writes "I was watching 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' last night, and Jimmy said something
about him working together with Britney Spears, and Kanye said, "Well,
I only did a remix for her." And Jimmy said, "Did you try to hit it?",
and the crowd laughed. And Kanye said, "Well we did go into the studio
once but Justin was there, so no.""
June
28, 2004 - schizo76 writes "I am not one to like pop music, I never owned
an *NSYNC album, but after seeing him perform, JC Chasez has got me. I
think hes got huge talent, and selects the wrong songs for publicity.
He has plenty of great songs on his diverse 'Schizophrenic' CD that he
should have made singles. Watching him perform was amazing. He put his
heart and soul into everything. '100 Ways' had to be the best performance
of the night in my eyes, but also songs like 'Dear Goodbye' and 'Everything
You Want', which completely reminded me of Sting, were amazing to me. All
in all, I think if people really took a good listen to him, they wouldn't
see him for his *NSYNC ability, or his "looks" or even his first single
'Some Girls', but for the true talent he is."
June 25, 2004 - Justin Timberlake's

writes "Usher was featured on the syndicated newsmagazine show 'Entertainers
with Byron Allen' on Wednesday night, where he openly criticized Justin
Timberlake of *NSYNC and even took shots at Madonna, while boasting Janet
Jackson. On Justin, he told Byron, "He's still got to find his own style
and his own swagger - he's not on Usher's level. There can only be one
Usher and I'm sitting right here." He continued, "A lot of people compare
me to [Justin] and I don't understand why. I was making R&B classics
when he was singing bubblegum pop and I had plenty of successful albums.
I did the movies, and now he's trying to do movies. I've been in the game
for 10 years now." When asked about who he'd like to do a joint tour with
in the future, he said Janet Jackson. "She's an entertainer - a true entertainer.
There's no one like her. Some people compare her to Madonna, but I think
Janet's above that. Madonna hasn't impressed me in a decade, but musically,
Janet is still setting the bar. The way I feel is, everybody wants to be
Usher, everybody wants to be Janet - the problem is, we can't be duplicated.""

June 21, 2004 - Sophie Tedmanson
of The Australian writes: "There are many sides to Justin Timberlake. There's
Justin the charming pin-up-boy pop star, Justin the musician who wants
to make records like Steely Dan, Justin the burgeoning actor, Justin the
McDonald's rep, and Justin the celebrity who loves to hate the media when
not wanting to promote his albums or concerts. Yesterday, at an intimate
invitation-only press conference at Sydney's Fox Studios, we met all of

is something that's never impressed me. If there was a contest between
Justin and, say, Usher, Usher would win hands down. They're both talented.
But I've never been fond of cockiness. Some people can handle success and
some people can't. I'm starting to wonder if (the latter) is the case with
Justin. And it hurts me to say that." Read more.
