and Justin Timberlake are teaming up with maths website, MathMastery.com
and the Giving Back Fund in order to produce the MathNMusic a club based
around internet learning aids for kids. So far nothing to see on the site
yet as plans are not yet finalized.

31, 2001 - *NSYNC, Faith Hill and Britney Spears will be among the artists
reading prayers by Pope John Paul on a spoken-word CD coming out in North
America during the Christmas season.
May 31, 2001 - The July Seventeen
mag, on sale June 8, will offer a gatefold cover of *NSYNC and interviews,
promoting their new CD.
May 30, 2001 - The New York
Post reports Lance Bass was spotted on top of the bar at Brother Jimmy's
BBQ at 77th and Second in New York, pouring shots and kissing girls.
May 29, 2001 - MTV premiered
the Making the Video for Pop on Monday. Included in the show were shots
of Joey's leg injury and Wade Robson getting made up to look like Joey.
May 28, 2001 - We're getting
reports from the JessicaCentral message board and ours that 98 Degrees,
Jessica Simpson, and Britney were at the *NSYNC show in Hershey, PA this
weekend.
May 27, 2001 - *NSYNC and
Fuji Film are out with a disposable *NSYNC camera featuring images of the
band on the packaging. The cameras will be sold at concerts along their
Popodyssey summer tour. A dollar from the sale of each camera will go toward
the band's Challenge for the Children charity.
May 27, 2001 - From Sonicnet:
"Pop also represents Justin Timberlake's unofficial ascension to group
leader. In addition to singing all the verses, he remained the focal point
for 'NSYNC's high-concept dance choreography throughout the song. Come
to think of it, he was center-stage throughout just about every song. He's
always been a fan favorite, but it looks like his bandmates are finally

teamed up with the Office Of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) to help
prevent drug use among young people in the U.S. Read more. May 27, 2001 - *NSYNC did
a spot for TRL's Retirement Home special on MTV Saturday where they thanked
fans for all the videos retired on MTV on location from their PopOdessey
tour.
May 26, 2001 - Jay Leno joked
on his monologue Friday, "Here's something interesting. I read this in
the paper today. Listen to this. What do you think of this? I guess when
Britney Spears goes on dates with her boyfriend, Justin Timberlake, her
mom sends along a bodyguard to make sure she stays a virgin. What is that
job like, huh? Is that like being in the secret service? Code four -- he's
going for the panties. I'm moving in. He's going for the panties. I'm moving
in. Moving in now. Yeah, yeah."
May 26, 2001 - Conan O'Brien
joked on during his monologue Friday, "In a recent interview, true story,
Britney Spears said that she loves her boyfriend Justin Timberlake, but
she wants to remain a virgin until she gets married. True story. Yeah,
Timberlake was unavailable for comment because he was busy packing his
testicles in ice. He said he'd get back to us. Use scotch tape. Lots of
packing tape. All right."
May 26, 2001 - Britney Spears
is featured on the cover of US Weekly where she tells Todd Gold, "I like
the sweet drinks, but I don't always like the way I feel the next day"
but she says she doesn't smoke. Britney also addresses the virgin issue
saying, "Have we had sex?" she says. "That's something that, you know,
I'd like to keep personal... I want to wait to have sex until I'm married.
I do. I want to wait. But it's hard." Regarding marriage, Britney says,
"I think we have so much growing to do as people before we decide something
like that. Why rush? Who knows where I'll be when I'm 24? I think you get
married when you decide to have children, and that's away down the line
for me." US Weekly says Britney has gotten a second tattoo recently of
a
daisy on her toe.
May 26, 2001 - US Weekly's
celebrity fashion police blasted *NSYNC's outfits at the Blockbuster Awards
with comedian Jim David saying, "They'd be stoned to death at the Grand
Ole Opry." Comedian Goumba Johnny adds, "The 'we lost our luggage look."
MTV's Dave Holmes says, "Next time they come to the MTV studios, we're
going to have a little 'N-tervention." Comedian Matt Weinhold makes the
comparison, "The Mandress sisters suffer through menopause."
May 25, 2001 - The Sun reports
Britney Spears is reaffirming the fact that she is still a virgin and plans
on remaining one telling them, My views on virginity have not changed.
I want to wait to have sex until I'm married. I do. I want to wait. But
it's hard. I just want to live my life." Spears added, "Justin makes me
laugh. I'm very in love. He's such a beautiful person - inside and out
- and we have so much fun together."
May 25, 2001 - Lance Bass
was interviewed on TRL Thursday where he revealed the likely answer as
to why their tour started so far ahead of Celebrity's release, saying a
stadium tour had to be finished before the NFL season started.

to its teen audience, but a source tells her the ad played regularly before
a broadcast of Bow Down Backstreet II on Direct TV’s porn channel.

Voice's Michael Musto talked to Lou Pearlman about his current relationship
with *NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys where he says there's no hard feelings
between him and the two groups, "No, that was several years ago, we're

Fantasy Phone and CD-ROM is due to hit stores in September where players
ages 8-12 to compete for a virtual backstage pass by successfully completing

Daily News reports Joey Fatone taken to a hospital in New Orleans last
weekend after injuring his leg in a rehearsal, but after getting stitched
up, he was able to make the flight to LA with the band as they filmed the
video for Pop. Late Tuesday, *NSYNC returned to Orlando.
May 18, 2001 - *NSYNC has
cancelled the first of its three shows (May 30th) at Foxboro Stadium, as
the band won't have time to set up its massive stage because of a concert
festival scheduled on May 26th.

reports Lance Bass insisting that *NSYNC is not a pop band saying, "I think

about how the Backstreet Boys laid paved the way for boy and girl bands
saying, "I remember in 1992 in Birmingham, England, they opened for me,
and I remember going through Europe and seeing these guys do malls and
their little routines when it was a handful of people in front of them.
If anybody worked for this sh** and deserves it, they do. *NSYNC and Christina
Aguilera and all, they just came in on the coattails, man; these boys broke
the damn thing open. They certainly deserve everything, and I respect them

May 12, 2001 - *NSYNC debuted
most of their first single off Celebrity on TRL today. The guys performed
2 minutes, 20 seconds of Pop.

*NSYNC weekend (July 21-22). In addition, *NSYNC will perform "Pop" on
The Rosie O'Donnell Show (6/5), The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, (7/23)

to spot the guys while they are in town.

show a sneak preview of the video for Pop and field questions.

MSN is aggressively marketing their *NSYNC affiliation as banners for the

that Celebrity has been pushed out until July 17th and the first single

containing love letters between the two.

the planned movie Grease 3 by the members of *NSYNC have been shelved.
Lance talked about not doing a movie featuring the entire band saying,
"I think if you had all five guys of 'NSYNC, people really wouldn't take
the movie seriously. This way, there's a couple of us in it [in On The
