walls reports Justin Timberlake is shopping around a proposal and a sample
chapter of a fictional sports thriller to be called Justin Timberlake’s
Cross-over Dribble, according to a publishing source. A source told her
"It’s really pretty good. It’s quite engaging."
April 5, 2001 - The National
Post of Canada reports Joey Fatone was spotted "playing tonsil hockey"
with Minnie Driver Saturday night at Toronto's club Fluid.
April 5, 2001 - REM's Michael
Stipe is taking shots at the top pop artists and includes Eminem in the
bunch telling NME, "One of the great things about being around as long
as we have is you watch stuff come and go," Stipe told NME.COM. "It's there,
it serves its purpose, it's gone. I really like the disposable pop music
that's prevalent on American pop radio: *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys and
Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera and Eminem." Asked to comment if
Em just like the other bands mentioned, he said, "Very much...It's no less
packaged."
April 5, 2001 - With both
Britney and Justin in Ted Casablanca's home turf of LA, the E! Online gossip
man is dishing the dirt on Justin apparently owning a house right near
Britney's new pad, which incidently was just swept for bugs and wires.

reports Britney Spears is again denying rumors that she is planning to
marry boyfriend, Justin Timberlake.
April 4, 2001 - Popular German
website Giga.de is reporting rumors that Britney Spears may be pregnant.
Britney has been wearing looser blouses lately and has been buying jeans
two sizes larger than normal, according to spies. Eye-witnesses also claim
her and Justin were spotted paging through a catalog looking at baby furniture.

Law School professor Alan Dershowitz commented on Danielle McGruire's lawsuit
against Justin Timberlake to Spin magazine saying, "These guards think
they're the Gestapo. They have no right beyond immediate self-defense.
I'd settle that one and fire the security guard."
April 4, 2001 - The New York
Daily News reveals Britney was being 'Bratney' to her fans at the Family
Celebration Sunday, refusing to sign autographs for anybody except Sugar
Ray Leonard, as Justin graciously signed autographs and allowed pictures
to be taken by anyone with a camera. Rude Britney also was reportedly talking
loudly at her table during a musical performance by Ray Charles.
April 4, 2001 - MTVasia.com
reports a Jive Records spokesperson is saying *NSYNC's first single is
expected to be out by the end of this month and promises it will be an

April 3, 2001 - TRL announced
Monday that *NSYNC's new album will be called Celebrity and will be released
on June 26th. No word yet on a release date for the first single and video.
