West tells Playboy magazine in their March issue, "I'm nowhere near as
good as Jay-Z, Eminem or Nas. So I compensate ... with star power, sheer

he's a true star, the entire package. The main thing I use to make up for
my lack of rapping skills is my content, my subject matter."

asked the *NSYNC star about the reaction he got the first day on the set.

there to work," Timberlake said. "It's easy to sort of say, 'Oh, look at
the musician slash rock star, he's gonna be a prima donna.' But you know,
it would have been easy for me to say, 'Look at these affected actors.'
I think we all came in for the same reasons. To do the work. And other
than that, I got drunk every night on set." Co-star Ben Foster added, "He
comes in and he's him. Take it or leave it. He's a team player. He came
in, worked harder than everybody. He didn't need to but he did because
that's how he operates." Read more.

The roles I was really responding to were the dramas. I was lucky to work

February 5, 2006 - The Associated
Press reports that though an *NSYNC reunion looks less and less likely,

February 5, 2006 - NSYNC
star Lance Bass posted a message to fans at his myspace.com blog on January
10th, a follow-up to a message that the boyband's annual Challenge For
The Children would not be taking place anymore. "I decided to take the
other blog down because it was getting out of hand," Bass said of his previous
posting. "I just assumed everyone knew CFTC was not happening because we
have not announced it. But then I got tons of mail asking where it was
this year, when, etc. cause they were saving money and planning on it.
So, I thought I would set the record straight. But I guess alot of other
people would rather hear me say this.... so here goes and believe what
you want. 'We have not decided on the dates yet for CFTC this year... so
stayed tuned to NSYNC.com for the latest details! See ya there!' It's hard
to convey through blog humor and different tones... I'm sorry if people
took the other blog the wrong way. There is no blame on anyone, just the
simple fact that some of us are really busy this summer and schedules do
not allow them to do CFTC... And I don't want to insult anyone's intelligence
and pretend things are going to happen when they are not. Maybe I should
start using more smileys so you know I'm not mad." Read more.

a fan. That means you are so talented that you are changing people's vocabulary.
Hat's off, skull off and scalp." Read more.

February 5, 2006 - Justin
Chang of Variety reviewed Justin Timberlake's new film 'Alpha Dog', calling
the film "standard-issue tabloid fare pimped out as a serious true-crime
saga." But, Chang said the "story's most intriguing element is the bond
that develops between Zack and Frankie (played with conviction by Timberlake),
who drags the boy to his home in Palm Springs. Cute but corruptible, Zack
turns out to be quite happy sampling Frankie's decadent lifestyle, even
losing his virginity to two girls in a swimming pool, in a scene that feels
like an outtake from 'Wild Things.'" Read more.
February 5, 2006 - James
Rocchi was on hand for the Sundance Film Festival premiere of the Justin
Timberlake starring 'Alpha Dog'. Rocchi writes, "There is some good acting
in 'Alpha Dog' specifically from Timberlake and Yelchin. It's
easy to laugh at Timberlake the second he's on-screen thanks to his public
persona as a lightweight wanna-be; the wisdom of the film comes as Cassavetes
has Timberlake play a lightweight wanna-be, a callow boy who can joke about
murder until he's realized too late he's about to do it." Read more.

February 5, 2006 - Chris
Baldwin of TravelGolf.com has a confession to make. "It's embarrassing,
somewhat humiliating (OK, forget the somewhat), thoroughly against any
code of coolness," Baldwin writes. "It's the kind of thing that a guy who
wants to be thought of as ... well, a GUY just doesn't admit. Ever. Not
under oath. Not under torture. Not under Carmen Electra's spell. Still,
it must be said. I love Justin Timberlake!" Read more.
