January 29, 2002 - The Las
Vegas Review Journal reports *NSYNC's Lance Bass was amongst the celebrities
at the grand opening of Light, a new nightclub at the Bellagio. Others
on hand included Tara Reid, David Spade, Sting, Leonardo DiCaprio and newly
engaged Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards.

29, 2002 - MTV reports *NSYNC's Justin Timberlake, Brian McKnight and Jamie
Foxx will join hoops stars and legends (including former LA Laker great
Earvin "Magic" Johnson) in the inaugural 989 Sports' All-Star Hoop-It-Up
tournament. The games, which will put a celebrity, an NBA star, a WNBA
star and an NBA legend on each team, will be held at the First Union Center
in Philadelphia on February 9 during the NBA's All-Star Weekend.
January 29, 2002 - SFX has
the latest on the *NSYNC 2002 Celebrity tour. The groups ticket price range
of $39-$110 seems quite high if fan reaction is any indication. Check out

writes "*NSYNC's Justin Timberlake and girlfriend Britney Spears were seen
departing a private airport in Chicago late last week for the Caribbean
island of St.Thomas to spend a vacation for Justin's 21st birthday and
ahead of Britney's movie release."
January 27, 2002 - Jonathan
Takiff of the Philadelphia Daily News profiled the continuing tend of pop
stars crossing over into film. Takiff examined the successes and failures
of Mandy Moore, Eminem, Mariah Carey, *NSYNC, Britney Spears, and Madonna.
Takiff said, "Even though 'Glitter' and 'On the Line' bombed badly at the
box office and soundtrack chart, and the advance word on Spears' road trip
isn't promising much besides the chance to see the pop queen in a wet T-shirt,
these low-budget films are all likely to recoup their relatively slight
investments through home video, airline and TV showings." Read more.
January 25, 2002 - People
magazine reports that during the filming of *NSYNC's commercial for Chili's
restaurants, the group almost had to have a fill in for Justin Timberlake
ala Wade Robson for Joey Fatone during the 'Pop' video. Apparently Justin
was held up at the Nassau airport causing the commercial's director Rob
Pritts to go on a frantic manhunt for a replacement. Just as the Justin
lookalike was ready, Justin ended up making it to the set.
January 25, 2002 - Splash
has photos of *NSYNC's JC Chasez and new girlfriend - actress Emmanuelle
Chriqui, having lunch at trendy cafe 'Lulus' in Beverly Hills. The couple

January 24, 2002 - Radio
1 spoke with Christina Milian about working with *NSYNC where the young
singer admitted, "Yes, I had a lot of fun. I got to hang out with them,
they're goofy guys. One thing I admire is how humble they've stayed with
all the success and everything. They're just cool guys. I built a great
fan-base from that tour, we were doing stadiums of 60,000 to 120,000 every

January 24, 2002 - Billboard
reports *NSYNC have announced an initial list of 5 concert stops that begin
March 3 in Portland. The Portland show goes on sale Friday through Ticketmaster,
while seats for a March 8 performance in San Jose, Calif., a March 10 gig
in San Diego, and an April 2 concert in Auburn Hills, Mich., go on sale

Tacoma Dome go on sale Friday.
January 24, 2002 - Brittany
Candrian of BYU Newsnet reports BYU student and songwriter Clinton Poulsen
has accused *NSYNC's Justin Timberlake of stealing parts of his song 'See
Right Through You' and putting it on the group's "Celebrity" album bearing
the same title. Poulson claims, "We had some experts analyze the song and
there's no doubt in their minds that he definitely took parts of my song
and put it in his." Read more.
January 24, 2002 - America
Online today announced that they've formed an alliance with $NSYNC (Needlessly
Screwing Your Naive Children) which will bring exclusive content of the
group to paying AOL members. JC Cha$ez said of the alliance, "To be working
with AOL provides a great opportunity to build a stronger connection to
our fans around the world. There are so many amazing opportunities ahead
of us, and together with AOL, we are bringing more of this excitement to
our fans with online chats, concert tickets and previews of music and videos."
This move follows their previous alliance with Chili's, where the group
agreed to provide a new $logan for the restaurant chain in exchange for
Chili's financially backing the upcoming $NSYNC (Nagging Slogans for Yet
N'other Corporation) 'Celebrity' Tour. Read more.
January 23, 2002 - The Las
Vegas Sun's Kate Maddox reports *NSYNC was so impressed with the original
hair care products of Vegas stylist William Whatley, who provided hair
advice at the American Music Awards, that they've signed Whatley as the
official hair-care product for the group's upcoming tour.
January 23, 2002 - *NSYNC's
Justin Timberlake explained the group's decision to star in a series of
commercials for Chili's Grill & Bar, a move continuing the heavily
commercialized group's coroporate alliances. Justin said, "The Chili's
team gave us creative license to take their Baby Back Ribs jingle and make
it feel like our own version with our own kind of sound. We really worked
hard to create an incredible jingle and music for the commercials and we
think our fans will really enjoy them." Not coincidentally, Chili's will
be the lead sponsor of the band's next concert tour.
January 23, 2002 - A Justin
Timberlake fan on the message board recounted her experience at the Bob
Hope Chrysler Classic, contrary to earlier negative reports about the *NSYNC
member. Lashaunda says teenybopper girls screaming at Justin caused a disruption
on the course when he waved at them, and if he didn't, they yelled out
insults. She also said men were shouting mean comments whenever he made
a bad shot.
January 22, 2002 - Earlier
we had reported that the Backstreet Boys had overtaken *NSYNC in internet
searches on pay-per search engine FindWhat by a wide margin. Well turns
out *NSYNC has retained their lead on the larger Goto.com, with *NSYNC
searches at 226,491 and Backstreet Boys searches at 201,766. Why the discrepencies?
Likely because Goto affiliates with AOL, which has a high percentage of
US users, while Findwhat probably has a more international user base. Read

January 22, 2002 - During
Britney Spears visit to France over the weekend, the singer was on Britain's
ITV Saturday morning music show "CD:UK" that she and *NSYNC's Just Timberlake
will marry. Britney said to host Cat Deeley, "It will happen some time
in the future, but not this year."
January 21, 2002 - The latest
poll at popdirt.com has NsyncWorld.com and NSYNCStudio.com nominated for
"Which pop star's fan site is the best on the net?" Vote for your favorite

January 21, 2002 - In an
abstracts.net poll asking 'Have *NSYNC waited too long to release a follow
up video to Pop?', 60.6% said no while 39.4% said yes, with 1007 total
votes.
January 20, 2002 - Allpop's
Stephanie McGrath spoke with horeographer, producer, and writer Wade Robson
on working with Britney Spears and *NSYNC. Wade talked about creating 'Gone'
with Justin Timberlake revealing, "We just really clicked musically right
away. I'd be sitting at the keyboard playing something and he'd start to
say 'Go and do this', and I'd be doing it. [We were] finishing each other's

Spears spoke with reporters at a news conference to promote her new album
and film where she admits, "I wish I'd never said anything about being
a virgin now." As for her relationship with *NSYNC's Justin Timberlake,
Britney said the two plan to marry "in the future" but she's too busy on

fan of the Backstreet Boys and apparently a fan no longer of *NSYNC's Justin
blasted Timberlake revealing, "After we watched AJ do his thing we decided
to go chase Justin Timberlake down and he pissed me off so bad that I called
him a di**head to his face. Justin turned around and just glared at me.
I gave him a stupid look right back and said 'Yeah, that's right. I called

of the Backstreet Boys and apparently a huge fan of A.J. McLean posted
the details of her meeting with the singer at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic
on Friday. BSBgirl11984 said AJ "better stick to singing. Golfing isn't
his strong point. The poor boy hit more trees then a monkey swings on in
a lifetime." She added, "I still am so glad that I got to meet AJ, and
truly stare at him for about seven hours straight. And he was standing

reports endorsement loving *NSYNC is at it again as the group will appear
in three new TV ads for Chili's. The group's rendition of the Baby Back
Ribs jingle will debut during the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, Austin-based
GSD&M announced Thursday. GSD&M, Chili's ad firm, created the jingle
in 1995. This will be the first time the restaurant chain will use celebrities
in their ads. This won't be the first time *NSYNC will promo a restaurant,
having done McDonalds commercials in the past.
January 18, 2002 - E! Online's
Ted Casablanca repots *NSYNC's JC Chasez was spotted partying at the Sunset
Room in Los Angeles following the American Music Awards. Ted says JC was
"surrounded by many gal-pals and one superbeefy bouncer." The openly gay
writer claimed, "JC proved he's definitely the cutest boy bander in the
bunch--this week, at least."
January 18, 2002 - This so
far is unconfirmed and based on a message board posting from a friend of
Chris Kirkpatrick's mother, but word is that Joey Fatone's girlfriend Kelly
Baldwin and mother to his baby daughter Brianna was involved in a fatal
auto crash today. Kelly is reportedly OK but her friend Bianca, died and
her friend Felisha is in the hospital and not doing well. The *NSYNC star
is said to be really shooken up and is scared over the incident that apparently

January 18, 2002 - The Globe
reports that during Britney Spears and her *NSYNC boyfriend Justin Timberlake's
trip to a gay club in New York, a bunch of lesbian women were giving Britney
the eye. A witness said, "She was fantastic. She was getting a lot of attention
from the girls and a lot of them were flirting with her. Obviously, she
wasn't interested. Still, she was really nice to everybody who came up
to her. But there was this huge lesbian girl who kept staring at her. When
she made a move toward her, Britney's bodyguards immediately intervened."
January 18, 2002 - Brian
McKnight talked with MuchMusic about his recent collaborations outside
of the R&B genre which he says make him more than a R&B singer.
McKnight said of working with the *NSYNC star on 'Superhero', "Justin wasn't
necessarily new territory cause I've had a lot of pop success. I think
that even [working] with Nate Dogg, I just wanted to get together with
some of my friends and find associations that when you saw it on paper
and it says Brian McKnight and...but when you hear the song you're like
'ahhh! I get it'."
January 17, 2002 - NSYNC's
JC Chasez is currently dating bandmate Lance Bass' leading lady from his
movie 'On the Line', Canadian actress Emanuelle Chiriqui. The two met on
the set when JC was filming his later removed appearance in the movie and
they "hit it off really well," but at the time JC was still dating his
ex, J-14 writer Bobbie Thomas. They were seen together at a restaurant
in New York City recently, in addition to sitting together at the People's
Choice Awards, which has fueled speculation that the two are an item.
January 17, 2002 - According
to a recent interview with soul singer Angie Stone in a recent MTV interview
revealed some news on Justin Timberlake solo project: "Justin [Timberlake]
and I hit it off," she said, smiling. "Justin loves the Mahogany Soul album.
While we were doing the Billboard Music Awards, he was singing 'More Than
a Woman' and 'Pissed Off' during the soundcheck. He's going, 'Your CD's
in my car right now, you have to work on my solo project.' I saw him in

Gray of Zap2it.com spoke with *NSYNC's Chris Kirkpatrick and JC outside
the Peopel's Choice Awards on Sunday where they addressed the controversy
that the guys would be in the new Star Wars flick, 'Attack of the Clones'.
Chris explains, "You know, we were little kids with the light sabers running
around, and it was real flattering to even just be at the ranch and hanging
out. And I'm sure that if anybody who is as big a Star Wars fan as us if
not bigger would have gotten the same opportunity, they would have taken

Spears tells the new issue of Cosmo that she appears on the cover of that
after she saw her boyfriend Justin Timberlake in the *NSYNC video for Gone
the first time, she was "devastated" over the watching her boyfriend make
out with the woman on the video. Britney said, "You could have just taken
a knife and stabbed me." Apparently, Britney was so upset when she saw
the video that she stormed into a bathroom and didn't speak to anyone for
a while. Eventually, she and Justin talked it over and decided that the
best solution was for her not to watch videos that upset her.

at the Grammy Awards with rapper Nelly, where the two acts will team up

Sunday night where they told Access Hollywood details about their Star
Wars film experience. While they said they've heard about the Saturday
Night Live skit about their possible Star Wars cameo, they haven't seen
it. The guys explained, "We were actually up at the ranch editing our concert
special together. No, no, it's the truth. We ended up dropping into some
scenes and we don't know if it's gonna make it or not or whatever. We were
just kind of background."

Josh Hartnett's skits during last night's Saturday Night Live episode was
a skit goofing on the George Lucas decision to use *NSYNC in his new Star
Wars movie.
January 13, 2002 - Britney
Spears, *NSYNC, O-Town and LFO have cameo roles in the basketball-themed
movie Longshot which will be released straight to video on March 5. *NSYNC

turned pop label, Jive Records. Mystikal says their influence is great
for his publicity appearances, "I definitely don’t have a problem going

first time since February of 2000, the Backstreet Boys over overtaken *NSYNC
in search queries on seach engine Findwhat.com, and by a wide margin at
that. While pay-per-search king Overture.com's results are not yet available,
based on trends from November 2001, it isn't difficult to project they
also will reflect this change. For the month of December 2001, queries
for *NSYNC, NSYNC, 'NSYNC, etc. totaled approximately 32,000 searches while
Backstreet Boys, BSB, and Backstreetboys totaled around 49,000. Look for
an even wider margin in January with controversy surrounding Nick Carter

reports Britney Spears has been reading books and watching videotapes on
the art of lovemaking so that *NSYNC fiancee Justin Timberlake won't be
disappointed with her on their planned Valentine's Day wedding at Britney's
home near New Orleans. A pal of Britney told the tabloid, "Britney jokes
about not taking her sex books out of the house. She says, 'I don't want
Justin to know I'm learning to be a tiger in bed. I want it to be a surprise

John and *NSYNC's Justin Timberlake were on MTV's Total Request Live on
Friday where the pair premiered 'This Train Don't Stop There Anymore' and
quized each other. When asked what Justin's most prized possession was
by Elton, an audience member screamed 'Britney' causing Justin to blast,
"That's not a possesion, you don't posses women, that's wrong man!" His
answer was "My voice."
January 12, 2002 - A seat
filler for the American Music Awards reported back from the Wednesday night
show and had more details on when the trio that represented the group went
to accept their award. The seat filler said, "When they won the award you
could tell he was shocked and I think sad to hear the booing, he didn't
know how to start accepting the award after hearing that. I was sad for
him. But I think Justin's comment lightened the mood, but JC and Chris
both kind of glared at him after he said it, in a not nice way WTF way."
She later added, "They did seem tense with each other, even before the
booing."

reports LucasFilm representatives say the decision as to whether to drop
*NSYNC from the 'Star Wars Episode 2: Attack Of The Clones' movie hasn't
been made yet. The decision is likely to be made on the final edit. Joey
Fatone had earlier commented that the decision had already been made to
drop the group's scene from the movie.

of USA Today talked with Elton John about *NSYNC's Justin Timberlake playing
a young Elton in his latest video 'This Train Don't Stop There Anymore'.
John hinted that Justin may be in line to star in his biopic saying, "I
think it's far more interesting watching Justin Timberlake play me than

Hollywood reported Thursday that to Britney Spears and *NSYNC boyfriend
Justin Timberlake are hosting a Super Bowl party February 3rd at Planet
Hollywood in New York City. Guests can bid on items like a cameo in Britney's
video. Proceeds benefit the singers' respective charities.
January 11, 2002 - Access
Hollywood's Tony Potts talked with Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake
about the controversy going on with Michael Jackson and his appearances
on the American Music Awards and it's effect on a Grammy Award appearance.
Justin said, "We let the people who are political play the political game,
and we just do what we do." When Tony asked Britney Spears, she said, "I
think it is kind of cool that they separate the two so like that, you know.
If you perform on one, you shouldn't perform on the other, because they're
both amazing, and the audience wants to be surprised on each one." This
prompted her *NSYNC date Timberlake to say, "Another perspective... And
that's the way we see it."
January 10, 2001 - NSYNC
won the American Music Award Wednesday for Favorite Pop/Rock Band, Duo
or Group but Justin Timberlake made a bit of a faux pas that probably upset
AMA chief Dick Clark when he told the crowd, "Oh, quit booing. U2's going
to get Grammys." Justin, don't plug the competing show, especially when
the two heads are at war with each other!!. JC and Chris told the crowd,
"Thank you, guys. Thank you, everybody. Record company, Johnny, our family,
God, the fans, thank you guys very much for supporting us. Thank you. God
bless you guys." Justin then hammed it up by approaching the mic and not
saying anything as girls in the audience screamed.

Mandalay Bay where they were overheard speculating, "Who would win a fight

will be on MTV's Total Request Live on Friday, January 11th to show his
new video 'This Train Don't Stop Here No More' for the 1st time. It's not
confirmed that *NSYNC's Justin Timberlake who plays a young Elton in the
video will be on there as they are still trying to work something out with

York Post spoke with charts guru for Billboard magazine Geoff Mayfield
who weighed in on the year end album sales figures which saw *NSYNC hit
the #3 spot with 'Celebrity' shipping 4.4 million units and Britney Spears'
'Britney' which sold 2.9 million to land at #14. Mayfield said, "Everyone's

and *NSYNC's Justin Timberlake arrived in Kentwood Christmas Eve and spent
most of the holidays there before departing to New York City. Britney will

of the Chicago Sun Times spoke with George Lucas' spokeswoman Lynne Hale
who admits *NSYNC boys went before Lucas' camera but the reports on the
internet that they'll be seen briefly as anonymous Jedi knights are just
rumor. Hale said, "We don't have any information on the scene."

joked during his Wednesday night monologue, "According to The New York
Post - and they're never wrong. George Lucas is giving the band *NSYNC
cameos in the upcoming 'Star wars' movie. Yeah, and apparently, there's
a reason for it. Apparently, Lucas cast *NSYNC because he wanted C-3PO
to look less gay."

York Post reports Britney Spears and *NSYNC's Justin Timberlake were spotted
bumping and grinding at Cheetah's Sunday night gay party, where they partied
it up until 4 a.m. The couple dropped by to celebrate the new release of
Inaya Day, "Can't Stop Dancing."

City at JFK airport. Behind 2 bodyguards they walked through another side
entrance to security holding hands followed by a few other people. Justin
was in front wearing jeans and a hat and Brit was slightly behind in jeans
also. They were on a flight to Hawaii with a stop in Los Angeles."

the local Memphis newspapers is reporting *NSYNC's Justin Timberlake and
Britney Spears have been spotted on Saturday at Charlie Vergos' Rendezvous
restaurant, where they dined with members of Justin's family. Robert Stewart
Jr. waited on the table and said, "I usually wait on him whenever he's
in Memphis."
January 1, 2002 - News of
the World reports Britney Spears has told a friend that she and her *NSYNC
boyfriend Justin Timberlake have 'great sex'. The couple also spent three
nights in a suite in Rio ealier in the month.
