October 27, 2003 - Malcom
X Abram of the Acron Beacon Journal reviewed *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake's
show at Agora earlier this month. He writes, "To his credit, Timberlake
focused on the music, saving most of his 'sexy' dance moves, cribbed from
Bad era Michael Jackson and the 'Poppin' and Lockin' 101' handbook for
the latter part of the show. His serviceable falsetto got lost in the mix
at times, but with the entire crowd singing along to 'Senorita', 'Cry Me
A River' and a downright funky 'Rock Your Body', no one seemed to mind.
Sixty-five minutes later -- after a set that consisted of six songs, a
musical band intro that allowed the members to show off and no encore --
Timberlake's stop in Cleveland was over. Many fans expressed disappointment
at the high ticket price and truncated set ("he didn't even take his shirt
off!" one fan grumbled) and a chant of "Justin Sucks!" was briefly raised."

October 27, 2003 - NSYNC
star JC Chasez has constructed an interesting theory pertaining to the
opposite sex. "There's three reasons why a girl would dance on another
girl," he told MTV News, explaining the basis for 'Some Girls (Dance with
Women),' the steamy first single from his upcoming solo album. "One, she's
attracted to a guy, so she decides to tease him a little bit. Two, she's
avoiding a guy. And three, she's a lesbian. I decided to take an optimistic
approach. She's doing it for me." So that explains Madonna's onstage fling
with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera at the MTV Video Music Awards.
"Everybody knows they're not lesbians; they're teasing the world," Chasez
said. "Girls are willing to do strange things to get our attention." Read

to ask the singer about his tour swinging through club- and theater-size

of a storyteller vibe. It gives people an opportunity to see how the songs
took form in the studio, 'cause the way we did it was we'd come up with
the groove and then just start writing the song... and I think that's what
the club show brings forth." Read more.

of Justin and Britney come down to the legitimate matter of music. With

pick of crack arrangers, producers and songwriters, natural talent and
taste are the only real variables left, and for now at least, Justin appears

*NSYNC will return to the studio. "It could be spring or summer. We never
really set a date in stone," Justin Timberlake said. "We just said, 'Let's
just start getting all of us in place so we can start making a record again'.
That's the way a record should be made. It's more fun that way. You just
have to follow the inspiration where it goes." As for JC's repeatedly delayed
'Schizophrenic', he says, "We're not really going to postpone it too much.
My record's done, so I can go to work any time. As far as me being out
there, I'm going to take my chances with mine, that's just the way it is.
But we're going to be friends forever, so the record will get done no matter
what. It's just a matter of timing." Read more.

the Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, 98 Degrees, O-Town, 5ive and any other group
of four or five doe-eyed cuties with smooth moves, great haircuts and the
ability to break hearts with just a smile or an eye twinkle. Suddenly they're
obsolete, swept aside by highly sexualized rebellious hip-hop and R&B
rappers who rob their preteen fans of their innocence. I'm not ashamed
to yearn for the resurrection of boy bands, even if my 23-year-old heart
is older and wiser than it was five years ago when I attended my first
Backstreet Boys concert." Read more.

writes "I was at the NORVA in Norfolk, VA for the Justin Timberlake concert
last night, and it was kind of a disappointment. First of all, Justin didn't
even come on stage til 9:30 when the show was supposed to start at 8. There
was no opening act so we waited around which was fine. But then Cameron
came on stage to talk to the band. As if no one is gonna notice her, so
of course people started saying her name, so she said hi and walked off.
But instead of letting her *NSYNC boyfriend do his thing, she reappeared
it felt like every 10 minutes on stage. What the hell? I mean it was alright,
but please let someone else have the spotlight for once, Cameron. It was
also disappointing that Justin only performed 5 songs. Oh well, at least
I got to see him closer than ever. And he's still cute and a great performer

writes "In the latest issue of Popworld, there's an article about JC Chasez.
It starts off, "After a break from the limelight, *NSYNC fella JC Chasez
is finally ready to step out of band mate Justin’s shadow," in reference
to his supposed upcoming solo album Schizophrenic. But the reporter noticed
JC get a little agitated during the interview whenever Justin Timberlake's
name was mentioned. The reporter notes, "Although JC is complimentary about
Justin, and is obviously his friend, the fact that he mentions the other
lads throughout the interview, and lists Justin’s achievements second,
suggests he doesn’t want to be merely tagged ‘Justin’s band mate.’ " Also,
according to this article, the earliest the members of Nsync will even
meet up again is spring of 2004. These excerpts came from the JJB. More
excerpts from the interview can be found at popworld.com."
