27, 2005 - The Daily Star reports that Cameron Diaz was attacked by model
Coralie Eicholtz (photo),
who punched her in the face, claiming that the actress had ruined her dress
at a star-studded bash in Monte Carlo. "As Cameron leaped over our seats
she accidentally trod on my dress - putting a big hole in it," the New
Zealand beauty revealed. "I toppled over and fell on my face - so I gave
her a right hook before my friends stepped in." Eicholtz is thinking about
further revenge, stealing Diaz's *NSYNC boyfriend Justin Timberlake. "The
perfect way to get her back would be to go after Justin Timberlake," she
warned. "That really would piss her off."

June 18, 2005 - Neil Sean
of Sky News reports that Charlotte Church is so worried that her pop career
will fail that she's secretly signed an acting agent as a career backup
plan in America. Though the Welsh singer has acted in only one small Brit
movie and one episode of 'Heartbeat' to date, a source revealed that she
is keen to land a role - however small - with her *NSYNC pal Justin Timberlake
in his first big screen comedy. "We get on well and I know he likes me,"
Church told the source. "What better way to break into film?" Read more.
June 18, 2005 - The New York
Times reports that Lindsay Lohan is joining with Cameron Diaz, *NSYNC star
Justin Timberlake, and an A-list of Hollywood actors who are trying to
turn the tables on the paparazzi. Spurred by the stars and their representatives,
the Los Angeles police and prosecutors have opened a criminal investigation
into what they describe as a new breed of photojournalists willing to flout
the law, drive recklessly and even slam into celebrities' cars. "The concern
is that because of these hyper-aggressive tactics on the part of the paparazzi,
someone is going to get hurt or killed," said William W. Hodgman, head
of the district attorney's target crimes division. Read more.

June 7, 2005 - MTV News caught
up with *NSYNC members Lance Bass and Joey Fatone to get their reaction
to the Backstreet Boys reforming and whether *NSYNC may follow suit. "We
will never be done — it's just one of those breaks where we have to go
do other things, especially Justin," Bass said, citing Justin Timberlake's
projects in music and film. "It might be five years from now, it might
be a year from now, but we will definitely do some more music," he added.
"I love that the Backstreet Boys have come back out now and kind of lost
that boy-band image. I love the new song, and it gives us hope and inspiration
we will have a new album." Read more.
June 7, 2005 - 'Alpha Dog'
director Nick Cassavettes has shed new details on Janet Jackson's infamous
Super Bowl breast flash on the imdb forum for the movie, and what Justin
Timberlake's role in the incident was. "This is how it went down (or, of
course, the info I got). JT was asked to perform at the Super Bowl and
had nothing to promote," Cassavettes wrote. "He turned down the request
on three separate occasions. Finally, he was pressured by the Networks
and his representatives and relented, in part because of who he was performing
with, whom he had a previous romantic relationship with and whom he remained
close with (ah, the plot thickens - so much for JT being a racist)." Read

June 7, 2005 - Radio 1 reports
that Bruce Willis is giving his 'Alpha Dog' co-star Justin Timberlake the
thumbs-up for the *NSYNC star's first big Hollywood role. "I think he's
great, I didn't do a whole lot of scenes with him but he did a great job,"
Willis said. "We're living in a pop culture world and they want everybody
to be an actor. They want Britney Spears to be an actor. I don't think
you can be thrown into that world and become an actor. I think acting is
a craft. I think you have to learn the tools of that craft before you commit
anything to film history."
