April 30, 2002 - The Mirror reports Mariah Carey is in a battle with Britney Spears for New England Patriots' quarterback Tom Brady. Mariah came on to Brady at a party she threw for her cousin in Boston, while Britney Spears has told organizers to make sure he has a backstage pass when her tour hits Boston. A source revealed, "Word is Britney pines to have face time with the man of the moment and she's gone out of her way to make sure they meet." April 30, 2002 - The Coca-Cola Company is contributing $1 million to *NSYNC's Challenge for the Children Foundation and helping the group to raise awareness for the Foundation, which raises money for various children's charities and programs nationwide. As part of the effort, Coca-Cola will be the title sponsor of this year's Challenge for the Children IV celebrity basketball tournament fund-raiser, which will be held in Orlando in July. Justin Timberlake said of the sponsorship, "We are thrilled to have Coca-Cola on board as our title sponsor of this year's event. Together our foundation and The Coca-Cola Company can help make a difference in children's lives." Read more.

April 30, 2002 - Jim Abbott of the Orlando Sentinel spoke to JC Chasez on the much rumored subject that *NSYNC's show in Orlando last night was their last. JC insisted, "Nooooo... It's not even a long break. It's a short, short break. We want to take a bit of time to experiment." Still, some fans are worried it may be, including Vicky French who travelled from Georgia to see the show and said, "We think this might be the last show. April 29, 2002 - Associated Press reports Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez of *NSYNC commented on the death of TLC's Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes at a news conference in Orlando for the groups' Challenge for the Children Foundation. Justin said, "She had a passion for what she did. She loved to work and she loved to make music." Bandmate JC added, "She had high energy and a lust for life. She was always energetic." Read more.

April 29, 2002 - Jolie Lash of Rolling Stone chatted with Bloodhound Gang frontman Jimmy Pop who revealed *NSYNC may be taking part in their new album, "We both agreed to do it. I talk to them occasionally. I sent Joey [Fatone] one of those Jagermeister Tap machines for Christmas." Meanwhile, Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys has contacted Pop for his solo album, "He asked me to write a song for him for his new record, a rock song . . . It was funny because the letter I got from the director of the company says he wants to make an anti-pop pop record. And I guess his tastes in music are probably a lot different than what people would expect. So I just called him yesterday and we shot the sh** and, yeah, we'll see where that goes." Read more.

April 28, 2002 - The guys from *NSYNC were on the Saturday Show on BBC where they talked about their favorite karaoke songs, the best thing about being in the group, who was the best dancer, their dating status (Justin Timberlake nodded and raised his hand when asked if he was single), what artists they'd like to work with, and more.

April 28, 2002 - Teen People caught up with John Mayer and in the magazine's latest issue he says of *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake: "Justin Timberlake. If he were a stock, I would cash out all my publishing and buy it. I think Justin Timberlake is the next Michael Jackson. That kid is walking around with this melody bomb in his head and nobody knows it's about to go off."

April 27, 2002 - Bill Ellis of GoMemphis.com reviewed *NSYNC's show at The Pyramid on Thursday before a crowd of about 16,000. Ellis said, "Having the rowdier P. Diddy (a.k.a. Puff Daddy; a.k.a. Sean 'Puffy' Combs) open the concert seemed an odd move for the world's biggest boy band - unless said band is ready for adulthood, which they are, and not just because 'NSync members have been spotted 'NEbriated. The double bill gamble paid off, however. P. Diddy had the largely young, largely female audience waving their hands in the air like they just didn't care." Read more.

April 27, 2002 - As we reported earlier, Kelly Osbourne ('The Osbournes') was interviewed by Chauncé Hayden of Steppin Out magazine. Kelly talked about how didn't believe Britney Spears virgin claims, saying "I think it's absolute bollocks that Britney Spears isn't having sex with Justin. For fu**'s sake, look at him! He's a gorgeous teen idol and she's fu**ing gorgeous! Of course they're fu**ing humping! How are they not?" As for her personal feelings for Timberlake, she said, "I used to have the hugest attraction to him when I was little! I thought he was gorgeous. But you take another look and yes, he's a good-looking man, but I think it's the whole idea that he's in a boy band and he sings. April 27, 2002 - *NSYNC issued a statement Friday following word that TLC's Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes had died Thursday night in a car accident in Honduras. "Lisa was a wonderful person who brought a great energy and vibe when she walked in the room. She will truly be missed."

April 27, 2002 - MTV News has a few more details on Eminem's new single, which takes shots at *NSYNC's Chris Kirkpatrick, Limp Bizkit, and Moby. As for Moby, Em raps that at 36, Moby is too old to be in tune with what people want to hear and that "nobody listens to techno." Meanwhile, Eminem's album 'The Eminem Show' will apparently include a bonus DVD for the first two million copies sold - no doubt an effort to get a huge opening weekend of sales for the disc. Johnson of The Daytona Beach News-Journal spoke to NSB2's Kevin Armstrong about their older boyband, which he describes saying, "We call it Pop Pop because that is what we all are, Pops." Meanwhile, Joey Fatone's 55 year old father Joe Fatone Sr., who also is in the group, said of his son's musical inspiration, "Rather than passing the ball off to my son, he is passing it back to me." April 26, 2002 - Shelby Loosch of the Globe reports *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake was having a great time at The Standard hotel bar in Los Angeles with a group of young ladies, when one of them accidently spilled red wine down the front of his white dress shirt. Timberlake politely excused himself and got some club soda and cloth from the bartender and cleaned up the stained shirt.

April 25, 2002 - Bill Zwecker of the Chicago Sun-Times reports that sources close to *NSYNC star Justin TImberlake say he's very smitten by Destiny's Child 'middle one' Beyonce Knowles. Justin's rep laughed off the report saying he's "not very" serious about his crush with Beyonce. Some have speculated that his one-sided fascination with Knowles that was the final straw that broke the back of his long romance with Britney Spears. Meanwhile, Britney's relationship with cheorographer and dancer Brian Friedman is said to be developing, "It's in the early stages, but she sure seems taken with him." Read more.

April 25, 2002 - theWB.com reports tonight's (Thursday) concert on the the network won't be the previously scheduled '*NSYNC: Bigger Than Live' used at IMAX theaters, but instead will be their concert at New York's Madison Square Garden, which was seen earlier on HBO and has be released to DVD.

April 25, 2002 - MTV News caught up with Pink ahead of her tour with Lenny Kravitz, where she shared her feelings on keeping this more intimate than her previous tour, which saw her performing a three-song set opening for *NSYNC. "Big productions, to me, are great — like, I love going to Vegas and seeing shows — but I think that sometimes it's distracting, especially when you are there to listen to the music," Pink said. "I remember being on tour with 'NSYNC, and I don't know if this is appropriate, but it was something like a $5 million stage, and to me that was just like, 'Man, I will take a box out there and stand on it with a microphone. I ain't spending that much money.' I love the shows that are in dingy little dark clubs, smoky, no production whatsoever." Read more.

April 25, 2002 - Katrillion reports *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake recently discussed his legacy in an interview saying, "For me, personally, when I look back when I'm a granddad sitting on my porch and I look back at what we did, if we touched one person and helped change their life ... I think that's what we want to do. Change the world through music. If we helped them in a tough time, if what we did touched someone and made them feel special, then that's good enough for me and that's one of the most rewarding things I think you can possibly have. It's better than any Grammy or anything you can get."

April 24, 2002 - Joey Fatone (they called him 'Fat One' throughout the interview) of *NSYNC called in to KISS 106.1's Jackie & Bender to promote his new movie 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding'. Joey talked about his role in the film and his last appearance in Seattle where he told the interview to do her reseach -- well she's getting back at Joey now. April 24, 2002 - Melissa Ruggieri of the Richmond Times-Dispatch was on hand at Sunday's *NSYNC show at the MCI Center - and gave out plenty of backhanded compliments before offering the group advice. Amongst her praising remarks: "Return to the road to promote the same album as last summer, thereby squeezing every last nickel from Suzie's college fund." As for what the guys should do next, Ruggieri opined, " Perhaps an extended break should be considered after this tour wraps on Sunday. The teen fans can grow up and expand their musical tastes, allowing *NSYNC to reevaluate. But now seems the perfect time to retire this current repertoire. End it on a high note, guys, and be proud." April 24, 2002 - Derek Simmonsen of the Washington Times was on hand at Sunday night's sold-out *NSYNC show at the MCI Center walking away impressed with the group that "still knows how to wow its target demographic." Simmonsen said, "Stripping away the synthesizers and putting an electric guitar in its place helped highlight the skilled vocals of Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez, the two lead singers, with able backing from Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick and Lance Bass." April 24, 2002 - David Segal of the Washington Post lamented the lengthy run that the teen pop craze has had and in the past has gotten angry e-mails from teen fans of the genre. One such fan, 14 year old Roxanne Shorrock had sounded off on his review of *NSYNC's 'Celebrity' album last year. So for the group's show on Sunday at the MCI Center, he took her along to bring her perspective of the show. While Segal said of their scaled down set, "The whole production looked kinetic, highly professional and a little silly." Roxanne countered, "It was great. I love the way their voices blend together, and I loved the way J.C. sang the last note of 'I Want You Back.'" Read more.

April 24, 2002 - Scott Mervis of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette critiqued *NSYNC's show at the Mellon Arena last night and didn't have much good to say about the scaled back and more intimate show. Mervis said, "The get-to-know-the-group part was fairly intolerable with the boys trading off bad jokes and Clarion native Kirkpatrick, the one with the goat beard, freestyling on fairy tales like he had indeed just come from the parking lot of a Grateful Dead show." Mervis also predicted solo days for the group's pair of frontmen Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez: "The better Timberlake and Chasez sound and the more tired the five-piece choreography appears, the more they look like solo artists, and here's guessing that day comes sooner rather than later." April 24, 2002 - Dan DeLuca of the Philadelphia Inquirer reviewed the *NSYNC and Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs concert at the First Union Center on Thursday, blasting Puffy and not having much better to say about *NSYNC's show. DeLuca says the group "stressed their lineage with a pleasant medley of Beatles and Temptations songs. But just when you thought their taste was good, if obvious, they covered Christopher Cross' 'Sailing.' Yecch!" Read more.

April 23, 2002 - Cindy Adams of the New York Post reports Justin Timberlake is moving on after his relationship for tabloid PR fodder with Britney Spears. He's come to New York, hired publicist Ken Sunshine (who also rep's Leo DiCaprio), and is going solo. Adams says "Movies. Projects are lining up. He's ready for his close-up. Also for sophisticated public relations. There is life after Britney." Later in her column, she reports Britney was spotted smoking Marlboros at Mercury Hotel's outdoor cafe in South Beach. April 23, 2002 - Walter Scott of Parade magazine was quizzed by a read on why so many pop stars like Christina Aguilera grab their crotch while performing. Scott spoke with choreographer Dan Karaty, who employs the move in *NSYNC's tours. Karaty said, "It's really not meant as a sexual gesture. It's more of a power move picked up by Michael jackson for his Thriller routine and later by Madonna." Still, not everyone is sold on the move, including Britney Spears: "She doesn't think it fits her girly style."

April 21, 2002 - Pagesix.com's Brian Blomquist spoke with Lori Garver, who is under consideration with Lance Bass and Polish millionaire Leszek Czarnecki for a seat on a Russian space flight later this year. The 40 year old other said of her *NSYNC competition, "I think it would be a good thing for Lance to go to space, as he has a unique demographic. Celebrity missions, wealthy individuals who go to space, are really helping to spread the message. What we offer different from that is I'm your mother, your daughter, your sister, your friend." April 21, 2002 - The New York Post spoke with Joey Fatone of *NSYNC at the after-party for 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding' at The Park. Fatone said of the group's post-tour break, "We're taking a break until the beginning of next year. We're all going to focus on our individual projects." As for what he'll be doing during that time, he said, "I have a role in ‘The Cooper' with Alec Baldwin. I play a sleazy lounge singer in Las Vegas - worse than a lounge lizard. I like acting, but I also want to direct."

April 20, 2002 - Katrillion spoke with JC Chasez of *NSYNC about his Mickey Mouse Club friend Tony Lucca who is opening for *NSYNC on select tour spots. Chasez said, "He's incredible this kid, man. He's got a lot to say. He's a heck of a songwriter besides being one of my good friends. I think people are going to be really impressed with what this guy has to say." April 19, 2002 - Clarissa Cruz of Entertainment Weekly spoke with insiders in the Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake camps following the couple's recent split and what the two have planned for the future. On Justin's solo plans, Brian McKnight said of the *NSYNC star he duetted with on '''My Kind of Girl', "[Justin] is gonna be able to do whatever it is he wants to do for the rest of his life -- he's got that much talent.'' As for Spears, Grammy-winning songwriter Diane Warren said, "She's a better singer than people give her credit for." Read more.

April 19, 2002 - MTV News spoke with several publicists on the 'are they or aren't they' dating situation currently going on with Britney Timberlake and *NSYNC's Justin Timberlake. Speculating on why the couple have left the issue up in the air was a publicist who said, "Who knows? Maybe the final decision hasn't actually been made on whether a couple is breaking up. Maybe they're still trying to work it out. Maybe one of them doesn't want to be broken up so they're denying it. There are all kinds of personal reasons why you would deny something." Read more.

April 19, 2002 - Justin Timberlake of *NSYNC will be featured on Entertainment Tonight Friday where he'll talk about the new series of star-studded public service announcements on AIDS awareness. Timberlake said, "You know, this [AIDS] isn't another thing where you can just sign a bill and it's going to go away. It's still here and we still need help. April 19, 2002 - ABC News spoke with Joey Fatone of *NSYNC on what plans are for a new album after the guys take a break from the group for a few months. Joey said, "I know we're going to start writing probably around November, December. So I'd say if anything, it'd probably be like March or maybe towards the middle of next year." In the meantime, Justin Timberlake will be penning a solo album. "Justin's going to be writing an R&B solo album," Fatone says. Read more.

April 17, 2002 - NSYNC were on CBS' The Early Show this morning where they talked about the scaled down tour, Lance going into space, and what the other guys would leave the group for under similar circumstances. Justin Timberlake said if the NBA called him up, or Tiger Woods called him up that he'd go in a heartbeat, while Chris said a gardening gig at the Playboy mansion would be cause for him to ditch his bandmates. They'll be on again tomorrow, where JC and Justin will give them a tour of the backstage area.

April 17, 2002 - Eddie and JoBo of B96.com spoke with Justin Timberlake of *NSYNC backstage before their show in Chicago earlier this month. April 17, 2002 - US Weekly has a feature on the Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears post-breakup. Though they call it an exclusive, there isn't much that is new news. Writer Michael Lewittes did speak with a friend of the pair who revealed of Justin and dancer Jenna Dewan's budding relationship, "During the two days of rehearsals [before the February 27 Grammy awards], they ate together and really got to talk." The pal also added that Dewan "often flies to see him." The pal is quoted as saying, "I'm not sure if Justin broke up with Britney for Jenna - only he would know that for sure."

April 17, 2002 - Jeannette Walls of MSNBC reports pals of Britney Spears and *NSYNC's Justin Timberlake are wondering who will end up with the couple's $3 million mansion in Beverly Hills. An insider revealed, "It was always more Britney’s [house] than Justin’s. . . . That was one of the problems in their relationship. Britney was much more eager to settle down and make things permanent." Read more.

April 17, 2002 - Sarah Rodman of the Boston Herald was at Monday night's *NSYNC show at the FleetCenter, having to leave early to make her deadline - which she partially blamed on the group. Rodman wrote, "The performance was paced well as the quintet oscillated between jittery dance pop hits like 'Bye, Bye, Bye' and 'Tearin' Up My Heart' and ballads like 'This I Promise You.' But things came to a grinding halt near the end as the group told agonizingly tedious jokes and stories." Read more.

April 17, 2002 - Lisa Rose of the New Jersey Star-Ledger was at *NSYNC's Continental Airlines Arena concert on Sunday, and was unimpressed with the scaled back theme. Rose said of the show, "The lack of eye candy worked against *NSYNC because they don't have a strong enough catalog to pull it off. The whole night was imbued with a sense of fatigue. The soft-shoe choreography and unnaturally sweet harmonies seemed like relics from a sunnier time." Read more.

April 16, 2002 - The New York Post reports Justin Timberlake and Lance Bass of *NSYNC were drinking up vodkas and Red Bulls at Brother Jimmy's while horny girls approached the pair spraying whip cream on their bellies and other areas, and demand to be cleaned. The *NSYNC'ers obliged by licking off the whipped cream. A witness said of Timberlake, "He was out of his bleeping mind."

April 16, 2002 - New York Metro reports Lance Bass of *NSYNC was too shy to introduce himself to actress Parker Posey last week at the premiere party at Roseland for 'The Sweetest Thing' (in which she plays Judy Webb), so he summoned his publicist to make introductions. Parker said "Who's that?" when the publicist asked if she'd like to meet him. After explaining Lance was in *NSYNC, she agreed and the two chatted and had a photo taken together.

April 16, 2002 - A fan on LiveDaily.com reports *NSYNC's Sunday night concert had a very special guest - Nelly. The Continental Airlines Arena show got the biggest reaction of the night when the rapper hit the stage during *NSYNC's set. Read more.

April 16, 2002 - Bill Zwecker of the Chicago Sun Times reports that despite several sightings of Justin Timberlake with dancer Jenna Dewan, don't look for her to become the *NSYNC star's next long-term girlfriend. An *NSYNC insider told Zwecker, "He's going to be dating lots of people for the foreseeable future."

April 15, 2002 - MTV News spoke with Mr. Cheeks about his gigs on Usher's tour and *NSYNC's tour he recently landed. April 13, 2002 - Next month's two-hour special celebrating the 50th anniversary of American Bandstand will include a huge lineup of stars that include *NSYNC, Jennifer Lopez, Lenny Kravitz, Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, Alanis Morissette, Cher, KISS, Babyface, Stevie Wonder, the Village People, KC & the Sunshine Band, and Whitney Houston. The show will also feature film clips from Madonna, Bryan Adams, Gloria Estefan, Olivia Newton-John and Britney Spears. 'American Bandstand's 50th ... A Celebration!' airs May 3 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

April 13, 2002 - A  white lace bra, size 34C worn by Andrea Martin and signed by Nia Vardalos and Joey Fatone is up for auction as part of 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding', with proceeds going to benefit Trinity Family Services, a program developed to fight child abuse. April 13, 2002 - The New York Post reports *NSYNC's Justin Timberlake was handcuffed and thrown into the back of a police car early Friday morningoutside the topless club VIP. Cops told Timberlake they'd gotten a disorderly conduct complaint and despite trying to talk his way out of it, cops had none of his explaination of innocense. Fortunately, the entire incident was a gag as a spy revealed, "After about 15 minutes, they said, 'OK, that's it.' put handcuffs on him and put him in back of the car" - at which point all of Timberlake's buddies started laughing and pointing at him. It turns out that they played a joke on him. Somebody who they were with was a cop, and called a couple of his buddies." Read more.

April 13, 2002 - Dan Aquilante of the New York Post chimed in exactly opposite thoughts of Jim Farber after Wednesday's *NSYNC concert held at Nassau Coliseum. Aquilante called the show "terrific" and "entertaining" adding of the group's mini-set of Beatles and Temptations songs, "Not only was that the best segment of a very good show, the set illustrated that as the *NSYNC guys gray, they don't have to close shop - they just need the right material to grow older gracefully along with their fans." April 13, 2002 - Jim Farber of the New York Daily News was in attendance at Wednesday's *NSYNC show at Nassau Coliseum, where he felt the group was "outta touch." Farber commented, "They were trying to make a sneaky point — that the Fab Four started out as a boy band, too, and look where they ended up. But given *NSYNC's bar mitzvah-band delivery of the classics, it hinted at a very different future for them: Vegas." Read more.

April 12, 2002 - Justin Timberlake broke his silence on the 'Rosie O'Donnell Show' earlier today on the status of his relationship with Britney Spears. Timberlake said, "I love Britney with all my heart and I will never do anything to disrespect her." He also said all the rumors and talk hurt because they affect "someone who's so special to me." April 12, 2002 - Launch.com spoke with Joey Fatone of *NSYNC on his role in the upcoming Joel Zwick-directed romantic comedy, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, due in theaters April 19. The Italian Fatone said of his fellow castmembers efforts to teach him a little Greek, "They were actually teaching me all dirty words, believe it or not--some that I probably will not be able to say right now. Apparently Justin did the same thing at the Chicago Megastore where he purchased the 'Donny Hathaway Collection', 'Very Best of Otis Redding' and Marvin Gaye's 'What's Going On'. Read more.

April 11, 2002 - WENN spoke with Lance Bass outside the premiere of 'The Sweetest Thing' in New York on Monday night, where he declined comment on the relationship status of his *NSYNC bandmate Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears. When asked though if other band members might take over where Justin left off with Spears, he said, "She's one of our best friends. I don't think anyone of us will be dating her any time soon."

April 11, 2002 - Colin Devenish of SoundSpike News spoke with Chris Kirkpatrick of *NSYNC about what to expect to evolve from the group in the coming years, prompting Chris to say, "That's exactly what it is--it's an evolution. We grow with what we do. I can't predict what we're going to grow into next or we'd probably already be there. We work really hard on staying on the cutting edge and staying on top of things. April 11, 2002 - Heidi Oringer of ABCNews.com commented on the recent run of cancellations, including *NSYNC's Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears relationship, Oprah's book club, and Fox's 'The American Embassy'. On the much talked about pop `split, Oringer said, "For whatever reason, the Britney/Justin romance is over. Now, I certainly didn't think this was the do-all and end-all of relationships. April 11, 2002 - Regis and Kelly talked yesterday about today's appearance by NSB2... the Not So Boy Band that includes Joey Fatone's father Jospeh. The guys are in town with *NSYNC to open for the group on their current tour. Regis gave a little grief about boy bands (mocking pulling a trigger to his head), and the audience didn't seem to excited about the prospect of a new boy band on the scene.

April 11, 2002 - Roger Friedman of Fox News spoke to Lance Bass of *NSYNC outside of 'The Sweetest Thing' premiere in New York on Monday. Lance said when asked if bandmate Justin Timberlake was really broken up with Britney Spears, "She came on the road with us right after the Grammy's and they were bickering all the time. April 10, 2002 - Actress, comedian, and cult figure of sorts Janeane Garofalo was on Last Call with Carson Daly on early Tuesday morning, where she discussed her thoughts on pop music. Garofalo is no fan of what currently is passing for pop music, including *NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, and Britney Spears on her list, which she tied to the corporate controlled radio and television interests that are "complicit in the dumbing down of the tastes of Americans." April 10, 2002 - MTV News spoke with Lance Bass of *NSYNC on his recent trip to Russia in preparation for what hopefully will be a trip to outerspace later this year. Lance said of his ultra-thorough physical, "You had a different doctor for every part of your body, and to make sure it all works from your eyes, nose, ears, whatever, every internal organ so I know I'm very healthy. They passed me all from those tests so now I'm doing a set of tests here in America. Once I pass that, and I hope I do, then I'm off to Russia, ... and hopefully I'll be cleared by the Russians to ... live there for six months and train to be a cosmonaut, which I'm very excited about." Talking about whether certain guys in the group are more friendly with each other than others, Justin insisted, "I think that's the best part about, that's the part about *NSYNC that makes it extraordinary is, you know, we're not just a group. You know, we're friends and we started off as friends and, you know, all of us, we're kind of like a big family now. So even if we weren't, you know, *NSYNC as people know us like that, we like Joey said would still call each other on the phone and go hang out and go to movies, go to clubs, whatever. So nah." April 10, 2002 - Anonymous writes "Extra TV has reported that *NSYNC member Justin Timberlake has definitely moved on from ex-girlfriend Britney Spears. He had been spotted in the past with 19 year old professional dancer Jenna Dewan. It is reported that she has been flying with *NSYNC to Los Angeles and other places during their current tour to be with Justin and is now spending the week with him in New York. April 10, 2002 - Entertainment Tonight spoke with Lance Bass of *NSYNC outside of the premiere of 'The Sweetest Thing' in New York on Monday night. Lance was asked about the status of his bandmate Justin Timberlake and girlfriend Britney Spears, and seemed to echo earlier comments made by Justin's mom Lynn that the pair have hit a rough spot. Lance said, "Oh, Justin's fine. He's -- they're all good, you know. Relationships, in good times, bad times, we'll see how this one works out."

April 10, 2002 - The Tacoma News Tribune has more details on the rumored Justin Timberlake call to girlfriend Britney Spears to drop their romance the day of the *NSYNC show at the Tacoma Dome. Ernest A. Jasmin reports, as we've earlier indicated, that Britney Spears did in fact attend the show, according to Tacoma Dome staff. April 10, 2002 - The Sunday People reports Britney Spears has been making tearful phonecalls to Justin Timberlake begging him to get back with her. A source told the British tabloid, "Every time Justin talks to her on the phone it degenerates into tears and arguments. The problem is Britney thinks the solution is quite easy. April 9, 2002 - Well it might not provide the same experience as watching it in an IMAX theater, but '*NSYNC: Bigger Than Live' is going to hit your television screens April 25 on The WB at 8 PM. When asked if JC ever wants to go shopping, what does he do, he replied, "If I wanna go to the grocery store, I'll go either to, ya know, the Walmart at 2 o'clock in the morning, and I'll be fine, because that's usually when I'm up anyway, [sighing] and that's... usually you don't get hungry until about 2 am. April 9, 2002 - A poster on LiveDaily.com shared vidcaps of Joey Fatone's suprise guest audience appearance on Oprah today, where he was joined by girlfriend Kelly Baldwin. Apparently some friends of his wanted to go to the show, so Joey used his pull to land the tickets and went along himself. The *NSYNC'er with the biggest appetite picked a good day to go, as Oprah's guest was Dr. Andrew Weil and Oprah's former chef Chef Rosie Daley, who were there to cook up heart-healthy recipes from tostadas to chocolate treats. April 8, 2002 - Katrillion reports Jive's publicist Sonia Muckle is denying reports Justin Timberlake had asked his *NSYNC bandmates to take the year off so that he could start a solo career. Muckle said, "No truth to this rumor at all." Still, while the rumor is denied, there appears little doubt that the band will take an extended break as several members are planning projects on their own, including Timberlake.

April 7, 2002 - Bri writes "*NSYNC were in town Thursday and Friday. I saw Lance Bass, Chris Kirkpatrick, and Justin Timberlake at the Funky Budda Lounge on Thursday night. April 6, 2002 - Glenn Gamboa of Newsday spoke with *NSYNC's Lance Bass and Justin Timberlake about plans after their current tour wraps up. Gamboa says Timberlake is expected to work on a solo album and perhaps a movie, while Chasez may work on solo material or produce some other acts. Lance is hoping to head into space, and Joey will continue work on an acting career. Kirkpatrick will likely pursue broadening his clothing line, FuManSkeeto. April 5, 2002 - Today's K104 Gossip to Go with Flo Anthony had the people on the show discussing the divorce of Jeff and Brooke Gordon. April 5, 2002 - The London Star reports the real reason behind the breakup of Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake was the *NSYNC star's admission last year that he considered Beyonce as the sexiest woman on the world, and failed to mention his girlfriend in the top three.

April 5, 2002 - Apparently ET goofed last night in saying Lynne Spears had commented on the Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears breakup - it actually was Justin's mother Lynn Harless who told the magazine, "They're in love one minute, not in love the next." Adding, "They are just have problems right now. We just want them to both be happy."

April 5, 2002 - Y-100 has more graphic details on why Britney Spears and *NSYNC's Justin Timberlake split recently. The primary reason given was Britney's reluctance to have sex with Justin before marriage and her flaunting of her sexuality, left Justin sexually frustrated. When they were asked what they'd do if they were girls for a day, Justin said, "I'd go to the bathroom and see why they always go in pairs." April 5, 2002 - Colin Devenish of Rolling Stone spoke with Chris Kirkpatrick of *NSYNC who's signed on for a recurring vocal guest spot for the Nickelodeon cartoon 'The Fairly OddParents'. Chris said of his new gig, "I think it's a funny show. There's so many cartoons that are out now that kind of talk down to kids, and make kids feel like, 'This is a circle. This is my head. This is the body. This is me at school being a kid.' Fairly OddParents is one of the cartoons they watch and just laugh at, because they're not afraid to make those fart jokes and they're not afraid to talk to the kids on their level and say, 'This is funny. April 4, 2002 - The much talked about story of Justin Timberlake of *NSYNC blowing big cash in Las Vegas recently actually had the entire group, minus Joey Fatone who flew home to Orlando to be with his child, partying the night away. After blowing $200,000 an insider reportedly said, "Justin was behaving like a man possessed. In the morning, JC was boasting he'd notched up three girls, but Justin laughed and said he went one better." The guys stunned onlookers later by asking a lackey to get another $50,000 wired to them so they could continue their wild partying. Read more.

April 4, 2002 - John Sinkevics of The Grand Rapids Press was at Tuesday's *NSYNC concert at the Van Andel Arena where 10,000 fans cheered on the group. As for the fun-rockers from Smash Mouth and the guitar-playing Tony Lucca opening for *NSYNC, Sinkevics said, "It made Tuesday's show seem a bit uneven. Because as much as *NSYNC tried to prove it could change things up and get small and intimate with its music, it couldn't abandon the candy coating and chocolate frosting that made it so sweet and so big to begin with." April 4, 2002 - JC Chasez of *NSYNC spoke with 93.1 WDRQ in Detroit yesterday and was asked about the creative process of the group's videos. JC revealed, "We don't ever try and out-do a video cause we all feel there good for what they are. Each video served it's purpose and we're not trying to out-do the last one. We play justice to the song, really. In essence that's really going to light the song. That's what its really about. We don't try and out-do it. Its not like if we blew something up in this video were gonna have to blow something up twice as big in the next video. We don't do that, we but together a video that suits the song." April 3, 2002 - MTV News reports *NSYNC's JC Chasez was a surprise guest at the Brothers Groove show in Royal Oak, Michigan, Monday. The guys had performed the previous night in Auburn Hills. JC checked out the Detroit rockers show while signing autographs for fans. The band's frontman Chris Codish's called JC to the stage where he freestyled to "1-2-3" because he didn't know the words.

April 3, 2002 - NSYNC online spokesperson Melinda Bell gave fans a new update from the band's latest tour stop on Tuesday. Melinda wrote: "Tonight we are in Detroit, well Auburn Hills. It has been such a great tour. Joe, our road manager, is so excited he has a fan club... Oh my gosh! You guys have no idea the monster you are creating. Easter was nice. We had a big crew party and a bunch of the crew went to the Detroit Pistons game. The Easter Bunny also left everyone baskets on their bunks. April 2, 2002 - Michael Musto of the Village Voice spoke with Tara Reid who again denied reports that she had partied with Britney Spears the night Justin Timberlake ended their relationship. April 1, 2002 - John Sinkevics of The Grand Rapids Press spoke with *NSYNC's Chris Kirkpatrick where he revealed the group will continue its trend of writing more of its own material and swaying away from the 'boy band' sound. Chris said, "If the business people had their way about it, they would milk us as a boy band the rest of our life until it didn't work anymore and then drop us. We're trying to mature with our sound. April 1, 2002 - Jon Bream of the Star Tribune was at the *NSYNC concert Saturday night at Target Center in Minneapolis calling the performance an "underwhelming but entertaining show."
